At some point during her procedure, after already numbing her, he and his assistant took a 45 min lunch break leaving her in the chair. When they came back her anesthesia had already worn off, which she mentioned to them but the disregarded. They proceeded with the procedure and their breath reeked of Taco Bell. The crown they put on her tooth looks and feels jagged. It is painful and she can't bite down. She said this to the dentist and he shrugged it off. The only after care instructions he gave to her was to not eat steak. No education on pain management or anything. The price tag was also much higher than we have experienced elsewhere. I tried to keep her close to home to ease her anxiety and time involved but it was NOT worth it. The front desk staff was very nice and helpful. Hopefully they will make this right, but I'm not hopeful. *** As an update to my situation from over a week ago things have gotten worse. I was hopeful that things would be made right as the offered a refund for the terrible services that they provided. Not only have we not received the refund, they billed our insurance so now we don't have any insurance benefit remaining to move forward with another provider to get it fixed. Not only that but we specifically called and asked if that dentist was in our united healthcare network and they said YES. This was in fact not the case. It was billed as OUT OF NETWORK. So the cost is insane. Not only will we be filing a grievance with the state, we will also be reporting to United Healthcare and the ADA.

Additionally, I have difficulty laying prone for any length of time, the staff and the endodontist seemed puzzled by this, and frankly exhibited a little impatience with my need to keep my back elevated to relieve pressure on my hips, which are severely arthritic. I understand that they need access to my mouth, but I can't be in excruciating pain during the procedure, either. The endodontist went right in with the shot, no gum swab to numb up the area first, and said they don't do that for this procedure. Every other root canal in my life was preceeded by the gum swab, so I was puzzled by this. When he got in there, he was pretty rough, pressure on my front teeth for leverage and a fair amount of pinching the cheek. I will say he was damn quick about it, and shortly after he was done, the regular dentist put my crown on. All in all, I was fairly discombobulated by the whole experience, and I don't think I'll be coming back.

Of course, they offer free consultations, which means I could spend an hour to so out of my schedule to find out their prices were 20k, who knows. My time is precious, as well as theirs, so why waste everyone's time? That comes across as very unprofessional, and I am sure they won't miss my business, but you should know what you are dealing with.

Having a mouthful of overcrowded teeth for most of my life, I had already endured a great deal of gum health issues - some of my own making, but many due to the severe overcrowding. Over the course of 9 months, I interviewed with 2 other local orthodontists and although they were both great (each made sure to tell me how great they were) and I was confident that they would have done a wonderful job taking care of my teeth, I was still hesitant. Thankfully, as the old saying goes, third time's the charm. I made my way to Longmont Braces and before I even left the initial consult with Dr. Stephanie Ross, I knew that she would be the one I would entrust with my braces journey. She is confident and extremely intelligent, but without an ounce of pretension in her explanations or presence. I have witnessed her demeanor with patients of all ages, from young children to elderly, and have always been so impressed with her laid back approach. In addition, behind every great doctor is the team, and what an awesome team they are! From the moment my treatment started, I have been amazed by how this group works so closely together and makes each visit comfortable and pleasant even under circumstances that may not predispose you to that sort of experience. I scheduled my cleaning 6 months ago and took the day off of work but just called to cancel due to the technician having a family emergency. I understand life happens but now they can't see me till May!!! Seriously!! Nayeli the lady who called me was rude and acted like she didn't care. She needs to get customer service training!! Last week when I tried scheduling an appointment for my husband they kept hanging up on me which they said was due to phone issues. Which again I can understand however, I called back a third time and they took my phone number and said they would call back but they never did. When I called back they said oh well what can I help you with. SERIOUSLY!!!! Again, I love the dentist but the rest of the office needs training! Avoid them till they get new people or training!
