I cannot say enough good things about Bold Health. From the very first phone call, the admin team…read more(shoutout to Aja!) was warm, organized, and genuinely kind. Scheduling was easy, communication was clear, and every interaction made me feel welcomed and supported. It's rare to find front office staff who are both efficient and compassionate, but they truly set the tone here. Dr. Hirst is exceptional. Thoughtful, attentive, and incredibly knowledgeable, she creates a space where you feel heard without judgment. Appointments never feel rushed, and I always leave feeling understood and equipped with real tools and direction. You can tell they genuinely care about their patients' well-being and long-term progress. If you're looking for a mental health clinic that combines professionalism with real human warmth, this is it. So grateful to have found Bold Health.

I've been going here for a couple years now, and I've wanted to write a review, but have been…read morereticent for several reasons. The main being that I wanted to leave a decently high rating, but have been unable to due to the unexplained disruption in my care by the high rate of provider turnover, and thus couldn't. More specifically, my experience here has been that I went through several individual therapists, and while I made progress with each, none were really exceptional. Combine that with the what felt like constant provider changes, the overall experience was very lacking, and I didn't feel particularly important due to this. This was especially true in my couples therapy sessions, where I never really felt listened to. Despite my better judgment, I continued to go to these sessions, but I felt like nothing ever changed for me. I recommend that if you find yourself with a therapist you don't "click" with, you should "shop around". Which is what I'm doing now. I do also have experience in their IOP program. I'm afraid to say that I can't really recommend their IOP, and if you do check it out, I highly suggest "shopping around" the same way you would for an individual therapist. Also, quite unfortunately, I didn't feel very accepted there, but instead felt very judged at times, which when happened, it was very difficult to fully share and be vulnerable. Which may be related to one of their main catch phrases, where you're supposed to "get curious" about why you feel a certain way, felt like it was used very little with me. While there are a lot of negatives, it can be very difficult to find providers that take your insurance. Which they did take mine, so that was nice.

And when he got back from it he just continued doing his same old shit this place is just like any other money grabbing corporation and don't really care about the kids. Who btw have absolutely NO privacy there is even someone that checks in on them when they SLEEP like every 10 minutes or something and they can't leave the line of sight of the counselors who are actually the ONLY positive thing about our experience and I was told that there are like only 3 good counselors. I think ones name was John, anothers name was I believe amber , and the last good ones I know were destiny and drew. Also they need to FIRE a staff named Ariel or something she made fun of an autistic kid and frequently yelled for communication and showed someone getting jumped on her work laptop to my kid and get this they can't even have blankets the only time they get them is at bed and that's it my kid is super clingy and gets homesick so easily to the point where the first day he was puking his guts out and WASNT allowed to call me for support instead was told to "use a skill" about a thousand times it seems like that is the only thing they recommend. My son's GPA was affected negatively as well as they only give like an hour a day for school work, are you kidding my son has 6 classes including a language and an AP class which he ended up failing because he could only work on it for an HOUR a day. My son went there for nonviolent depression and had to be mixed in with people who were doing Fentanyl, trying to kill themselves, had violent tendencies and someone who thought they were a fucking animal. Continuing on one of the sessions he told me about was they had watched a TED talk on HOW TO WRITE AN EMAIL?!?! Another one was how to pick out healthy groceries. Like what? These are kids who are struggling with life. They also have basically 0 access to the outside world as well. One time he got so scared because he felt so alone and he almost had a panic attack and tried to call my wife and was punished and told to "Use a skill" I met with I think her name was Tamara she was a fat ugly dumb bitch and didn't answer any of my questions. They also said that the average stay time is 30-45 days and my child stayed for over 60 and I'm sure they did it just to make more money my child also informed me that there was a kid there that was there for like 80 days and also said that most kids stayed around 55-60 days. That concludes my rant about this absolutely HORRENDOUS organization. DO NOT SEND YOUR KID HERE

I have to say that it was the development of the tools and all the classes and group settings. Within the last few months, I feel like I've seen a different side of her and her office. And it's not positive. I'm a self-pay patient and have been since the beginning of my time with Doctor Olafson. I've stated it in every visit I've had with her. Recently, she keeps telling me that my prescription isn't "covered" and neglected to do her research when ordering blood tests, making sure I could afford them. Although I made a following appointment with her last year for this current year, her office asked me whether or not I had made an annual appointment for a follow up and I had to tell them, that yes, I did. So, somewhere, someone isn't doing their job and I am falling through the cracks. I no longer feel heard or that I matter to Doctor Olafson and her staff. I will be looking elsewhere for care.
