They also have some unique items in their "used" items. if you want some dirt cheap cheesey coffee mugs or those clear frosted salad places, this is the place to find them. It appears these are bought from restaurants that are closing and resold at a fraction of the original price. I've been there several times over the past 5 years, and everytime, they seem to recognize me - not necessarily by name, but they know i shop there. These kinds of family owned businesses serve as the model for other businesses in how they treat customers, even the once-in-a-while customer like me.

Smallwares and small equipment is what most of their inventory is and they really have a nice well rounded selection. The owner is good guy and his son works there too. both a nice and know what they talking about, without spouting off at the mouth and wasting my time. Not the largest selection of large equipment but they would order you whatever you needed. I didn't need any heavy equipment, but If I did I would go to see Mike at Atlantis. I appreciated Chef Jess' enthusiasm, kindness, patience and sense of humor--especially so early in the morning. Macarons can be intimidating but she set up our expectations at the beginning of the class and taught us helpful techniques. The macarons turned out decent looking but tasted delicious! The class is a fun opportunity to learn, bond with friends and meet new people (especially if you're teamed up with them - you're put into in groups of 4). You get a 10% in-store discount if you shop the day of your class. I appreciated that Chef Jess gave us a brief store tour; I ended up buying a couple of her recommendations. Can't wait for my next class! All the Sur La Table staff are friendly and knowledgeable. The store is well organized and the available samples are always a fun perk.

I am writing this review on behalf of my parents, who are not the type to leave negative reviews or…read morepublicly criticize a business. However, after years of ongoing issues, I feel their experience should be shared. This company completed our kitchen, fireplace built ins, laundry room cabinets, and one of our hall bathrooms. Unfortunately, every project has had some type of quality or workmanship issue. Especially when compared to another bathroom we later had remodeled by a different company, the difference in quality, attention to detail, and overall workmanship was very apparent. The most concerning incident occurred last night when both laundry room wall cabinets failed after the backs separated from the cabinet boxes, causing them to completely fall of the wall. Thankfully no one was hurt, as this happened while we were asleep, but it was very alarming to see cabinetry fail in this manner. While we understand the occasional problems can happen with any project, the fact many issues have occurred across multiple areas of the home over time has left us very disappointed with the overall quality of work and material provided. I take no pleasure in posting a negative review, but after repeated problems and significant frustration, I feel it is important for potential customer to be aware of our experience.
