Dr Nesari did not finish root canal treatment which he started and then dismissed me from his offices. After that, what he did were efforts in blaming me for his dismissal, calling the police even if they admitted that I made NO THREATS, threatening me with attorney letters TWICE for online reviews and then excuses, excuses, silence, silence. It seems that he can do whatever he wants, with no one able to control him simply because he is a doctor. He tried to lie to my other dentists, framing me as a problem patient and then leading another dentist - who he referred Sandy Shih, DDS dismiss me either. He let me go when his RCT retreat was left with CaOH for nearly eight months. Yes, his retreat lasted for nearly 8 months and then he chose not to finish his work, sending me a dismissal letter. Then, we WENT TO SMALL CLAIM COURT for his refusal to finish the treatment, and HE LOST. Then, his attorney sent me cease and desist demand letters after they lost the small claims! He said in COURT that he does not feel comfortable about my strong attachments to teddy bears at my age and so he dismissed me as a patient. It sounds like a JOKE, but his sentences, his words WILL NEVER go away in my mind. All those sleepless nights in worrying about how to deal with his unfinished work were all because I should not have strong attachments to teddy bears as an adult? How can a doctor comment on a young patient's personal non-harmful preferences (like teddy bears) in such contemptuous way? Simply because he is a doctor with professional authority? Or because I am not a forty year old white man? Non empathy, loads of ego. Till now, no apologies, no attempts to repair (at least no willingness shown to do something helpful), only silence, excuses, lies, ego and defense. His actions may be legally permissible (words borrowed from his attorney letter) but are NOT ethically permissible, especially since he is a healthcare provider. Law is the minimum standard of ethics. If he claims that he did nothing illegal, that does NOT mean he is an ethical person and good doctor deserving patient's trust. How can you see someone who just claims he is legal? If you want to search for another dentist all over CA for his unfinished RCT (preparing for being refused and left in doubt whether the issue is with you - a patient in pain) and then get alerted by his attorney letters for bad reviews, you can choose this office at your own risk. read more

I had been dreading this root canal for weeks and as someone with a lot of anxiety about dental work I can't believe I can honestly say it was not that bad! And for anyone complaining about the cost, yes, root canals are expensive but you are paying a person with a super specialized skill and high tech equipment to give you the full use of a tooth for maybe the rest of your life, so to me that's well worth it! I put off getting a root canal for 3 years and finally worked up the courage to go see Dr. Tran and Liz. They were remarkably patient with all of my questions during the consult and explained the entire process. , and were absolutely correct. Liz put on Beyoncé when I came back for the procedure and Dr. Tran made sure I did not feel any pain. The sensation is weird, but it is not painful, which is all I cared about. In fact, I was able to go to chorus rehearsal later that evening with no problems. And they checked up on me the next day to make sure I was ok. I was expecting the process to be barbaric like something soldiers experienced during the American Civil War healthcare, but it was a nonevent. Not gonna say I'm looking forward to another root canal, but defiantly checking with Dr. Tran and Liz first if I need one. read more

They took good care of me, and did quick and easy service. They used plenty of painkiller and checked on me periodically. The root canal they did was done in two visits. They give options for music, and are friendly and clear with what's going on. I worked with Roy Nesari. Dr. Jennifer Terry, my dentist, referred me to Dr. Nesari in 2019 when at the time of a routine dental cleaning, she found something on exam that was concerning that I might need work done on tooth 24. Dr. Nesari did a CT, unbeknownst to me it was a CT apparently only of tooth 24 and immediately surrounding number 24 but NOT all my teeth. If there is bone resorption in 24, why would you not look at all the other teeth in my mouth for problems and try to save other teeth?!! That's my first problem with this office. Why didn't they look at my other teeth if there was bone resorption in 24 and 25 there is bound to be the same in other teeth right? Are you in practice to save teeth?? But if you don't look at them, how do you know? These things can't really be reliably detected by exams that's why CT scans are invaluable! I don't care about a little excess radiation, I care about saving my teeth! At any rate, back in 2019, Dr. Nesari told me I would lose number 24 eventually and that the bone resorption was not repairable and the tooth therefore would need to be extracted once it became symptomatic. He did NOT tell me he had not evaluated all my other teeth!! This doesn't seem right to