Let me first start by saying that as a healthcare provider I am appalled by their billing practices. They quoted me over $5,000 for several procedures and were quick to shove care credit in my face to get a loan. Halfway through all the procedures they told me I needed I got a second opinion and was told I only needed 1200 worth of work that they quoted 5,000 for! Also, I was extremely pressured to get a procedure with their oral surgeon that ultimately was not covered by my delta dental insurance because it was not medically necessary!! They did the exact same thing to my 19yo daughter who was told she needed 12 cavities filled and it would be $4,000. She left and went back to her pediatric dentist who told us she only needed two cavities filled and it would be $105 total. Please, please please get a second opinion before agreeing to pay! They over charge and guilt you into procedures that are not indicated! I am not sure how they can live with themselves charging people this way and taking advantage of people in pain! My daughter saw Dr Ancion today for a broken tooth. She is already very nervous about going to the dentist. Dr A didn't even introduce himself to her. He was cold not gentle at all. At some point during her procedure, after already numbing her, he and his assistant took a 45 min lunch break leaving her in the chair. When they came back her anesthesia had already worn off, which she mentioned to them but the disregarded. They proceeded with the procedure and their breath reeked of Taco Bell. The crown they put on her tooth looks and feels jagged. It is painful and she can't bite down. She said this to the dentist and he shrugged it off. The only after care instructions he gave to her was to not eat steak. No education on pain management or anything. The price tag was also much higher than we have experienced elsewhere. I tried to keep her close to home to ease her anxiety and time involved but it was NOT worth it. The front desk staff was very nice and helpful. Hopefully they will make this right, but I'm not hopeful. *** As an update to my situation from over a week ago things have gotten worse. I was hopeful that things would be made right as the offered a refund for the terrible services that they provided. Not only have we not received the refund, they billed our insurance so now we don't have any insurance benefit remaining to move forward with another provider to get it fixed. Not only that but we specifically called and asked if that dentist was in our united healthcare network and they said YES. This was in fact not the case. It was billed as OUT OF NETWORK. So the cost is insane. Not only will we be filing a grievance with the state, we will also be reporting to United Healthcare and the ADA. read more

I had a filling last fall. They told me it was a small cavity. However, I had a flare up over the weekend and went to an urgent care. While there, a nice informative dentist showed me the scans of the filling and the Reunion dentists failed to communicate with me that it was a deep filling that would agitate the nerve. They also didn't use a medicated filling, and when I went back to Reunion twice over the year, they said it was just a bite issue. This failed communication is alarming, especially for someone who has never had teeth issues in the past. The urgent care dentist even said that's really poor medical service. Do not recommend going here. There needs to be serious conversations there about how to not have this happen again, because it's unacceptable. read more

No No No! They charged my card before any service is complete, they will schedule you with multiple dentists and recommend the most costly service, what one dentist could complete they schedule you with multiple providers for one service (to up charge I assume?) and there's more but you get the point. I went here out of convenience as it's in my neighborhood and I should have done more research I won't go into the nightmare of the up charges and them not being able to correct charges to my care credit card or give reference to what they charged my insurance or specifically what was charged as when I brought it up they refunded me but only partially and still could not clearly explain what happened. I believe they were confused as I was told repeatedly that someone would call me when I asked for a print out. I didn't realize most of this until it was too late and the damage had been done. Let alone I was scheduled and rescheduled multiple times due to a contracted provider not showing for multiple reasons. The only way I realized I was being charged for services not performed was that I work in healthcare management and knew who to go to for utilization review. I also was charged conflicting amounts on 2 cards. One of the cards was done mistakingly while I was in the chair. I called multiple times to get a clear answer and print out of services and was put off. I finally disputed the charges and am letting the bank do the research. I just want to be done with this place. Going to the dentist is already a highly stressful thing for me and this made it much much much worse. I hope this helps someone reconsider as it wasn't just the money/card issues, the multiple times I was rescheduled and scheduled even up to the morning of, the headache and miscommunications and feeling like I was getting taken advantage of. My toothache had been hurting me for two days and they told me to go to the er or set an appointment with my doctor due to high blood pressure. I loved my previous dentist but the commute was further for me since they moved locations and I thought I would try something closer, plus my mom recommended this place so I figured I would give them a try. As a first time patient the first visit here was over 2 hours! I will provide the backstory behind this lengthy visit...the dentist examined my teeth and told me that many of them were cracked and that one he would recommend getting a crown. He told me they made them in house and I could get it done same day. The length of explaining why I would need this, how they made them, and explaining the process was so overwhelming. I was never told my teeth were cracked at my previous dentist so this worried me. He also told me I should get a mouth guard and that they make them custom in house and how they are better then purchasing one online. I had also never been told I needed one of these. Then he goes on to clean my teeth and explains every little detail of what he is doing and why...this was thoughtful but so time consuming. Being 36 years old I have had my teeth cleaned many times, I do not care to hear an explanation about it at this point in my life. Next, a consultant person comes in and asks me when I would like to schedule my appointment to get my crown. She goes over the cost and different options and asks if I wanted to do it that day. I was taken back by all of the information so I told her I wanted to schedule another time. Paid for my visit and never went back. Fast forward to 6 months later and I went back to my old dentist. They cleaned my teeth and everything was fine. I asked them about the cracked teeth and needing a crown and they said they didn't see anything wrong with my teeth and that they would not recommend a crown. They said over time teeth can crack from normal ware and tare but that mine looked fine. Fast forward another 6 months and I moved out of state and had to get a new dentist. Same experience with them as I had with my old dentist, no issues, no comment about cracked teeth, and no crown. I wanted to write this review to let people know NOT to come to this dentist. They pressure you and over explain things to make you feel like they are looking out for your best interest but really they want your money. My mom recommended this place and when I complained to her about my visit she said they told her the exact same things were wrong with her, she ended up buying a mouth guard and getting a crown. If you do go here, I would suggest going to another dentist for a second opinion before committing to their sales pitches. read more

