What do I know about beer? Not much. What do I know about wine? Even less. Either way, this seemed like it would be a nice random stop in the Tunkhannock area and thankfully, it was. When you walk in, they have their offerings for sale in a grab and go format or they have sitting rooms & a small bar like environment where you can taste/sample and hang out. We rumbled in about an hour before closing on a weekday and chose to sit at the bar. The staff we encountered were all fantastic and they gave some nice guidance as to what to expect with certain flavors depending on what we chose. Speaking of choice, they give you sheets if you're going down the tasting route that explains what you're getting yourself into (dry, sweet, dessert, etc.) and if there is any upcharge past that standard 5 for $12 charge. Some of the stuff was definitely not my speed (i.e. I'm not a dry guy) but some of it was nice and we bought a few bottles to take with us. They do offer some pretzels, crackers and cheese for pairings for a small additional charge. Nimble Hill was fun diversion. It was a very enjoyable experience and a member of staff gave us a fantastic dinner recommendation for The Beaumont Inn which also turned out to be fantastic just as she said it would be. read more

So I am updating this review not based on the beer or the wine. They're still fantastic however they've closed the gorgeous sitting room to parties of 6 or more. I'm very disappointed to say the least as this was our favorite spot to just sit and relax with our tasting. While I will still buy the beer I won't make a special trip to come sit at a high top table with chairs with no backs. Unfortunate they have forgotten about the customer so soon. read more

Another winery weekend. This weekend we found ourselves in Tunkhannock. Love the community feel of this town. Everyone at the winery was so friendly. Very clean. A flight of wines for $10, not a bad deal. The wines were very tasty, both the sweet and dry. We bought the Niagara and the Cab Sav to bring home. They even had a small selection of pick foods. Very happy with our experience. We each built a wine flight (5 wines at $2/pour) and found our selections to be quite enjoyable. It seems white wine varietals fair well in northeast PA and I would happily serve the Nimble Hill Grüner Veltliner, Riesling orPinot Grigio to both houseguests and bar patrons. The Reds were also enjoyable, although I feel as though they don't quite hold to the standard profiles to which experienced Red drinkers are accustomed. That being said, we ended up leaving with two bottles of the estate Cab Franc and a bottle of Merlot sourced from NY, as I really enjoyed them both. As for bottles of white: one each of Riesling, Grüner Veltliner and Pennsylvania Apple Wine. Jennifer and Ellie were great hosts, and they seemed genuinely happy to have us as guests. We will be back for sure! You should definitely stop if you find yourself near Tunkhannock!! read more

We try to stop in when we visit Tunkhannock. We always enjoy it. Our favorite beer is the Midnight Flinkie. It's a Black and Tan. Quite delicious. If buying a draft they will customize if you want a little more or less stout. The staff is super friendly. Until next time. read more

What a great experience!! The ladies are so kind and so helpful. We got along with them very well. The assortment of wine here is so great. We bought 6 different bottles to bring home. Did a wine tasting to start with my bf and another couple, and then the men went over to the brewery side and they said that was pleasant! Had a smoked cheddar cheese to pair with the wine, so delicious. Spent about 3 hours here and still didn't want to leave. Will definitely be back! read more

I went to Nimble this evening with my wife and toddler. Unfortunately we locked keys in our SUV and and to call for service after leaving restaurant. We were told we would need to wait until about 6pm for help to arrive. We waited awhile outside but it was getting darker and colder. And we were on a busy highway with a toddler who liked to run Nimble hill closed at 5. I went to ask around 5:30 if we could wait inside for a short period until service arrived. We were told they were cleaning. They reluctantly offered go allow us into a back area that looked like storage. We declined their inhospitable offer. If it were just my wife and I, I would just let it go. But they knew we had a toddler. I will not recommend this place to anyone. read more

We stopped in after reading about them on Yelp and we were so glad we did. We both enjoyed a wine tasting and had great service and a very enjoyable time trying their delicious wines. We bought a case to go! Lol We then went to their brewery side and my husband tried their IPA and really enjoyed it. Great service on that side as well. It's pretty great when you can go to a single place to try both beer and wine. I really enjoy their beer tastings, and the staff is always friendly and informative while doing them. Their wine tastings are fun too and for a great price ($2!). There are places to sit if you'd like to have a beer while eating their fresh popcorn, and a cozy room on the other side to enjoy a glass of wine. read more

So, I came to a Winery to try their beer. Let me just tell you that this place is awesome. For $2 I got to try all the beer on tap. I also bought a tee-shirt and a four pack of their double IPA. I wish I bought a whole case of their double IPA (BONCZEK) because I would rank that beer as one of the top 5 beers I have ever had! The staff is also very nice and accomodating and seem to love what they do. A definite "must visit" destination for craft beer lovers! read more

Everyone was very friendly and the decor was really nice. They had a beer tasting room and a wine tasting room. My husband tasted the beers and really enjoyed them. We both tasted the wines and I really wanted to like them but they just weren't for me. I would recommend people give this place a try because they were so friendly and more than willing to answer any questions we had. read more

Disappointed because this brewery is not dog friendly inside or outside. I was asked to leave. No problem!

This is a fairly new Vineyard and they have built a beautiful tasting room, up on the side of hill over looking the rolling hills of PA. Oh yeah they have wine too! Nimble Hill uses only grapes to make their wine, never juice like other wineries. This produces a better wine and give more control to the wine maker, and it shows. Both the reds and white had more complex palettes then the other wineries in the aera. For being a new winery they certainly know what they are doing and look forward to returning soon. read more

I was there for the first time last week. I liked it a lot. I was very surprised by how many varieties of wine they have. Every wine I tried was very good. Before I visited here I was only familiar with their beers. This place seems to put more of a priority on the wine however because the beer selection seems to be limited. Check it out though, you won't be disappointed. My only suggestion would be for them to start serving food and I'll bet this place will get super busy with a few things on the menu read more

This is A GREAT stop to make while venturing into Downtown Tunkhannock! Walk in and you will love the cozy set up, and friendly service... They have two very nice sweet white wines i LOVE, named "Niagra" & "Mango Slide"! When you stop do not be shy taste testing, bc they are not plus there is plenty to choose from! With edition to the wine selection, they also brew beer, my hubby very much enjoyed the beer, he even took home a growler jug of it! Another LOVE of mine is how they sell by glass & bottle at the local Triton carnival every year, you are the only reason i hit the beer tent anymore, Nimble Hill !! read more
