whoohoo, first review! stopped by this gallery after eyeing some nice art pieces in the window and…read moredecided to check it out. as i perused around, i saw lots of street art and cool knick knacks displayed by artists i weren't too familiar with...but after talking to the owners about street artists that i liked, he was able to point out a few prints and pieces in the back of the store that were on sale. the owners were really chill and were kind enough to show off pieces from their own collection that they were selling. they also had a few prints by Shepard Fairey and other artists for sale as well. i ended up buying a Cryptik- Eastern Philosophy book, which was sold out online and so it was a pleasant surprise to find here. definitely a cool spot to check out if you're into contemporary/urban art!

Eric the docent at Stahl House is informative, engaging, and very passionate. I knew a little bit about the house and its story , but Eric definitely paints a wonderful picture about the stahls and their commitment to follow their dreams! My advice to anyone is make sure you bring clean socks because you will be removing your shoes when entering the home and be prepared to take lots of photos. Eric was more than willing to help direct us to the best spots to take photos. Be mindful that no photo equipment is allowed other than your phone.

He was cool, kind, and open to questions - just al all-around great person. Definitely take this tour if you are looking for fantastic information, cool art, and just an eye-opening look at some of the art in the Arts District. We also added-on a spray can workshop, which was also amazing. It was fun for our students to use some of the techniques Sergio had discussed in their own attempts at street art style. In addition to Sergio, ShanduOne showed up to help out with supplies and guidance. A+, Five Stars! If you're thinking of doing this street art tour, just do it!

I had did some research before I stepped into this creative expression of fun collections. This…read moremuseum is definitely an art experience worth visiting with iconic figures and street art that paints Mr. Brainwash's (Thierry Guetta) main mantra for the museum, "Life Is Beautiful" which is dedicated to honoring imagination, joy, creativity and inspiration. It's his own work that is displayed but he also references artists work such as the famous Banksy and other artists. A friend told me that the documentary, Exit through the Gift Shop, is connected to this museum. I have yet to watch but will do so to gain more understanding. Apparently, it was free museum day because there were hosts at the door greeting and letting visitors in. That was nice. It wasn't too busy but a good crowd to where I had to wait for my turn to take photos. It's three levels including the rooftop where more artwork is held and a view overlooking Beverly Hills. They also have a gift shop with unique items for purchase. I bought a cutesy pen with an engraved quote on it. To add, I was instantly moved by the creativity and effort they put into this museum. It brought a lot of inspiration. The art work gave me ideas of how I would want a part of my home to look like. It was a fun visit and would recommend for anyone wanting to dig into their imagination and enjoys art. I am also a sucker for anything that brings out the inner child in me and this place fed it well. Thank you, Mr. Brainwash and staff. Ps. The museum might be closed now. Unsure if it's temporary or permanently but still wanted to share my experience. I visited it in January of this year.

We reached out to Hattas Public Murals to paint a mural for our newborn son's nursery. With a very…read morespecial but also specific theme in mind, we were unable to find any traditional wall decor in stores that really matched our vision. That's when we decided to commission a mural through a professional and quickly connected with Jeannine at Hattas Public Murals on Thumbtack. We received a lightning fast response, and were immediately impressed with her level of professionalism and accomplished portfolio. After a short on-site consult to take measurements and notes, Jeannine and her team got to work, sending mock-ups (and a few revisions) that brought our idea to life, but also within our budget. The mural features a scene inspired from the book series ("The Prydain Chronicles"), a monogram, our son's name, and a quote from the author. Our son, like the hero from the books is also adopted, so the concept behind the design was especially emotional. Jeannine listened to our story with so much compassion and understanding, we were absolutely confident the execution of the mural would be flawless. Our instincts were spot-on. Once the final mock-up was approved, Hattas Public Murals delivered and installed a spectacular work of art that still brings tears to my eyes. In fact, calling it art is quite the understatement; it is an awe-inspiring and  immersive experience. Everyone who has stepped into our baby boy's nursery has been absolutely blown away, and are amazed by the love and care that can be found in every brush stroke. We could not be more in love with this mural, and the pictures attached simply cannot do it justice. Best of all, it was painted on canvas and applied like wallpaper, so it can be moved, preserved, and treasured for many years to come. We cannot begin to thank Jeannine and her team enough for making our nursery the most special room in our home; with a one of a kind mural that is just as unique and beautiful as our son, Taran. Not only will we recommend Hattas Public Murals to anyone and everyone for their creative decor needs, but we intend to commission Jeannine and her team for several future projects.

This is an excellent company and I'm so happy with my decision…read more Let me start by saying this is the first time I've hired a muralist and I am also a first time father. This was important to me. Jeanine took the time to listen to what I was looking for and suggested a few things to help grow my idea. I loved that. She came over and was so kind and really took time to understand this was more than just a job; this was something my kid is going to grow up with. She took measurements, and even took color swatches of the carpet and furniture to make sure we matched the color palette! She quickly mocked something up and a few days later I had a photoshopped mockup for approval. Once we approved it we setup a date and I paid the deposit. Marcus was the artist that was assigned to this project. He was so kind and wonderful in my home. He let my wife and I peek and see progress, and would check in with me if he had any questions. He's a really talented artist and executed my vision faithfully. At the end of the day my wife cried (with joy), we have our incredible mural and I couldn't recommend this company enough. Really pleased with how it turned out and I will be calling them again for my next mural or art project.

It is approximately 8 feet tall and 10 feet wide. It stands at the entrance to a small, private parking lot, and next to a huge "CALIFIA" mural. The bright pink background brings life to any photo taken here. There is a small informational flyer pasted on the mural's edge. It includes information such as The start of the Global Angel Wings Project began in 2012 in The City of Angels to remind us that we are angels on earth. The project has spread to Taiwan, Australia, Kenya, and other cities, including Haleiwa, Hawaii! Please take a moment (if you are in the area) to take a photo with the Wings and remember that you are an angel in someone's life...

I could have spent the whole day there - in fact there was one particular piece I could have spent hours perusing and keep seeing new things in it. Flavio was welcoming, and encouraged my friend and i to take our time and wander, which we were happy to do. Molhulland Drive, California…read more If you're looking for a chill, romantic drive, Mulholland Drive is a great pick!!! The views are beautiful, especially in the spring and fall when everything is green and wildflowers are blooming. The road winds through the hills, so you get nonstop scenic views. Driving with the top down and the wind in your hair makes it even better ~ super relaxing and enjoyable. It's the kind of drive where you just take it slow and enjoy the ride. There are several lookout spots where you can pull over, catch an amazing sunset, and later see Hollywood and San Fernando Valley city lights at night. Plus, there are plenty of spots perfect for Instagram ~ worthy photos. Definitely worth the drive.
