This wasn't where we had planned to eat during our brief stay in Tunkhannock, but, after a very…read morestrong recommendation from the staff at Nimble Hill Winery we gave it a shot. Set Up: Super Easy. Hop on OpenTable and make a reservation. It was mid-week and a bit before they opened so I'm sure that made it easier but even though it was beautiful sunny late-afternoon, seating was no problem. One confusing thing - the different seating options. I forget what they were but things like main patio, lower patio, covered patio, patio, high top and standard. There is a lot going on with that. It all makes sense when you see how the outside is laid out, but the first time is a bit of a head scratcher. Service: Things here are definitely designed to be enjoyed at a leisurely pace which is fine. Our person was there when she needed to be there but if you are looking for something quick, maybe inside at the bar would work better because it was a solid two hours for us door to door. Food: thebeaumontinn.com/menus/summer-menu-2/ (For reference the current menu is above but no doubt this changes often) French Onion Soup - BBQ Pulled Pork/Brisket Soup Scottish Salmon - Scallops It's been a few weeks, so the details are a bit hazy, but nothing stood out as being bad or off-putting with possibly once exception. That pulled pork soup thing wasn't bad but the consistency was just....different. Never had BBQ has a soup before and probably never directly will again. I will say this, Beaumont oozes classy and sitting outside on a warm summer evening with a bit of a breeze with all of the flora and fauna of the grounds in truly a treat. I don't see a trip to this area at any point in my near future but if you are up this way and don't mind doing something a bit upscale, you could do far worse than coming here.

We started off with their fresh bread & olive oil mix and it was fantastic. Then we moved on to the Chile Lime Shrimp appetizer with coconut rice which was amazing too. House salads were fresh and tasty. Then we moved on to the main course and had the Veal Schnitzel which was fresh breaded tender veal and carrots. We also had the Baked Short Ribs Bolognese. The short ribs tasted like they were done in a red wine base & the pasta sauce was a delicious light marinara. We finished off with a Vanilla Creme Brûlée. Everything was amazing as well as the service where the waitresses and waiters all pitch in at our table. Highly recommended!

We started with the Passionfruit Poached Shrimp Cocktail & Butternut Squash Bisque - both AWEsome! Salads were fresh, too! Main courses were Long Island Duck and Ginger & Soy Salmon - mouthwatering! Dessert was awesome as well. Atmosphere was modern, yet a bit retro - you can tell the restaurant reuses an existing building. All-in-all a 5-star experience - when back in the area, we will be sure to seek out Kevin's!

It's a beautiful place, nice lounge area, classy bar (pls remember you're still at a nice place, cough cough backward hat guy...). We sat down at our candle lit table and got complimentary water and our waitress sent over some bread and olive oil... the waitress with the bread, well wasn't the most social person. She gave us each a big piece of bread and some olive oil. We did request black pepper in the oil which I suggest. The bread was also cold which was strange. 6/10 For appetizers we got beef carpaccio and calamari. The beef carpaccio came out with a oniony creamy dip, arugula, onion, capers, and dill in the middle on top of the thin meat. Strangely it came with like 4 house made salt and vinegar potato chips. I honestly liked it so much and wanted more and I got it for dessert... 8.8/10. The calamari was perfectly cooked, not chewy at all, and also came with tentacles (my favorite). There was a yummy aïoli with a tang and some peppers. Just wish there was more... 7.9/10 For our entrees we got two filets, medium rare, one with Gorgonzola sauce and one with no sauce (the sauce comes on the side). We also got two bucatini dishes, one with and one without meat. The filets were perfectly cooked, usually every restaurant either overcooks or undercooks my steak but AV did it right. The Gorgonzola sauce was a rich cheesy sauce. The mashed potatoes were creamy and felt homemade. The carrots were alright, just sliced and cooked same with the green beans. 7.6/10 The bucatini was actually really good! So creamy and delicious, with a little spice. They both came with burrata (love), and the meat one came with a little amount of sausage pieces nothing recognizable. The spice wasn't unenjoyable and was tolerable to someone who can't handle spice. 8.6/10 Time for dessert, we got crème brûlée, the apple cake, and the sweet tart brown sugar lemon dessert. And some beef carpaccio because I wasn't feelin dessert. Crème brûlée, the top was perfectly crystallized. The inside was room temp, not cooled and not warm. 7.6/10 Apple cake, the cake came with a big ice cream scoop on top. Inside there was Apple slices like a pie. The cake was bread like and a good balance of the sweet ice cream and apple innards. 6.8/10 Sweet lemon brown sugar tart, this wasn't a favorite of the table but I didn't mind it. It was a cup like tart, with mouse or a cream in it. 5.7/10. Overall experience was pretty good, nothing bad stood out except for the cold bread and non social waitress interaction. The food was great, atmosphere was wow, and the outside was a beautiful walk to the car. The parking is a fend for yourself and there is a sign on the door to not use the private lot across the street. Overall experience....... 8.1/10 No pictures this time, was really hungry.

