This place is classy and efficient and very friendly. DePietro's filled my prescription quickly and they have excellent customer service. I transferred all my prescriptions to them away from CVS. This, then, is our store for getting the things needed to fill that goodie bag. The store is small and it's quite run down. Carbondale is not the fanciest place in Pennsylvania, but the place suffices for what we need. I must compliment the people who have waited on me at checkout. While I don't know if any of them have ever waited on me before (who could remember from one year to the next), they have always been pleasant and helpful.

I tried to renew them with other prescriptions less than a week b/4 they were due. I guess the fool doesn't realize that there are 30 days in some months and 31 in others. There are even times when I will run out of milk or eggs mid-week, and find myself stopping here for those items rather than shopping closer to home. In the several years my family has been shopping here, I have only had one incident where I was charged x2 for an expensive cut of Parmiggiano reggiano cheese but it was corrected during my next visit. I am really glad to be able to go to a well-run, competent, local pharmacy where they know what they're doing. Their selection of merchandise is not huge, but somehow they usually manage to have what I'm looking for - (kind of the opposite of those huge stores where they have a zillion thing but not what you actually want...)