me. Skip to now, Jan 2025, and number 24 got inflamed on backside/lingual side at the root and I started to have very mild pain. I went back to Dr. Nesari's office and saw Dr. Stephanie Lee this time, his colleague. Another CT was done. She was kind and patient and let me know that 24 (and 25) had bone resorption that cannot be repaired and 24 needs to be extracted since it's hurting me. She said number 25 will follow the same course as the nerve is slowing dying in that one too, but she did not tell me that the CT was limited and that my other teeth had NOT been evaluated! She told me to see a periodontist for extraction and implants. I went to see Dr. S Park, a periodontist, with the disk of my CT scan from Dr. Nesari's office (which was useless because it only showed one view and because of this led to much misunderstanding). Dr Park said she might be able to save number 24. I got excited. She said she would talk to Dr Stephanie Lee and see why Dr. Lee can't do a root canal so that she could then repair the tooth, do a bone graft to prepare for the future, and save tooth 24, at least for now. Now i had 2 different opinions so I decided to get a second Endodontist opinion from Dr. Shadmehr in a different office. She did another CT of ALL my teeth and found I had an additional problem. Tooth 13 had a grade 2 bone resorption and she could do a root canal and then repair the resorption and thus save the tooth. Dr Shadmehr did a microscopic root canal, painless, today on tooth 13. I will have a repair of the bone resorption by her thru a gum flap incision in a week to repair the tooth and then that tooth should be fine. When I came for the appt with Dr. Stephanie Lee, I overheard the receptionist tell Dr. Lee that my appt was "the longest ever" as I was walking to get my coat in another room and passed by the front desk in the hallway. Very unprofessional I thought! After that the receptionist, who had been initially very nice to me, changed her tone, didn't make eye contact, and became more brusque with me which was such a change from how she checked me in. I am disappointed that 2 endodontists in this office failed to fully evaluate all my teeth and failed to inform me that the CT was limited views. They missed tooth 13 which now thankfully will be saved by Dr Shadmehr. I am also disappointed that a receptionist puts pressure on Dr Lee not to spend the time it takes to explain the situation to me, the patient. I mean who is in control of this office, the receptionist or the endodotist/dentists? Shouldn't the endodontist/dentist be the one who should be deciding how much time they need with patients! I am a physician. If this is how I get treated, I feel sorry for those who know less than I. Always, always get a second opinion and ask lots of questions. I am sure these endodontists are competent but this did not go well for me and has caused me to lose sleep not knowing who to trust. read more

I've had a ton of dental work done in lots of different places, and this is by far my best dental experience ever. Dr. Nesari is experienced, gentle, and thoughtful in his approach. He was able to help me with last-minute root canals, TWICE. Once was on Christmas Eve. Even over the holidays he was incredibly responsive to my texts (I felt terrible for disrupting his holiday, but was also in pain, so I was grateful he responded!). His staff is wonderful and made tons of calls to help me find a referral that would take my insurance. I went to Dr. Nesari after seeing the stellar reviews on yelp and he truly lives up to the 5 star reviews! His staff is very professional, office is clean, and he really listens to your concerns while doing the check up and advising solutions/options. Why I was here // My dentist from back in LA gave me such huge scare by telling me that one of my front teeth had died. (I have a veneer cap on top) He said since it was dead, I wouldn't notice or have pain. He said he could operate, but never gave me any references....feeling scared I came to Dr. Nesari for a second opinion. And GUESS WHAT...I didn't need a root canal! Dr. Nesari retook my x-rays and performed a cold test and he said that I was in the clear. Super grateful for Dr. Nesari re-checking the health of my teeth. Oh man, I don't know where to start! So when I had my cleaning, my general dentist insisted me that I needed a filling on my tooth because it was cracked/chipped or whatever. I hold it off since it wasn't bothering me and finally got the filling done in Oct. After the filling, I thought it was just the normal soreness/uncomfortable that I was feeling. I waited and after a week, when i chew, it was still so sensitive, so I went back to my general dentist to get it "fix". Then I waited and it has been a month since the original filling date. And nope, it was still so sensitive that every morning I cannot use water to rinse my mouth. So I went back to my gen dentist again and he said the filling was fine and he has no idea why. He then just wrote me a referral to an endodontist. Well, being in pain and in a worry state because this has never happened to me my whole life, I was just going to go to the endodontist my gen dentist referred. I WAS SO GLAD I DIDNT.