I was afraid of that, so I just bit the bullet and bought my new Dell PC from him. He transferred all my stuff from the old PC to the new PC, wiped my old PC clean, and took it away, to be donated at Xmas time to the needy. Mo said there are more needy families in the area than I could imagine. He asked me if I had backed up all my files. Ummm, nope; just the words 'The Cloud' scare me, and, although I was very careful bitd about backing up my work files, MY stuff didn't seem that important, until Mo reminded me that I said I probably had other documents that should be backed up if my PC got hit by a bomb. He went back to his store and backed my old PC files onto a thumb/flash drive, (or whatever it is called these days) and I picked it up from him today. I am struggling a bit trying to learn the new PC with Windows 11, but Mo said I could call him anytime I needed help. He wasn't at all snarky and superior-acting about my lack of knowledge, but was very kind and patient. I am thrilled to have found someone trustworthy to help me. I have friends who have been hacked and lost almost everything, so I am always very nervous about security. Notified the motherboard had damage to the CPU pins (which is not a common occurrence at all since the CPU never moves). Notified the HSC employee I would like either the company with the device or themselves to ensure the components were placed back in their appropriate locations. While the employees were polite, I received the computer back with the shell, all boards, 4 extra ram sticks (RAM and SSDs removed prior), cpu and gpu thrown in a box loosely without any ESD bags.
