Staff are nice and the experience is quick and efficient. They are gentle with the kiddos and make them feel special each time.

Dr. Hoffman is the sweetest man. While discussing my son's treatment I asked if he could please try to work on my son without the tooth/mouth pillow. I explained he had a very bad experience at another office in Keller, he felt he was chocking on it and he freaked out. We are new to Texas and this was never used in California, it was unfamiliar and it frighted him. The dentist didn't want to continue the treatment unless my son was completed sedated (asleep) and I was not ok with this. Dr. Hoffman promised he would try his best to not use it as long as my son was cooperative by keeping his mouth open. Comes the day of the treatment: My son chose his own movie to watch and while getting ready for his treatment Hannah (Dental assistant) was explaining step by step and tool by tool of what it would be used for to him. Once he was aware, he felt more relaxed. Dr. Hoffman did try to work on him without the tooth/mouth pillow but he kept closing his mouth and at this point they had to use it and my son was just fine throughout the whole treatment. Totally different experience from the previous office. I was so happy and relieved I almost cried. Dr. Hoffman and Hannah were both gentle and comforting. Dr. Hoffman does not accept foster kid insurance so don't waste your time. Unfortunately, these kids go through so much trauma and need a pediatric dentist. There is so much fear in going to a dentist, even, as an adult. I would have thought that Dr. Hoffman would be sensitive to foster children who are in need of a pediatric dentist. Dr. Hoffman's staff reflect on him and they are rude, easily angered & have the, " I don't know and don't care" attitude. read more

This is by far the best pediatric dentist in the area! My daughter started going to Dr. Hoffman as soon as she was old enough to have her teeth cleaned and dental check-ups. The staff is courteous and friendly when you call to make an appointment and are just as kind to the children and adults when you are in the office. They never rush the kids and allow them plenty of explanation before starting any cleanings/procedures. The office is large and decorated in a movie theater theme. The office has neat movie décor and framed movie posters. When you go in for your cleaning/procedure, the staff will take your child to the movie wall and let them pick out a movie to watch while they are sitting in the dental chair. They start the movie and give them headphones so they can focus on something to help ease their discomfort. We have never had to wait more than 3-5 minutes from the time we arrived until we were taken back. The hygienist will clean their teeth and then Dr. Hoffman comes in and checks everything out. He is super-friendly and non-intimidating to the children. She enjoys seeing him and is always thrilled when he gives her a high-five for being cavity free again! When we are done they let them pick a prize from the prize bins and check-out is a breeze. They even wanted to do preventative sealants the last time we were in and by time I got to the check-out and asked about insurance coverage she said she pre-verified and it was all covered. Nice for them to check instead of saying it was up to me to determine coverage. Good customer service for the adults and EXCELLENT care for the kiddos! We will continue our care with Dr. Hoffman and his staff for our daughters and recommend if you are looking for a good pediatric dentist that you strongly consider this office. read more

The hygienists are so caring and kind. Dr. Hoffman is amazing and so patient. And Olive is the sweetest thing. Yet another 1 star rating for this provider. We recently moved to the area and were looking for a pediatric dentist for our 5 kiddos. We booked with Dr. Hoffman, several months in advance, and went in today for the first of the appointments. After being called back I was asked for my SSN for their "double verification system"; I declined to provide it (though my offer for them to take copies of both my insurance card and DL were declined by the front desk staff) after explaining that our insurance did not require it for verification purposes (indeed, our insurance had already been verified per the receptionist). The receptionist told Dr. Hoffman, who was standing immediately outside the operatory, and he began upbraiding the receptionist for even allowing me back. He came in and said he would not treat my child without my SSN; I asked why he needed it and he reiterated that my insurance required it (which I knew not to be true - not only because I've independently verified this, but because I'm also a health care attorney). I told him I wasn't providing it since I knew it wasn't necessary (no other provider has ever demanded it) and he insisted it was a necessity. He then said he would "allow" me to be a cash-paying client and bill my insurance as a courtesy, but that, if I wanted to pay by check, I would, again, need to provide my SSN. Needless to say, we immediately left, called our insurance, and verified, AGAIN, that an SSN is not necessary. The rep I spoke with informed me that the dentist most likely used a database that sorted patients by SSN, and this is why he insisted upon my providing it. read more