（A few reasons) My friend told me her horrible root canal experience and advised me to yelp for a good one. I WAS SO GLAD I DID! I found this place, Endodontics and Microscopy. The reviews are REAL. 5 stars it is! Believe me, I got good dental insurance and I called up a few places. This one was the one place that gave me the fastest appointment and DID NOT RIP ME OFF. The previous ones I called up, said I need to pay $900 out of pocket! Or couldn't give me an appointment until a month later! Sorry for the long story! So when I called this place, I was basically in pain and pretty down because of the previous calls. The receptionist was NICE (sorry I didn't get her name). I explained to her my situation and she got me an appointment a few days later because someone cancelled! I asked her to help me calculate how much I need to pay out of pocket. She was sooo nice in helping me! And asked if they do consultation and treatment same day (previous places wouldn't do it same day so I will be in pain). Fast forward to the day of my appointment. The only complain I have is the location . I do not like the city and I do not feel safe, so I had to make special arrangement to have someone come with me because my appointment is late in the day. Anyways, I got there early, met with the receptionist, waited a little then the assistant took Xrays for me. This was my first time getting root canal so I was a bit nervous. Then I got seated and Dr.Tran came and reviewed the Xray with me. He then also did the "cold" test to confirm which tooth was bothering me. His thoroughness and showing me the Xray gave me confident that I needed the treatment (root canal). Assistant maybe new working with him but she was good too. I liked how they do not let my LIPS dry and very good in "suctioning" ! The only thing I didn't like was when the assistant put the topical for my anesthesia shots she didn't put it one area and Dr. Tran did that area so I felt the two shots . Anyways, the process was very thorough, he stops and takes X-rays to check the steps. I was basically falling asleep the whole time. I wish he was my general dentist, but they are specialists. Overall, I had a great experience! Even after the treatment they messaged me to ask me how I am feeling. Tbh, I did not write this review until now, a week later because I wanted to really confirm my root canal was done right first. Sorry again for the long review, but if you are looking for a good root canal treatment, this is the place to go! If I do feel anything wrong with my root canal, I will update this review. But hopefully I do not need to. Now I am still searching for a general dentist to help me do my crown. read more

I can't save enough good things about Dr Ma and his team! To start the staff is incredible friendly, professional, and really care about their patients. As for Dr. Ma, I instantly felt so comfortable talking to him, explaining everything to him, and even joking with him. When he asked me if I had any questions, I felt like he actually wanted to hear my questions and address them. Not rushed at all. As for the actual root canal procedure, it was flawless! To start, Dr Ma explained everything to me including best and worst case scenarios regarding what he is looking for once he could see inside. I told him I'm a wimp when it comes to pain and that Novocain wears off really quickly on me, so he gave me extra right from the being. He actually listens! Then as the proceeder was taking place he made sure to let me know how far along we were...for example half way, 75%, almost finished..which I really appreciated. The procedure was totally painless and quick! Lastly, as the Novocain was already starting to wear off while I was in the waiting room post procedure I really started to feel some pain. The staff was very nice in checking up on me and Dr Ma himself even came back out to check up on me and let me know if will get better. And he was right, the pain soon went completely away! Dr Ma even personally called me the next morning to check up on me and make sure I was properly healing! I just think that gives this Endodontist's office a real personal touch. I wish I could come to Dr Ma and his awesome team for all of my dental needs. read more

I found Dr. Nessari after another endodontist botched my root canal. After I had continual pain for months, the other endodontist told me that the root was probably cracked and I would have to get my tooth extracted. After seeing his amazing reviews on Yelp, I decided to go to Dr. Nessari for a second opinion. Dr. Nessari scanned my tooth with his 3D X-ray and discovered that the first endodontist missed some of the roots. He was able to perform a second procedure on the tooth, which completely got rid of my pain. It has now been several years since the procedure and the tooth is still pain free. Needing a root canal during a pandemic is a little more stressful than needing one during any other time but Dr.Tran and his staff were great. I found them after looking on Yelp for an endodontist after having a not so great consultation somewhere else. They were