During the coldest night of the year an auger stopped working on my pellet stove. I assumed I would not get service for a few days. Two weeks later the technician, who was very nice, came and told me I would need a new auger. He called me back from shop to say it could be 2 weeks before it would be in as they don't carry inventory (in this day and age that is understandable). I asked if they could expedite shipment and I would pay the added cost. As is on my bill it was expedited and I was charged for it. Unfortunately they were not able to come back out for another 7 days. In the meantime I am using electric heaters for my apartment. Technician comes and now we need a new control board. Of course this needs to be ordered. 2 more weeks go by and I finally get my pellet stove back. However I am charged for all items. How do I know it was not just the control board to begin with, and why do I have to pay expedited freight while service was not expedited! I think Energysavers is like everyone else , low on help but are not willing to work with locals and cater to rich lake folks, lucky for them. Currently my stove is not working again and I will purchase a new one next year from another company. Energysavers could have worked with me and had a sale. Poor customer service. read more

Having bought a two season cottage and wanting to make it year round, we had hoped to use the old stone fireplace. Unfortunately, the flue was not safe and the old fire box rotted out. We chose a top of the line gas insert that would heat the house and look attractive. Ryan was very helpful and guided us to the right sized and efficient unit. Energy Savers Inc. -- Meredith, NH We purchased in 2019 a Jotul gas insert from Energy Savers in Meredith for a seasonal home in Belmont, NH and their staff did a great job guiding us through the selection process and completing the installation. The insert works great and we have been very pleased with it. In mid-2020 we had a minor problem with the unit and contacted their Service group to come resolve it. Both Steve, the Service Manager and Joe, a Senior Technician did an excellent job in assessing and resolving our issue, explaining what caused the problem and handling a warranty parts claim with Jotul. Ordered a Gas Fireplace Insert and Pellet Stove back in September 2020. I understand the delay with Covid 19 but given the cost of nearly spending $13,000, I thought they would be more accommodating with our new construction and fit us into their schedule prior to winter. We have been given nothing but a runaround and Nate could care less that our house has been on hold to get insulated and to have the heat installed and not blowing out our heat until their piping gets installed for our Gas fireplace insert. If we had to do it all over again I would never have gone here! Nate can do plenty of estimates for jobs but when it comes down to actually getting the work done, you'll be put on hold and waiting forever! We're still waiting for an install? On Sunday, December 6th we were told we were only 3 jobs out before our house would be next! Never realizing it would take another month to do 3 jobs before we could be placed on their schedule sometime in January! They could care less, they're quick to get you to deposit the money, but you'll be waiting forever to get what you paid for! read more

We had a good experience with Energy Savers. We wanted to upgrade our fireplace insert with a woodburning stove. Shopped at ES first, but continued to shop around for comparison. Ended up using Energy Savers since they had the model we wanted/needed. The owner, Steve, spent a lot of time with us explaining the process of installation. Gave us, what we feel was a fair price on the unit fully installed. The two guys who came out to install it were great. Very professional, courteous, and friendly. Left our house spotless. Did a beautiful job on the installation. Didn't leave until they were certain we were happy with the install and unit. Would have given them 5 stars but there was a slight scheduling/ordering snafu. That was resolved quickly, so no harm done. We would totally recommend Energy Savers without hesitation. read more

I am so impressed with the customer service I received her at Energysavers. My daughter recently moved to Meredith and made a mistake on a pellet stove for her house. She is physically disabled and it would not have been possible for her to manage the pellets. After I explained to the team - Nick & Ryan - at Energysavers they returned her cash refund to me with absolutely no hesitance even though invoice stated you could not cancel. I purchased a hot tub from Energy Savers three years ago. They opened it each spring and winterized it each fall. This fall I paid them to winterize the tub. This spring I found it had apparently a broken pipe due to water having been left in it over the winter. I called Energy Savers who came out and said I should have put plywood and a tarp on the tub. NO ONE HAD TOLD ME THIS. I think they had left water in the tub last fall. $2500 they said to fix it. They accept NO RESPONSIBILITY for the tub even though they were paid to "winterize it. Our experience was less then stellar. We had them come out to take measurements, we had a contractor working on our house the guy talked to the contractor, but not me I even went outside and he got in his car and left. We then ordered our gas fireplace and told the sales guy we wanted it piped through the roof, he said they would have to charge us to go out through the wall and when it gets installed we would be charged more but that cost was unknown. The day the fireplace was supose to come in we recieved no phone call, my husband eneded up calling them and everytime they said they would have someone call us back nobody ever did. Finally over a week after the fireplace was set be there they finally had it. We re-explained that we wanted it piped through the roof, they said they didnt have everything for that because it says on the invoice through wall. They had to send someone out again to take measurements (maybe they should have acknowledged me the first time they were here?) they then called to tell us that to pipe the fireplace through the roof we would have to remove the pre-existing pipe, board up the roof, shingle it so they could come out and cut another hole in the roof. At this point we had to find someone to close up the roof and opted to just have them go through the wall ( who really wants a hole patched up to put another hole right through the middle of it?) Finally we were at the point to have our fireplace installed the light at the end of the tunnel was getting brighter! However when the 2 guys came to install I saw the light getting dim since they had to constantly ask us to use our tools... really you install these all the time and dont have the right tools for the job? And constantly checking the manual to make sure you are doing it correctly really took away my convidence they were competent. They left saying fireplace was ready just needed to hook up to propagne, never showed us how to use it. We had our propagne company come out to set up our tank and finally turn on our stove!! All excited propagne company said they just had to test the line and they would be able to sign off on their job. Go inside drumroll please..... fireplace doesnt work. Propagne company and my husband were going through the manual to try to find out what the issue may be as I kept calling Energysavers and nobody was answering the phone. Finally they picked up and asked if they propagne was on the propagne company guys laughed, Energy savers had us try a couple of things still nothing. Energysavers said they could get a tech out to look at the fireplace in a week. After bitching and asking for the owner ( who wasnt going to be in until monday- this was on a friday) we called back and told them to call the owner and have him call us, he did and came out the next day. The owner came out tried to figure out was wrong, he was checking out the wiring diagram cut his hand bled on our floor. My husband finally noticed the issue that the fireplace was mis-wired. Now we have a functioning fireplace. If the owner hadnt come out the next day I would have given them ZERO stars - I would not recommend this company to anyone ever. read more