Horrible dentist. Will never go back. Not only was the rude and very short with me (the cash paying patient) he quoted us WAY to much! He told me my daughter needed 6 crowns, went for a second opinion and turned out she only needed 1. The others were small enough to be filled. You wonder why is office and decor is so nice, I guess it's because he rips his clients off by charging them for things they don't need. read more

We were very fortunate to discover and become patients of Dr. Hoffman. He is kind, compassionate, not judging and lives movies! His office is decorated like a movie theatre. Yes, there are 2 video game screens but children do not wait very long to enter. The space is open and colorful. The staff is welcoming. He usually makes sure of that. Let him know if they are not. Parents are welcomed (at least when we were there) to be by their child's side. No fuddy duddy stuff here. It's going on 2 years and we never received a refund and our daughter still has no front teeth. Because of Dr. Hoffman my daughter has almost lived the majority of her life without front teeth. And she had front teeth when we went to him. :( read more

This should've been posted long ago when they tried to rip us off but I haven't had the time. We've since taken our kids back to our dentist who I'd highly recommend over this office any day. The front office staff is the most unprofessional bunch of women I've ever met. They absolutely will talk about you while your sitting right there like the other poster said. Like a bunch of High School mean girls. Took my 3 kids in for a cleaning, they called all 3 of my kids back, did the cleaning and then when we went to check out they tried to collect $75 PER child for the fluoride treatment they did WITHOUT ASKING OR TELLING ME IS WAS NOT A COVERED BENEFIT. Now they are trying to lie and say I verbally agreed to it. Looks like they have a history of this based on other reviews. Sad Dr Hoffman may be a decent dentist but he lets the unprofessional women in the front run his business and for that, we left and will never recommend. We spoke to our current dentist who laughed and said fluoride is cheap and $75 per child is INSANE! read more

Dr Hoffmann is great. It is very apparent that he puts his patients well being before his own wants and needs. Ie he had us reschedule an appointment, in the middle of it, because he wanted the process to be a pleasant experience for my child. He didnt want my child to view the dentist as negative. He coud have still charged for the procedure that was started or pushed through since we were on the schedule. Thats what every dentist should do, but that hasnt always been my experience. He just appears to be a generally genuine and caring soul. read more

Long wait times, very rude office staff, and overpriced exams/services. Don't waste your time!

Although the dentist and hygienists are nice, the front desk is horrible! They are rude, will talk about you with you sitting right there, do not get your payment correct, and are very disrespectful. My daughter had a major procedure done and the hygienist chased us to the car to give us a prescription for her procedure. The front desk had said we were done. This last visit, after I watched them whisper about "someones" balance (which turned out to be mine); they said we owed an additional $39. This is after we paid $462 for the procedure. When I asked for a printout of what these charges were for, the front desk person just smiled. I had to ask 3 times, before she asked someone else what the charges were for. Then she said I had to pay them then. I said we will pay them another day, I did not have my purse with me, since we were only getting stitches out. She continued to insist I must pay today. Needless to say I did not pay, but will. We will find another dentist that is both great and has a nice front desk staff. Too much money to pay for rudeness. read more

I have never posted a review before, but today I've been driven to take the time to write one for this dental office. First, let me say that I have been a loyal customer of this dentist for over 10 years. Today I was shocked and blown away by the rudeness and audacity of their front office. My 3 kids arrived 8 minutes late for their appointment and we were turned away. At first they were only going to see 1 of them. Then they reluctantly saw 2. The third one we were told would just have to be worked in. REALLY? For being just a few minutes late? So after waiting 40 minutes, they finally came for the 3rd child. I told them "no thanks". Wow - Is this how people do business? I can't believe they are able to stay in business with so many other awesome places out there to go. It's sad to be treated so poorly after being so loyal all those years.
