There are quite a few pieces I have my eye on, but nothing I can afford at present. If you plan on making a purchase here, make sure you have a high limit on your credit card. The lowest price a giclee will run you is around $1500. If you're looking for an original piece, add a few more grand onto the price tag. The employees here are wonderful. They know each piece of art very well and can tell you all about the various artists. Also, unlike many places where high priced items are sold, the employees treat everyone with respect and they will actually give you the time of day!

It was pretty busy but we didn't have to wait long. There are a couple different themes you can choose from and we went with the ganster theme. Once you're all checked in, they bring you back into their changing room and bring you the outfit and accessories (you don't really get a choice on which outfit you're going to wear). Then they bring you over to the themed room and take the pictures. They take thousands of these pictures everyday so the photographer was very quick and knew exactly what he was looking for/what shots to do. The whole process was very quick. Once done, they print out all the pictures for you to look at. 2 photos come with your photo shoot and then you can pay more for the rest of them or for the flash drive to get them all. It's kind of a bummer that they just throw out the pictures if you don't buy them but I understand the upsell. We wound up just choosing 2. Overall it was a cute experience and I'm glad we got to do it.

The gallery offers a peaceful break from the crowds and gives you a chance to experience a different side of Disney. The current exhibit is Kawaii: Culture of Cute Things from Japan, a fun and interesting exhibit! Bright, colorful displays are full of pop culture references, but also explain how kawaii culture became such an important part of Japanese society. I really enjoyed learning more about the history behind something I usually connect with things like Hello Kitty, anime, and character designs. The gallery is air conditioned and a lot of fun to explore, making it a perfect place to slow down for a few minutes during a busy Epcot day. After visiting the gallery, I did spend some time walking through the rest of the pavilion and browsing Mitsukoshi Department Store for Japanese snacks and souvenirs! The whole area is beautifully themed and has a immersive feel. I recommend stopping by Bijutsu-kan Gallery if you're exploring the Japan Pavilion. It's educational and memorable, one of the best exhibits for me at Epcot and is always a must visit!

It's a boutique that is dedicated to exquisite glass and crystal pieces. One of the coolest features about this store is the in store glass blowing demonstrations. Artisans shape molten glass into delicate figurines, vases, or even etched nameplates. You can watch as the artisans creates, bend, twist, and color the glass! It's quite fascinating to watch! The store also offers custom engraving on many of its pieces! Crystal Arts offers several hands on experiences as well. There is a Hidden Mickey Tiaras & Scepters activity. You can design your own tiara or scepter by choosing from different metal bases like gold or silver. You can then choose a variety of gemstone accents or even birthstones! There is also a newer experience called the custom enchanted pumpkin carriage. You can select the colors and a glassblower creates your own tiny glass pumpkin carriage while you watch! Inside the store, you'll find beautifully crafted glassware from the Cinderella castle themed to Mickey and Minnie designs. There are some exclusive collections like the special Disney Vacation Club member glassware and Disney's Annual Passholder as well. This is a unique and fun experience. It's also a great way to take a break from the theme park rides!

They have mostly crystal pieces, however they do offer some ceramic and porcelain pieces from various designers as well. If you catch the artisans while they are working it's a whole other kind of show. There is a section for glass workers to sit and design pieces by hand and watching them work is always enjoyable. It really helps one to appreciate the talent and effort going into each piece. They etch a glass with names, dates, etc as well. We've gotten similar ones in other locations throughout the parks and they make great keepsakes. Overall: A Great place to stop and check out all the unique pieces and talented artists.

From the outside, the gallery building was impressive! it was a beautiful replica of an old, about 1200 A.D., traditional Norwegian stave church. The details on the exterior of the building were beautiful. The wood carvings and architectural detail are very interesting when viewed up close. I have passed by this gallery building many times and didn't realize that you can actually enter the gallery. This may be another "hidden gem" for guests at Epcot! There is a relatively short exhibit to walk through that mainly focuses on Norse Mythology specifically the Vikings. The exhibit mainly revolves around some of the main Viking Gods like Thor, Loki & Freyja. Since the exhibit is somewhat small, this exhibit can be walked through fairly quickly. However, the exhibit has been well built out. A large piece of the exhibit is centered around an array of carved figures, as well as several artifacts and exhibits explaining various aspects of Norse Mythology. This exhibit is certainly more educational then entertaining, however, I feel like it was a nice little "mini-museum" type experience within the larger park. One of the things I liked about it is that it's an opportunity to take a break from the crowds! It was cool inside, air conditioned, and gave me time to relax for a little while. Many guests make their way right over to Frozen Ever After next door, as a result, this area can get overlooked! I'm glad I took the time to check it out. It's a cool, low key experience that adds a little depth to the Norway Pavilion!

DON'T MISS THE CULTURAL STORY OF THE BUILDING…read more The Stave Church Gallery is housed in a very impressive looking building in the EPCOT Norway Pavilion. We were disappointed by what we saw inside the building - a single small room with a few artifacts (real or replicas?) with attached stories (ancient Viking myths or Disney movie plots?). Somehow Disney lost us here but during our short visit, we completely missed the story of the cultural significance of the Stave Church. We later learned that the word stave refers to an architectural style using vertical wood posts known as staves. Stave churches were medieval wood churches that date back to Norway 1100s and the EPCOT Stave Church Gallery is a replica of the Gol Stave Church that was built in the 1200s.
