The restaurant (Manfredi at Bells) has fantastic food, though a limited menu if staying for more than one meal. Service at the restaurant is stunning, can't say enough good things about the wait staff - courteous, attentive and, most importantly, not in your way when you don't need them to be. Unfortunately, hotel staff are a different matter. Reception are a bit meh, and don't seem to care when you've got issues with your accommodation. They seem to have multiple systems for the estate because housekeeping can't seem to see when people have booked into other areas of the estate to see when a convenient time is to clean the room. Yes, I know it's pedantic, but it's a bloody expensive stay, so you expect amazing service. When your heating doesn't turn on and your air con is broken, and the reception doesn't seem to believe you and takes four hours to respond to your request, and then can't fix it themselves, it doesn't endear you to their service quality. When your toiletries are watered down, I'm the first one to cry "First world problems", but again, you're paying a lot of money for this level of service so you expect it to be top notch. So, lessons for Killcare - invest in another maintenance person in case one is busy - cross training is essential - I don't care if one is picking up a helicopter from the next estate, all I care is that I'm spending a bloody cold day in a five star resort with no heating. Another lesson - track your guests - invest in the software to see their whereabouts pop up on your restaurant reservation system so you don't leave messages on their phone when the place has no cell coverage. And finally - your reception is your front of house - it's the bastion of welcome, first and last. Make sure they are trained well and give them the tools to make their guests feel welcome, not make their guests feel like they are getting in your way.

Had the oysters and they were sweet with a great minuet on the side. The wings were excellent, tender and tasty. Had the Bent Spoke Crankshaft beer and it was refreshing with a tropical vibe hitting the taste buds. The bartender was amazing, and the cook came out and served us our food, great guy. Based on what I experienced, I will be happy and looking forward to coming back and finding more surprises.

They also upgraded us to the best room with the most incredible views over Gosford and the coast. The room had a super comfy bed and a decent size Flat screen TV which was an awesome set up for watching the tennis! They have a microwave, fridge, kettle and toaster as well as a full range of cutlery and China which made dinner a breeze. The staff are super friendly and efficient. The room was very clean and although the decor was a little dated it felt like it had been really well maintained. The location is ideal if you are road tripping up the coast as it is really close to the highway and has stacks of parking. They also have the option of breakfast in the morning if you choose starting from $5 per person. We were very impressed with this little motel.

The outdoor dining area is fully covered and big with plenty of tables. Don't drop your keys or coins as it will go through the floor. The view is pretty good too. There were four of us and we all had something different. The quiche was "lovely"; the sauce on the hamburger was good; plenty in fisherman's basket but the pot pie was the pick. It is a bit of a drive from civilisation so make a day of it. Remember it is cash only and no cards.

Entertainment for kids (big & little) consist of organised craft & discos to swimming in the pools. We were able to spend a whole afternoon beside and in the pool. The pool slide looks as if it is a gentle enough experience but some were able to shoot out the end like a bullet. It is very deep at the slide end so little ones need to be caught in the water if they can't swim. It is also a short walk to the surf and a skate park.

This one had a spa bath tub. The beach house was immaculate and lovely furnished. This place had everything you needed to make a comfortable stay, pots, pans, dishes, utensils, bedding, detergent (although limited amount for clothing) and even a washer and dryer for clothing! I loved how the front doors were all accordion style window doors. It made it perfect to open the doors in the morning and in the evening. It does get a little cool at evening so we shut them after about 9 pm. The beds were very comfortable and each room had a fan/heater for when you needed it. The place looked pretty new. Our family had a barn dance at the barn and the staff were kind enough to let us in early to setup, as no one else was renting it. It's very close to town as well: there is a Woolworth's in town and some other good stores and restaurants. There is planty to do for families. The pool was nice and clean, though it got packed at certain times of the day. The bouncing pads were one of the kids favorites, as were the parks, go-karts, and electric bikes. It was a great stay and I would definitely stay again.

Let's so much space you could swing multiple cats in two hands and it's over two wide levels . There is indoor and outdoor hangout spots and if it's cold .... who cares !!! ..... so many heaters you could bring your wet laundry and dry it while chilling. Every drink option is available ....... heaps of pool tables in one room ..... although usually full of youthful faces ...... the food is great ..... also so many choices you might be slapped into making a decision. Like Nike says ...... Just do it !!!
