The staff was really friendly! Everything is overpriced. The magic 8 ball is 22 dollars! The selection was okay not the best though.

One of my favorite little shops we found on our summer trip to Telluride. I love spots like this,…read moreeven though everything is on the costly side. Picaya is like a high quality Earth Bounds Trading Company (are those still around?). Like a more eclectic, expensive, and small Pier 1 or World Market. Their tagline is "Many cultures... one source" - simple and fitting. It's super cozy in here, like a really awesome, worldly, and wealthy person's living room. Beautiful furniture, pillows, lamps, mirrors, hand woven baskets, bowls, wooden boxes, glass pipes, fancy candles and soaps, crystals, rugs, handmade toys and trinkets. Everything is so earthy and fragrant with vibrant colors and unique details. You could probably spend hours admiring all of these handmade goodies from around the world. Incense, spiritual decor, jewelry, wind-chimes, gorgeous wall art, kitchen tools... I didn't end up buying anything because we were only passing through and I'd already spent enough $$$, but it was definitely my kinda boutique. I wish I could fill my entire house with treasures from Picaya.

I absolutely adore Picaya! It's not exactly a tourist shop, it's not exacltlyan art gallery, it's…read morenot exactly a toy store - it's a little bit of everything. The place is so cool! Imagine a store filled with handmade carved wooden boxes of varying sizes and uses (I own at least two just for their aesthetics), multiple incense scents to choose from, mirrors, statues of dragons and buddhas, energy crystals, hand woven rugs and old school (yet still unique) children's toys designed to amaze and delight. The place is just excellent for finding something totally unique to take home to that unlucky soul who couldn't come to Telluride for the skiing. There are plenty of things that are easily packable (and many that are easily breakable too - ask about assistance shipping fragile or larger items home, they can accommodate), and as I said, since almost all is hand made, it's all unique. Every time I go, I have to pick up something new to remember the trip by. Great find. Even if you don't want to drop any coin, it's definitely worth wandering into and poking around - you never know what treasure they'll have.

The nice thing about a Target is that you know what you're getting into. We stopped here to pick up…read moresome bubbles and sidewalk chalk for our kids to play with at our air bnb in Montrose and spoiler alert: it had what we needed! This won't come as a surprise lol. This Target was clean, had ample self check out spaces, and met our expectations. I'd return if I found myself in Montrose.

Enter our new and improved Super Target... First couple of times I came here and witnessed the changes, I had to pinch myself...although tbh, it was organized chaos but that definitely seems to be slowly winding down. Growing pains I guess, but dang! We're living in the big city now...lol. So much more merchandise, full-on groceries, produce and meat, etc. The inventory in all areas (in addition to newly added sections) has grown considerably with many new items and updated display fixtures throughout the store. Even the in-house Starbucks got a facelift. It's more spacious with lot's of indoor seating alongside new windows. This is just another example of how much Montrose has grown over the past couple of years. All good for our economy and the job market (so long as they hire more employees). On any given day there have only been 2 to 3 max checkers and the lines can get super long! Last time I was there you still couldn't use the self-checkout, but perhaps that's changed. Anyway, I'm just happy to finally have a Super Target in town.
