If I could rate a zero star, I would. When we moved in almost three years ago, it was good, until Fogelman Management took over. I have sent emails to them for over a year regarding dog waste everywhere even on balconies, dirty walls and hallways, frequent elevator breakdowns, and marijuana smells all the time. When I complained about the marijuana smoking in apartments, even though not allowed, I was told to call the police. I have extreme asthma, so it has gotten progressively worse since moving here. I've asked numerous times to be let out of my lease with no response. I'd love a lawyer or tv station to respond so we can get the help we need. read more

Please be aware if you have a lot stuff and you rent garages check on your things daily. We moved out and we are just realizing a lot of our belongings are missing . So be mindful a resident told me there motor cycle was stole out of the garage. So don't set a code just use the garage opener. Thousands of dollars of our belongings is gone. read more

Absolutely terrible managemen!!! The apartment building reeks of cigarette smoke with children living in the building. The elevator is frequently broken. Over 10 cars broken into in one week with no help from management. read more

The current management, Fogelman, does not like it when you bring up the previous property management because their current underperformance is highlighted by the previous management's phenomenal care, empathy, and work ethic. I say this because old reviews will praise this location for the management it had, not the current one. Bear in mind when reading other reviews that the current management is not what they are praising. They are praising Encore's past management, not the one Encore has now. Anyways, the current management has shown itself to be underperforming. Our community manager has displayed a lack of basic competency and understanding for many things, but in my case, a lack of understanding how billing works, how water bills work, and terms on the lease agreement. She has also shown herself to be rather lax when performing basic tasks such as in another of my cases, namely, failure to reimburse after referring a current renter. A total of 6 visits, face to face, was necessary before the reimbursement took effect. Unlike previous management, they use passive ways to ensure they interact with us as little as possible. Closing the doors when they are designed to be opened citing AC management as the reason to passively ward off visitors is one example. Installing an ugly vending machine outside the office to drive foot traffic away from the office kitchen where free refreshments were available to everyone. Any complaints you have, they will ask you to write an email despite reporting something face-to-face as if they are allergic to interacting socially. Anytime you speak with them, the obvious empathy shown by the previous management is alarmingly missing. They speak in a very patronizing, condescending way. Not obviously inappropriate but laced with dismissal. I would cut them slack, but it is hard to empathize when they have such a minimal demand job. They have also shown a history of not taking residents seriously when faced with constructive criticism and instead call it bullying or similar. For that reason, it is unexpected that the attendants and middle management will improve. This is not a personal opinion; it is community-wide. There are 2 noises we hear constantly here. One, the droning of the nearby highway and two, the barking dogs. Speaking of dogs, this complex is WAAAY too dog friendly. Everyone and their mother have a dog here. There are so many dogs that cause so much noise, leave poop everywhere, pee on the lawn and kill the plants, and sometimes attack you. No one here takes good care of their dogs and will typically leave them here to essentially rot while they work. Some leave them on the balconies to howl all hours of the day and evening, making it impossible to go outside to enjoy your balcony. There is probably not one trained dog on the property. Big, violent breeds like pitbulls and others bearing similar genes lunge at me if I go for a walk. Not all but a notable number of owners refuse to use a leash on their dog letting it run up to people and sniff them inappropriately or worse. Most owners here are guilty of dog neglect and the complex all but dully ignores it. I have had residents close to me who have clearly neglected their dogs for multiple days on occasion leaving them howling for multiple days with the resident nowhere to be found. Most people here have no business owning a dog, but they do it anyway. The ones that do always choose the most anxiety-ridden, needlessly violent dog. To quote my worst occasion, I have had a neighbor's pit mix knock me down and proceed to hump on me. I did not report this as the management has made it very clear they have a bias for dogs and dog owners. On another note, reptiles, fish, etc. are not permitted here which seems unfair given how much more invasive dogs are. The new maintenance team that was updated with the arrival of Fogelman have treated me in a very demeaning way before, almost like a police officer would. It has not been every meeting with them, but it is not just one where they act like they have a warrant for your arrest when it is just a simple routine inspection of the unit. Also, you can probably gather what I am going to say, the previous maintenance team was chef's kiss. The new one is... not good. This is by no means reflective of the entire new team of course. The AC, laundry machine, laundry dryer, and dish washer are of the lowest quality and have parts that frequently break due to cheap design. For instance, some of the dryers' electrical components get wet during cycles due to poor design. I've seen better at $500/month apartments. The units themselves are very enticing at first with a modern look, but that beige, grey, sterile look wears at you and can make you feel depressed. There is not a lot of decoration you can do here. If I could give Encore 6 stars I would. From the leasing agents, to Hanna Hill (Community Manager), the never ending amenities, top notch maintenance, monthly community events, modern appliances; I mean I could go on and on... so if you're looking for luxury apartment living while feeling a part of a fun community, take a tour now! Any issues I've had maintenance wise were fixed day of, questions about transferring to a larger unit were answered quickly, and the process to get approved went smoothly thanks to Hanna. By far has turned into one of the worst apartment's I've ever lived. Please reconsider before you sign any leases. For starters as I type this at 6am Sunday, on my off day my neighbor is very heavy footed and honestly just loud altogether slamming things, rolling carts, and has huge dogs it seems as they live on the top floor. I've complained over and over and over again and they've emailed, called but essentially done nothing but at some point suggested that I the resident try to go upstairs to sort this noise out or call the offsite number to send the police over but they won't take the damn responsibility to stop this madness. It has gone on for months. Secondly the new staff changeover was not the best at all. They are rude, one particular day they decided it was a good idea to remove the address out the mail room. I was looking for a packages and I called them wondering if they had seen it since it was common for Amazon to leave it outside and the front desk rep says "we don't look for packages" instead of simply trying to aid me if it was brought inside or not. Then didn't fully hang up and said" yea people need to take their issues up with Amazon it is not our job to look for packages". Extremely unprofessional and I immediately went into office to let them know. 3rd, they just suck at events at this point and it's very forced behavior. Our older crew threw plenty of events and you could've argued they physically loved us. The newer bunch ran out the gate without an event for several months and their first one was aimed at selling us tickets for a s'mores night to hang out with them and it got worse from there. Very disappointing in the fact that they know resident are leaving and trying to put on character now. 4th, this place is overprice and not true luxury. The firearm randomly goes off every few months waking us at 3am. One particular week is was terrible. For about 4-5 days we were woken up at 3 or 4am and waited outside until the fire department turned off the alarms. The leasing team suggested it was residence smoking but I think that's false and they had no clue but needed to provide an answer to keep us from being annoyed at the fact they didn't know. My apartment in independence (azure) was much more luxurious than this place. The walls are thin, the elevators is consistently broken, the lights need constant replacing, the sinks (especially the kitchen) are poorly made and now poorly managed. I truly hope this clears up anything for anyone. read more