We reserved igloo #2 on 12/28/24, it was our wedding anniversary. The food and service was very good, but the ambiance in the igloo was lacking. It might be fine for a larger group for conversation and privacy. The igloo decor consisted of two small red lanterns hung in the center of the igloo. White linens. No centerpiece, no candles or twinkle lights. The beautiful stone fireplace surround had a plain wreath over the hearth with lights. Nothing special. I would have had more greenery, trees with lights around the two igloos or fireplace. It needed to be more festive and the table linens red or green. A votive centerpiece or flower or greenery on the table would have made it more inviting, and the excess chairs removed from the igloo. There was a $50.00 reservation fee to reserve the igloo. This is not refundable. So if you cancel you're out $50. The fee does not go towards your meal. It does include the gratuity. We spent approximately $150.00 for our meals and drinks, we would have normally tipped 20%. Overall, I would not recommend reserving the igloos at the pavilion. However, the inside of the pavilion was lovely, and I wished I reserved a table in there instead of the igloo.

The below lists what they offer and when they offer it. www.nimblehillbrewing.com/come-visit-us.html Overall it's very straight forward. When you walk in, they have their offerings for sale in a grab and go format or they have sitting rooms & a small bar like environment where you can taste/sample and hang out. We rumbled in about an hour before closing on a weekday and chose to sit at the bar. The staff we encountered were all fantastic and they gave some nice guidance as to what to expect with certain flavors depending on what we chose. Speaking of choice, they give you sheets if you're going down the tasting route that explains what you're getting yourself into (dry, sweet, dessert, etc.) and if there is any upcharge past that standard 5 for $12 charge. Some of the stuff was definitely not my speed (i.e. I'm not a dry guy) but some of it was nice and we bought a few bottles to take with us. They do offer some pretzels, crackers and cheese for pairings for a small additional charge. Nimble Hill was fun diversion. It was a very enjoyable experience and a member of staff gave us a fantastic dinner recommendation for The Beaumont Inn which also turned out to be fantastic just as she said it would be.

I'm very disappointed to say the least as this was our favorite spot to just sit and relax with our tasting. This is my kid's favorite 'fancy' place, so if it's not hibachi, we're here often; but don't let that fool your tastebuds. Quite possibly the best calamari this area has to offer (more than just breaded and fried, it's a nice shareable dish with roasted plum tomatoes, spinach, shaved parmesan, balsamic reduction and optional garlic aioli) and dare-I-say the ICONIC Orange Cognac salad. We did the Italian four course chef's dinner in February and rented an igloo for a friend's daughter's birthday earlier in the month. Both meals were excellent and we were able to order a variety of things to try since the chef's dinner offered some of their staple cocktails to pair, and the kiddos are adventurous in their food journey as well. We arrived early and the place was pretty empty, had a drink at the bar and then went to our table outside. The mixed drink options were mediocre and weak. However, ambiance is great, relaxed and casual with a nice view of a small creek waterfall they have installed and fire pit. The service was also great, our server was attentive and witty. We started with clams which were large and we all had surf and turf which comes with sides and salad/soup. The lobster was sweet and delicious, served with filet mignon, mashed potatoes, and green bean/carrot mixture. The filet on the other hand was a bit over cooked per request and also had a smoked taste. The bill was steep with surf and turf being $65.. for a total of $400. Overall, I enjoyed although I agree with other reviews with the prices being a bit out of range for what you get.
