Nice little thrift shop that is not overwhelming in size and clutter. I prefer the prices here over the Goodwill that is close by. Staff is also very friendly!! Make sure to ask about what color code is discounted the day you go in.... It isn't posted anywhere. read more

I came in here after going to the Value Village in the same shopping center just to see what they had to offer. It's a very small store and a bit random as are most thrift stores. It was a little too random and disorganized for my taste and there weren't a lot of men's clothes which I find slightly irritating as if men don't shop at thrift stores. There are hardly any shoes as well when I went. There were a lot of things for crafting and women's clothes. No furniture or large items as the store is super small and not even wide enough to have like a shopping cart or anything. I did spend some time near the kitty they had up for adoption and she was very playful and cute. I think that is cool that you can adopt right on site, although they only have one animal at a time so you don't really get a chance to "shop around" or sit with the animal to make sure it's a good fit. As soon as I saw the cat as I entered the store, I thought it was going to smell like an old cat lady's house but it actually is quite clean in there. I give them applauds for the service they provide to the community and placing animals with viable pet parents. read more

In the realm of thrift shops the Humane Society Thrift Shop ranks among the top percentile. Their diverse inventory is well-organized. The items are clean. The store is clean. The items are prices to move. The strip mall location has ample free parking. It's evident there's a lot of pride in the management of this store and that's a big reason I feel good about shopping there. They also adopt kitties but I don't have any info about that. read more

The store has a little bit of everything and the prices are great! They also help cats by having one up for adoption at a time! I feel more people should support their local thrift shops. Value Village and Goodwill's prices are going through the roof, and where the money is all going is very questionable. These guys support an amazing cause while providing great and reasonable prices. I've been coming here nearly all my life, and have had nothing but great customer service. The people here are usually nice though very reserved. This thrift store used to be a part of our regular circuit when we would go to thrift stores, but it has since lost favor and we no longer visit it. Every time I visited, I have been friendly with the people and for the most part, the employees have been friendly back. There is a woman who manages or owns it and usually works in the back. She appears in charge of the pricing. This person has always seemed to be edgy, tense, and to have a chip on her shoulder about something or another and I have tried to establish friendly communication as I do with all of the other people at thrift stores. It's her edgy unpleasant nature that brings this store down a notch. She seems tense, very unhappy and jaded and perhaps should try another occupation. The location is a part of the same building that Value Village is in and I feel that the pricing of Value Village has perhaps corrupted this thrift store. The prices on many of the items seem to be based on Ebay or the international market online. Still, there are many individually priced smaller items that you may not find at the larger thrift stores. For example, you can buy one spoon or one fork here. Tchotchkes and trinkets adorn the shelves here. If you like nick-nacks, pins, patches, and items of this nature, you can spend at least an hour looking around. I came in here looking for a weight for a pressure cooker that I had recently purchased brand new at a garage sale for $2. The lady in back had a box of them I saw one that appeared to match the cooker I purchased, she said, "One moment." hopped on her computer and looked up the price online "That will be $8." I offered to give her $2 for it but she said, "No, they cost much more than that online and in the store." I thought she was trying to negotiate so I smiled and offered to pay her $3 if she felt good about that, but she stood her ground and kept the weight that went right back into the box with 10 or 12 others. Seriously?! Bad policy and she lost my business. I donated the brand new pressure cooker to Value Village for a 20% off coupon. There is a color tag theme with this store and they have regular discounts, usually the items that make it to the discount are not worth the discounted price so this does not seem to make much sense. This store does not offer a veteran discount. I appreciate the idea of the Humane Society though, so this store gets 2 stars. At one time they used to have pets in the store for adoption or display, but no longer do and now it seems as if the store is using the name Humane Society to boost donations and sales. With better management this location could do quite well next to Value Village. As it is though, we no longer visit just because of the bad vibes and the ebay prices. read more

A fun place to browse and shop. Staff are very helpful and pleasant. Nice selection of ladies clothing at reasonable prices and some housewares and misc. items along the walls. Check out the discount colored tags for added savings. I'm glad to know that my donation helps animals. read more