My mother in law lived in the complex for a year and half. She recently had to move due to an unexpected health issue. The complex manager, Carrie, was extremely helpful. They worked with us through a very difficult time. The complex is well maintained and location can't be beat. The complex has been a nice addition to the area. read more

I did love this place upon moving in and it seemed great. But there are some issues to be aware of that can become annoying and not worth the price. I worked in customer service for a long time and this isn't it. The club house is not kid friendly. I have had my kids asked to be quiet many times as others come in minutes later even louder. The manager doesn't want business to be disturbed and openly expresses this. The dog droppings is beyond control. I've asked multiple times for something to be done. Weekly my son steps in it or has issues avoiding smeared pieces on the sidewalk. My neighbors dog had droppings on their balcony for two weeks and it never got picked up. After multiple request. They just swept it down in front of the door, where everyone tracked over it. Even after asking the office to clear it, it was left for a month until it rained and washed away. My neighbors dog is left on the balcony to bark constantly and all the dogs bark when someone walks down the hallway. The Trash service was nice but again my neighbor leaves dog droppings out all weekend and it smells horrible. They charge $25 for trash violations and are picky. The email I accidentally got sent that was to be my neighbors was rude and unprofessional. Being near a stair well you will hear the door slamming all hours and waking people up. The walls are thin and you can hear what everyone says while walking by. My son has a lot of special needs that many don't understand and let's just say they are not kind unless it meets what the manager believes as okay behavior. I notice a lot of people avoiding the club house while they are open or passing through with out relaxing or enjoying it. The atmosphere is definitely off....... The pool doesn't seem heated at all. It's freezing in any where around 65-70 degrees out. I was disappointed. And it smells of weed and cigarettes smoke. Upon entering, exiting and being around the property. Not the type of community you would think would come with type of place. I will say maintenance is on point. Coming with a washer and dryer made moving in so much easier. I'm not sure how they price garages but I pay 130 ish for a closed garage and can barely fit my van in while I see others with x3 the space. So I would be questioning if they are the same price. There are only about 4 kids here off the bus and they hid the snacks saying the kids were not using them the way they were intended....... Per managers request. My wife and I moved here from another apartment complex in the area and have to say there is no comparison between the two. Encore is by far the best place we have leased in the last two years. The apartments are very spacious and the appliances are fantastic. The quality of the apartment and the amenities that are your to use are amazing. The office and maintenance staff are absolutely wonderful and always willing to help any way they can. We recommend Encore to everyone we know that are looking for a place to lease. I absolutely love my apartment and the community here at encore. my apartment is very elegant. I love the staff here are helpful and very friendly.
