If you don't hire Troy you are making a big mistake. He is hard-working and dependable and offers…read morereasonable rates! More than pleased and would give 10 stars if I could. Did an outstanding job.

I hired TGW Services to complete drywall patching, painting, and install a railing before my home…read morewas scheduled to be listed. From our very first conversation, I made it clear that I had a firm deadline because listing photos were scheduled for July 6. Troy assured me that wouldn't be a problem. The job was originally scheduled to begin on June 29. On June 28, Troy contacted me to say he was running behind on another project and asked if he could move my job to Tuesday or Wednesday, mentioning that Wednesday would work best. I had absolutely no issue being flexible. I understand jobs run over and schedules change. Wednesday came, and I hadn't heard anything. I reached out that morning simply trying to plan my day and asked if he had an ETA. Only after I contacted him did I learn that he wouldn't be coming that day either and that Thursday, July 2, would be the day. Thursday morning, we communicated again. Troy told me he was trying to get his helper lined up "as we speak." I explained how to access my home, let him know where everything was, and even left a fan out so they would be comfortable while working if the house got hot. He told me he would keep me updated as the day went on. That update never came. After assuring me he would be there "100%," I never received a phone call, text message, or any communication telling me he wasn't coming. Hours passed with complete silence. When I finally reached back out asking him to simply be honest about whether he could complete the job, I received no response. Later that day, while still waiting to hear from him, I saw Troy and TGW Services actively commenting on Facebook posts about other work. At that point, I still hadn't received a single text or phone call regarding my project. The scheduling delays were never my issue. The complete lack of communication was. Only after I shared my experience publicly did Troy respond around 4:00 a.m. the following morning, stating that he had a family emergency. If that truly happened, I sincerely hope everything is okay. However, a 10-second text saying there was an emergency and he wouldn't be coming would have prevented this entire situation. At that point, Troy agreed multiple times in writing that he would refund the $300 I had already paid upfront for materials through Zelle that same day. The refund never arrived. Later that evening, after waiting several hours to give him the opportunity to follow through, my husband reached out to ask about the refund. His response to us was simply to "fuck off." Since then, Troy has changed his explanation and says he still intends to refund the $300, but now we have to wait several more days while he receives a refund for the railing he says he purchased. As of writing this review, I have still not received my refund. I also requested receipts showing what my $300 was used to purchase, including a receipt for the railing and documentation showing any refund once it is processed. I asked that these be emailed to me using the same email address where he previously sent my invoice. Those receipts have not been provided. The invoice also states he'd update the actual price of the railing which he's also failed to do. Because this work was never completed, my listing photos had to be postponed, and my home can no longer be listed on the date that was originally planned. This review isn't because a contractor got behind. I understood that and accommodated multiple schedule changes without complaint. This review is about poor communication, repeated broken commitments, accepting money upfront without completing the work, and failing to follow through on promises that were made afterward.
