I've been to the best dentist in DFW and Enclave is the best at what they do out of all of them. Dr. Thomas is passionate and cares completely about the results she can produce with sleep and aesthetics. Before I came in I could not even take naps because my sleep apnea was so bad. Now I can sleep through the entire night. Ask about their laser treatment for the throat. It was a miracle worker for sleeping and breathing. Plus I widened my mouth and because of that my teeth were completely spaced and in a couple hours she made them look better than ever with composites. Cannot recommended Dr. Thomas and her staff more highly. read more

Dr. Thomas is amazing. My son had a 100% lip and tongue tie. She explained everything so well and provided us with great support. His release ended up taking a couple of sessions, but she sang to him and loved on him every session. She had a laser that isn't super common in the area where it can release or help release oral ties in infants without having to do stretches and such. That was so helpful in fully releasing my son's tongue tie. Because of how much that tie would have continued to affect him throughout his life, we are so thankful. This can be a traumatizing experience, but it is most certainly not at Enclave. We love the staff and our son does too! I would choose Dr. Thomas a million times over. read more

She was extremely efficient and accurate and made sure we understood how important it was to do his mouth stretches afterward. I took my sixth babe in for a tongue and lip tie revision here when he was three days old. I've taken every child to a different pediatric dentist for the procedure, which gives me a good basis for comparison. Dr. Thomas is very kind and gentle. She is thorough in her diagnosis and explanations, which probably goes a long way with a new mother having the procedure done for the first time. They do not file an insurance claim for you, as the previous dentists I've gone to have done, but they do provide all the paperwork necessary to file the claim yourself. It took me almost 3 months of consistent follow up with United Health Care Dental, but I did finally get the claim approved and was reimbursed for $559 of the $677 Enclave charges for the procedure. I didn't have trouble getting in for the first appointment, but unfortunately the procedure needed to be redone and the office was not very accommodating in getting me in quick for a second revision. In the interim, I had mastitis twice and the baby continued to struggle with nursing. I called repeatedly asking if they could fit me in because I was so desperate for relief, but they said all I could do was put me on a cancelation waiting list. I finally gave up and made an appointment with another dentist in Richardson (Loveable Smiles). Richardson is not close to us, but it was so worth the drive! They understood the urgency of my situation (HELLO BLOODY NIPPLES) and got me in the same day I called. They confirmed that the revision needed to be redone and after their procedure, nursing improved, my nipples healed, and I'm a happy camper. In retrospect, I wish I would have found Loveable Smiles first, because they did a great job for half the cost. Their fee is $375 for both tongue and lip tie, as opposed to Enclave Dental's $677. In any case, if you are considering having your baby's tongue or lip tie lasered, I cannot encourage you enough. Bloody, damaged nipples are NOT NORMAL and tongue and/or lip ties are very common causes. It's worth even more than $677 to get it fixed. Do it! read more

I would recommend going to a different doctor for infant frenectomy. Go with a doctor that will assess and refer you out to OT and bodywork before continuing with a frenectomy. I did not feel cared for in my situation and my child is now needing a SECOND release. The first was traumatic for both of us and I am absolutely heartbroken that the release was not complete and that there was nothing more than a simple check on the wound site two weeks later. Compared to the stretches I have been advised to do since, the stretches Dr. Thomas had us doing were way aggressive. I would leave more in depth issues that I have with the procedure, but want to protect the privacy of my child. I felt obligated to leave this review so another parent doesn't go through this. I know of another parent that had the same issues as I did, but they never left a review. It could have saved me and likely others! read more