able to have me come in for a consult quickly and were actually able to start my root canal the same day, which was perfect because I'm one of those people who will avoid a procedure and push it back until the last possible chance. This was my first root canal and I was shocked how painless my root canal was! Root canals always have a bad reputation so I was really nervous about the pain but the staff helped me feel calm before,during, and after my procedure. The staff even put on my preferred music on Spotify during the root canal which was really nice. Dr.Tran was great at explaining the procedure and answering my questions. I had a terrible root canal as a child with another dentist so I was extremely anxious when I found out that I had to get another one. Dr Nesari changed everything. Right from the beginning his caring and gentle demeanor calmed me down. The procedure itself was painless and surprisingly fast. About a year later, I thought I was feeling sensitivity in the tooth and Dr Nesari brought me in for a free consult. He experimented with blowing cold air on that tooth and the ones around it and determined that it was actually the tooth beside my root canal that was bothering me. Then he actually walked out of his office and down the hall to my regular dentist's office with me and told them exactly which tooth it was so that I could get it filled by my regular dentist. I was referred to Dr. Nesari by my Dentist after extreme pain that my Dentist couldn't identify. Dr. Nesari found cracks in my teeth with his microscope and the tooth was infected. The pain had been bad for 2 weeks and unbearable for the last couple of days. Dr. Nesari identified the problem and performed the root canal that day. His staff was friendly and caring as was Dr Nesari. He is funny, friendly, gentle and caring. They even uploaded my favorite spotify playlist to play during the procedure. Dr. Nesari is a man of myths. His professionalism and the overall quality of everything in his office is exceptional. His support staff are kind, warm, and make me feel like we could be friends even though we've never met. The memory-foam padding on the seats was emblematic of the thoughtfulness that went into my experience. For a woman like me, coming from a negative dental experience with my previous dentist, my entire experience with Dr. Nesari was tantamount to a miracle. They were able to fit me in that very same day I called. I came laden with pain after sleeping sitting up for 5 nights, so I had little patience. But wonder of wonders the check-in procedure was a dream of paperless offices everywhere using only a single iPad from start to finish. The consultation went just as I hoped, he was able to discern my problem quite concisely and set about to help me understand why I was hurting and how he could help. He drew a beautiful, thoughtful sketch for me which really helped me create a visual understanding of the pain and how I can prevent it in the future. Even though I came in anxious, Dr. Nesari's warm and genuine bedside manner served to calm me without a second thought. When it came time to hear how much it would cost, my insurance didn't cover most of my root canal, so his assistant was helpful in creating a two-payment plan to help spread out the cost ever so slightly in addition to a small discount which took the edge off. This made a huge difference in my ability to afford what I needed, and I appreciate it! During the procedure I was thoroughly numbed and entertained by pleasant conversation between the doctor and his assistant. Not the tense, silent sound of a scary dental procedure, but almost like sitting amongst friends while eating dinner at a barbecue. Wonderous! After the procedure was done, I was given thoughtful envelopes that held each dose of his recommended combination of OTC pain meds. Both Dr. Nesari himself and one of his office assistants texted/called to check in on me over the next 24 hours. Just finished Part 2 of my procedure and received a kind recommendation for a dentist to finish with a crown. Even though I wish this could be a one stop shop, I was thankful Dr. Nesari took on the root canal challenge when my previous dentist's next step was pulling the tooth. Highly recommend coming to this office if you need to get your root canal! I was in excruciating pain the night before and I could not sleep. I messaged the business around 1:00 am. The next morning, I received a call and they were able to squeeze me in 11:00 am that same day. During shelter-in-place, most businesses are still close or not operating. Not Dr. Nesari and his team. I had a tooth infection and needed an appointment ASAP. After getting a referral from Dr. Tanega, I called to leave a message and received a text back same day. Evelyn took my information immediately and everything was done electronically. When I walked in no time was wasted. Dr. Nesari was thorough with explaining options to saving my tooth. Kendra was gentle with assisting the whole process. It took a long time and I needed a second visit but they were patient and made sure I'm feeling comfortable. Can't say thank you enough to such a great team.
