This place used to be great and my family had gone there for about ten years! It used to have great deals and an awesome dollar rack! They also used to take my nice work clothing to resell and I'd always have a credit. They were sold a few years back and what a difference! Now if I ask about consignment she sighs and says the list is soo long and it may be years. Sorry I'm moving on. Clothes are about the same price as any retail store and not consignment pricing! My main complaint though is the very strong fragrance! Plug ins!! I start coughing within 5 minutes and my eyes are burning! It's so toxic and I don't know how they can work in there. I've heard the same from other people who have gone there and they are losing customers! We need more good consignment stores in Skagit as now I have to go North or South! read more

I will never come here again after the way one employee treated my husband. We walked in not knowing it was a shop only for women but we still wanted to look around and see everything they had but the employee that was incredibly rude to my husband criticized him for smelling like cigarettes and told him not to touch anything. She kept staring at us and was watching us like we were misfits and it was very uncomfortable. You don't do that to people who want to come into your shop and see what you have to buy or just simply look at. It's a free country and people are allowed to go to a shop and look at whatever they want. I told my mom about this because she was wanting to check out the place but now she's not going to after I told her about the incident we had. She was shocked and disgusted with how my husband was treated and she said we should've left and we did. If I could give this review no stars I would. read more

If i could give a 0 i would. as a seller, twice Encore took my clothes and accessories (1st time 36 items, 2nd time 12) and both times they said 'sorry only two of your items sold on the discount rack'. I received less than $2 each time. I went in at least nine times to check the racks for my items. Never found one. They went somewhere else? they sold somewhere else? No explanation no nothing when i said i never found anything for sale at the store. read more

This is my favorite consignment shop. I always find something when I come. They have a lot of clothes that are brand new with the tags still on them. Anytime I have a big event I come here first to see what deals I can find. They also carry many upscale names like Calvin Klein etc. read more

You can find Danskos here!! Good coats too. Very good thrift store. It's nice because it's full of stuff but it's not super crowded like Goodwill can be. It's a little more expensive than Goodwill sometimes, but the generally have better-quality stuff. read more

This is probably a good place to shop if you like to purchase a used clothes. There is a lot here! However, this is a horrible place to consign. This is the only consignment store I have ever worked with that refuses to give you a list of items they can sign for you. They obviously have to put them into a system, but they will not provide you with a list and the prices that they put on your items. Literally every other consignment store I have worked with provide you with this list. I have no idea why they won't. I asked, and they refused. Makes me wonder... Secondly, you literally get pennies on the dollar for your clothes, even if they are brand new with tags! read more

I love this place. I have never purchased anything here, but it's a great place to consign. I think they offer some of the best return on consignment in the state! I originally found the Encore Shoppe when I was working retail in college and constantly needed to clean out my closet to make room for new clothes (isn't college hard?!). At the time I was living in Bellingham and working in Burlington, so the location was very convenient. Even though I now live in Seattle, I still make the drive up to Mt Vernon few times a year to drop things off. The Encore Shoppe's owner is fantastic! She is so friendly and is usually running things at the store. Even though I only make a visit in occasionally (due to the drive), she always remembers me and thanks me for coming so far. She's even held extras of my clothes (that weren't in season yet), which it against her store policy, so that I didn't have to drive up as often. I am really grateful for all the awesome service I received at this place and am even more grateful when my check comes in the mail a few months later! This place rocks. read more

Such an amazing store with so many name brands and very reasonable prices! Can't even name how many times I've gone to a consignment store and everything was so over priced. Loved all the women working there, they were so friendly and made me feel welcome. Not only does half my closet almost consist of the clothes i buy here, but i can look at them without feeling guilty. Don't let the displays of the sometime weird looking coat in their windows make you walk by because inside are fashion designer labels, shoes, purses galore, and the occasional non-stained prom dress. this little store has unique finds that suit any woman ages 10-100! whenever i go here i always buy something that no one else at my school owns! i could spend hours in the little shoppe grabbing 100's of items of the many racks found in this diverse consignment store, and i am your average picky teenager obsessed with fashion. one last thing...it is not expensive clothing that you just push aside, this is the real stuff people because i know what i am talking about :) read more