Dr. Preetha Thomas did a fabulous job on our son's tongue and upper lip frenectomies (cold laser for ties). She is very kind and even sang our son's favorite song with me while performing the ~5 minute procedure. Very nice office with fresh organic tea in the foyer. Seraphina (spelling?), Dr. Thomas' assistant, was very welcome and patient. They gave us a discount by performing the procedure immediately after the consultation. They gave us detailed instructions and practice on how to perform the subsequent tongue and lip exercises. Highly recommend. I saw Dr. Thomas today with my 8-day old daughter for evaluation of a lip & tongue tie after two of my friends recommended her. Her staff was informative, compassionate & offered the best customer service I've ever received. My daughter had a 100% lip tie and her tongue tie was one of the worst Dr. Thomas has ever seen. They were both corrected immediately after the evaluation, so that we didn't have to come back. They have a special room for you to nurse the baby in after the procedure that was peaceful and accommodating. They have incredible after care instructions & even videoed how to do the stretches for me with my cell phone so I can watch it again at home. Dr. Thomas even gives you her cell phone number if you have any questions or concerns. I am so grateful for the care and compassion that was shown not only to my daughter but to me while I was there. It is stressful to watch your new baby have to endure a procedure so early in her life, but knowing she was in excellent hands made it so much easier. Totally worth driving from Prosper!!! Dr. Thomas and her team performed a revision on our newborn and my wife and our experience from start to finish was amazing and exceptional! Everyone that works in her office went above and beyond to care for us and our little one. They knew that we were nervous and scared and they took as much time as WE needed to become comfortable and understand how the procedure was going to go. We must have asked the same questions over and over and they were so patient, kind, professional, courteous, and thoughtful. Dr. Thomas is one of the most compassionate medical professionals I have ever met! After seeing a lactation consultant with my 4 week daughter, the LC gave us a list of recommended dentist to see about her lip and tongue tie. My husband & I went to Dr Thomas and, first off, I loved that she assessed my daughter's lip and tongue tie herself, and didn't just take her based off the LC's recommendation. Dr Thomas was very clear that she would not do anything unnecessary. Dr Thomas & her nurse were so informative of the procedure and what to expect during and the after care. The after care can be so scary, especially after you go through the procedure, you don't want anything to heal incorrectly & cause for another procedure. We survived the procedure and the 3+ weeks of stretches. I know Dr Thomas sees many parents each week, but it made us feel good that when we came for our last visit & she made the comment about the looks on our faces while sitting in the lobby. I guess when we came in, we looked upset and she always felt bad? HAHA! Impressed that she remembered us each visit, but we were never upset with Dr Thomas. :) Honestly, we were always nervous to hear whether we were doing our at-home stretches correctly. Long story long, we highly recommend Dr Thomas & her staff! ;) PS. If your baby has a tongue and/or lip tie release, stay on top of the Tylenol, or whatever pain management you choose, for your little one. I hate going to the dentist. Something about paying someone to shove power tools in your mouth always seemed like a bad deal to me. But as a parent, I'm kind of obligated to send my kids to the dentist so my wife has taken our kids to Dr. Thomas for some time. She has always raved about Enclave, but I always thought it was a bit of hyperbole until I ended up having to go myself. Unfortunately, it turns out that no amount of brushing and flossing will repair a cracked molar so it was off to the dentist I went for what turned out to be a crown. I was extremely anxious and not at all looking forward to the experience of getting my tooth fixed, but Dr. Thomas and her staff was phenomenal. Patient and kind, they put me at ease immediately. Then, once in the chair, the ability to listen to my own music combined with the sunglasses and nitrous mask made me feel almost as if I wasn't there. It was really amazing. She nailed both the procedure and the anesthetic so I didn't feel the slightest bit of pain or grogginess afterward. We were referred to Dr. Thomas by our lactation consultant for a lip/tongue tie revision for our 5 week old daughter. I can't speak highly enough about Dr. Thomas and her staff with the way we were treated and taken care of with the utmost empathy and patience. Every staff member we talked to was empathetic and sensitive to our fears and worries as new parents bringing in our newborn baby. The procedure and after care was thoroughly explained to us and we felt like the staff treated our baby as if she was their own. My friend recommended Dr. Thomas for us to take my daughter for a second opinion. My daughter needs fillings and caps on her baby teeth and we just wanted to confirm that there weren't any other options/alternatives. General anesthesia for dental work is a very serious decision to make and we want to ensure we're doing what's right for our baby girl. Dr. Thomas fit us in her hectic schedule since we came in the day before her appointment. (Oops!!) We also had our 22 month old in tow. It was crazy! Lol! The office staff was WONDERFULLY accommodating and the wait was hardly no time at all. Dr. Thomas was wonderful with our daughter, explained her perspective and at the end of the consultation gave both of our girls adorable prizes and they also had tv's with internet capabilities to watch their favorite shows-on the wall and ceiling!!! We went to Enclave Dental just to meet the dentist and were charged $80 for a 3 minutes talk. I clearly stated upfront that we don't want to become patients, yet, before I get a chance to talk to the doctor, and ask some general questions. I told them I don't want an exam, or x-rays, before I can ask a few questions about the way they normally would treat cavities in a child. They still asked me to fill in all the information, and provide my insurance details. At the end they told me they are going to charge my insurance for an office visit. But we did not get any treatment! I was humiliated, and put under a lot of stress, just to get to meet this dentist. She clearly doesn't care about people, more then she cares about money. read more

