The nice thing about a Target is that you know what you're getting into. We stopped here to pick up some bubbles and sidewalk chalk for our kids to play with at our air bnb in Montrose and spoiler alert: it had what we needed! This won't come as a surprise lol. This Target was clean, had ample self check out spaces, and met our expectations. I'd return if I found myself in Montrose. read more

I love me some Target, but moving from a big city to a small one - I've just never been that excited...other than the fact I was glad we at least had one. Enter our new and improved Super Target... First couple of times I came here and witnessed the changes, I had to pinch myself...although tbh, it was organized chaos but that definitely seems to be slowly winding down. Growing pains I guess, but dang! We're living in the big city now...lol. So much more merchandise, full-on groceries, produce and meat, etc. The inventory in all areas (in addition to newly added sections) has grown considerably with many new items and updated display fixtures throughout the store. Even the in-house Starbucks got a facelift. It's more spacious with lot's of indoor seating alongside new windows. This is just another example of how much Montrose has grown over the past couple of years. All good for our economy and the job market (so long as they hire more employees). On any given day there have only been 2 to 3 max checkers and the lines can get super long! Last time I was there you still couldn't use the self-checkout, but perhaps that's changed. Anyway, I'm just happy to finally have a Super Target in town. read more

The store, due to the remodel is a mess, can't find anything, one cashier for 10+ people in line. I'm going to Walmart!

This is one of the cleanest targets in one of the prettiest locations in town. It's at the south of the town and connected to the Uncompahgre river. I dont see a lot of stores like that. This shopping center is in an amazing spot, just miss JC Pennys and wish there was more food options!(not that the nearby Culver's is bad) The store manager seems to do amazing, as with this small town I bet staffing could be an issue with a retail job. Otherwise wise the store is usually very clean and only seems bad during peak holiday times. I've been shopping here for 10 years, and the new remodel is incredible. Amazing how they can get that much amount of work done in that time!!! Never had a bad experience at this place other than getting the wrong Starbucks drink occasionally but that's minor as it's always made right. I'm also so glad a seating area is back and available, which is also always very clean. On top of that, the restrooms are always clean and never have a terrible public bathroom stench like most. Whoever is running this store should be proud. Thank you for providing the town with an amazing place to shop and enjoy themselves. read more

Longtime fan, recently turned ex-customer. Appreciated the grocery sales, even though the prices at Target have sky rocketed in the last 4 years. As a disabled customer, never had issues being a mask wearer until recently, when a checkout cashier (J.) made a couple passive aggressive comments about my mask. It's fine if someone doesn't personally agree with my choice to mask for protection during a Covid spike. But the level of disrespect and unprofessionalism to cross that line and treat a customer like that? It's hard enough to be disabled without being mocked or having your disability status questioned publicly. You've lost a location customer and a brand customer, permanently. Do better, even if you don't agree personally with masking. read more

This location is not as nice as most Targets usually look and the Starbucks looked a little dirty, drive to the Looney Bean across the parking lot instead. The store manager needs to dial it up here, Walmart looks better. read more

When a Target feels like a shabby Walmart, you know you're in the wrong place. I love Target.... usually. But this is hands down the filthiest Target I've ever set foot in. What could make it worse? How about only 2 check out stand open, long lines, and a slow cashier who did not greet or speak to me until he handed me my receipt. Oh, and the manager who opened a 3rd lane by grabbing (literally) the last person on line, opening the register, then loudly announcing that she needed to go on lunch. read more

I will NEVER shop Target again and will spread the word of my experience. On 12-26-19 Placed online order for grill #9063706819188. I received email that evening saying it was ready for pick up. On 12-27-19 8:05am I go to Target in the snow and im permamet disabled handicapped! I go into customer service and he says he can't locate it. Then comes back with something else and says you ordered this. I told him no I didn't here is what I ordered and showed him the order. He was rude and didn't care and said alls he can do is cancel order. I asked for a receipt he said id receive an email. I asked for headquarters phone number he gives me 800-440-0680. I call the number Genisis sayscomputers make mistakes and I said NO not when i pur based an item wasted my gas to pick it up and in the snow. I asked for headquarters number, she gave me 612-304-6073. Still on 12-27-19 I call and explain to Angel my issue. He says hes sorry and says he can ship item to me and waive shipping charges. I tell him ok and he ensured me my money would go back in the bank from the purchase I made on line. Then he wants my credit card info again I asked why he said i will be charged original 21.58 and not shipping. I said ok. I never received an email with new order number, so was it placed? After the phone call I went into bank account and target took out $28.05? I was livid. Then i get an email stating I have. A gift card for $21.58? I paid cash for the order so why am I getting a a gift card? I call again and tell Selena my experience and she says if you order thru PayPal they can only refund in gift card? REALLY AND WHERE IS THAT ON LINE TELLING CUSTOMERS? It's not I looked. So she cancelled the a gift card and said I will be reimbursed back to my bank in 2 days. 12-30-19 I received email stating my order was shipped? Still no money back in my account so I call again and speak with Martha. She states She sees new order and sent me email with new order no. And tracking.  I asked why i had been charged 21.58 and 28.05 and she said it will take a few days to be reimbursed for paypal and that shipping will be refunded? At this point Target is the most unprofessional company and the fact that angel ran my credit card when i told him not for more than 21.58 and he did it anyways for 28.05? That's fraud. I dont care if it 10 cents or 100 dollars he went against my approval.  The fact he didn't offer Express mail so that I would receive the item asap but instead he has ground shipping which means 2 week delivery? Really when it said items in stock and item was ready for pick up. Sadly being handicapped is hard for me to get around so the fact that the item wasnt there when email stated it was is poor service. And the way the guy at customer Service treated me at Target is sad. Now told if paid by paypal I have to wait 30 days for my money? Wtf read more

I don't know why this target has such low reviews. It's always been nice to shop here every visit we have to montrose. Employees seem nice. The store looks clean every time I have come. I do feel like it's kind of small but honestly what more do you need it's target. read more

The bathroom looks like it hasn't been cleaning in a good few months, yuck. No one wants to go into a disgusting bathroom with shit, piss, and toilet paper all over the floor, walls, and toilets. The shoes area is a total disaster like a tornado hit it or something. Need better works here, making Target look like shit. read more

Fantastic example of a Target store! I live in So Cal and I've made quite a few visits to Target locations around the L.A. area and California; location is such a nice distraction from the crowded parking lot, rambunctious cries and banter of children and the long lines that seem to be the norm in So Cal. Equally nice were the fully stocked and military neat shelves. Now I realize the size of Montrose really can't be compared to L.A., population is of course quite different, but I could absolutely get used to the serene feeling I get when I walk into the Montrose Target. Maybe I shopped at the right time...or maybe there was an event across town that prevented folks from shopping, but it was in the middle of the day, traffic wasn't exactly light. Great experience, love this Target. I'll visit as often as I can. read more

I love this Target. The employees are always nice and the store is clean every time I visit. Employees are working hard to put away things that are strewn all over the store by customers. Couldn't believe how many towels and curtains they had to straighten and put back one evening when I was there. Store is very busy, but always well stocked. read more