I was referred to Dr. Preetha Thomas by a few mom's on 2 Facebook groups that I am in for my 5 1/2 month old daughter's lip and tongue ties. I took my daughter to a Pediatric Surgeon prior and he barely spent a minute looking in my daughter's mouth and automatically wanted to have her scheduled to outpatient surgery for both lip and tongue ties using a gas mask. I didn't feel comfortable AT ALL. So I made sure to find a doctor who specializes and knows how the anatomy and physiology of tongue and lip ties will affect t breastfeeding and overall health of my baby. From the first phone call I made to Enclave Dental to arriving at our accommodated scheduled appointment ... the staff and Dr Thomas made me feel very very welcomed and relieved. The office is so clean and tranquil. They also have a baby room with a rocking chair to nurse your little one as well as a changing pad to have their diapers changed in. Dr Thomas didn't rush us with any decisions and was very informative, empathetic and kind as well as the other two assistants! I love this office and I am so glad we found them! read more

When our son was born with a tongue/lip tie we didn't know what to do. Luckily, our midwives referred us to Dr. Thomas. On our first appointment she explained the procedure thoroughly and was very understanding of my apprehension. He was only 5 days old when she did the first procedure. She did the best that she could with him being so small, but she was able to release it about 20%. She saw him again a couple of months later and was able to fully release his tongue. Although any parent would be terrified about putting their baby through that, Dr. Thomas and her staff make you feel completely comfortable and at ease. Not only was I able to stay present through the entire process, but I was able to nurse him immediately afterward. In fact she encourages it, to ensure that baby has stopped bleeding and is able to latch correctly before heading home. When our infant daughter was diagnosed with a severe lip and tongue tie, we were devastated and also very nervous to have the laser procedure done in such a tiny mouth. We wanted to avoid any intervention but looking back, it was by far the best decision we made because our daughter was able to successfully breastfeed afterward. This was a huge relief after the first month of her life was so stressful and difficult. We were so blessed that Dr. Thomas educated us as not only a professional but also as a parent. Her own journey that eventually brought her to perform her first release ever on her very own son was quite touching to us. She totally understood our apprehension and was extremely tender throughout the whole process. She sang soothing songs to our baby while my husband held her tightly. What we experienced was a complete culture of care in her office. We were treated like friends instead of mere patients or a chart, and not just by one or two staff members. Everybody had a servant's heart and we felt so loved. Also, in addition to her warm personality, Dr. Thomas is definitely a skilled dentist. We were very reassured by her qualifications and by how she performed the release on our daughter. Nobody *likes* to see their baby's mouth lasered, but on the other side of the coin, living with the consequences of the lip and tongue ties would have been worse I am sure. So, given that, we would be grateful and honored to utilize Enclave's services again in the future. Dr. Thomas is very clear that the procedure must be followed by specific stretches and therapies such as chiropractic and craniosacral. This was extremely beneficial for us as we were ignorant to these requirements with our first child and are still picking up the pieces from the lack of post-op therapy. Thanks to Dr. Thomas' proactive stance, we were able to learn more about why the soft tissue system carries such tension and how it is pervasive beyond just the mouth. Working with other therapists, per Dr. T's recommendation, has allowed our baby to not only grow but thrive. As much as I dislike the epidemic of mouth ties and will do everything in my power to combat it in future kiddos, I thank God for doctors like Dr. Thomas who understand it to the best of their ability and work to help families get past the hurdles.