EDIT: Now they're charging my card without my authorization, leaving my over drafted without money. Not only will I have to dispute this with my bank, but now I am going to report them to the Colorado dental board. This is absolutely disgusting and unprofessional. DO NOT GO HERE!!! Like others have said, I too was a victim of this dentist office's bait and switch practices. They tried to tell me that none of my insurance covered the exams which isn't true. I confirmed with my insurance that it does indeed cover 100% of all of the procedures the dentist performed, it's just that the dentist double charged, triple charged, and even QUADRUPLE charged 4x for the same service. A new patient appointment here costs $1,700 for example. My insurance annual max is $1500 so now I am stuck without dental care for a year since it is new insurance. They also didn't check with my insurance what was covered before hand and somehow got me to pay $500 out of pocket. So total for my new patient appointment was $3,700!!! And no surgical services were performed. This even excluded the proper treatment for gingivitis. They said they did scaling when I still have plaque around my teeth. Outrageous! This place is only out to get your money. Not to help. Now I'm stuck without dental care, bleeding and cracked teeth only days after my dentist appointment because they didn't even do the work they claimed they did. I just saw a new dentist (Samuel Archibald) near Reunion area and highly recommend him and his staff. Very friendly staff, thorough hygienist, and honest dentist. Had a new patient exam, which included several x-rays and standard cleaning that all ran under $400. After inspecting my teeth and the x-rays, Dr. Archibald told me my teeth look great and there's nothing he sees needing work. Last August, Reunion Smiles Dentistry charged $1800 for these same services. They even charged me for items that were never done. During that appointment, Dr. Lee told me I needed a bunch of work done and I left feeling so bad about my teeth and even got more expensive dental insurance though my job because I was anticipating needing a lot of work done. I'm still furious with Reunion Smiles. They are ripping patients off, and in my opinion, Dr. Lee is very incompetent and absent minded. I don't want to see other people go through this. read more

As a Yelper I know that many five star reviews get filtered out, however I just couldn't give four stars and feel good about it. The office just opened Monday and it seems they have already worked thru any "starter" issues that most new businesses have. I was happily greeted by Cheryl at the front desk and promptly met both Doctors McCann and Tobler for a tour of the office. The assistants worked together on my x-rays and it was over quickly. I am new to the area and had a problem area that I confess has been bothering me for a year or so now. Dr. Tobler explained all my options and was prepared to move forward with whatever choice I opted for. I ended up getting two inlays on teeth right next to each other. It was an interesting process and each step was explained to me. I was asked frequently whether I was okay or needed a break. It felt good to have them checking up often. They did a great job staffing this office and I will certainly be recommending Dr. Tobler to friends and neighbors. I'm going to be trying out a new whitening treatment they have and will look forward to my check-up in 6 months. Is was the only time I have been to this dentist and it will be my last. If you are wanted a good dentist then this is not the place.Went for my annual cleaning. Charged for all kinds of extra cleaning. In 51years have never needed all the extra cleaning not paid by insurance. Did extra full mouth X-ray after I told them I did not need it done. They are quick to receive payment from you and automatically "assume" that insurance won't pay for a procedure; but when they are wrong and insurance does pay, expect that it will take weeks at the very least in returning money due back to you. If you've got time and money to waste, this might be the dentist for you. This is one of the worse dentists I have ever been to. The 2 times I have been there, I have waited around for the dentist, sitting in the chair watching tv and getting old, for at least 30 minutes past my appointment time. When you get to talk to the dentist, they want to sell you this expensive new technology and are not interested in basic dentistry. The dentist seemed quite disinterested in doing a basic filling. After waiting for over 40 minutes while the dentist was with someone else, I finally left. The front office guy saw me and when I told him I was leaving because I don't have time to waste while they take care of everyone else, he rudely told his coworker (from across the office) to reschedule me because I was leaving. They treated me like I was inconveniencing them by calling it quits. The next day I got an email saying they had scheduled me for an appointment when I told them as I was leaving that I would call them if I wanted one. The staff for the most part is polite, but this place is like a car dealership. "Buy this service" or "get this shiny new thing." When you tell them no thank you, they still push it. "Next time." Their services are more expensive than specialists. Go to the place down the street, if you live in Reunion. This place is awful. read more

This feels like dealing with a used car dealer except you are trusting them with your mouth. I have been going there for over two years and it has been getting worse and worse. Today it was two hours to get a simple cleaning and they tried to upcharge me almost $800 for a 'deep cleaning'. Today, I walked in and there were two employees helping two patients at the front counter. One of the employees asked me to sit down and she would get to me. I waited 15 minutes while she was working (playing) on her computer. I finally went up and asked her when I could check in. I was the only one in the waiting room so it wasn't like I was hiding in a crowd. After waiting another 15 minutes, I finally got called back. They put me in one room and then moved me to another (not sure what was wrong with 1st room). They don't move the tray/light/etc so you have to try to sneak into the seat. A while later the dentist came in, sat down, looked through some of the X-rays and then walked away to 'get someone to take notes' while he did the exam. A while later he came back alone and did the exam (not sure if anyone put notes in my account). He never did tell me about what he found. Next, in came the Hygienist and she checked my gums - she also didn't have anyone to take notes so she would check a quarter of my mouth and then type in the numbers for each tooth - not sure how she remembered each tooth's measurements. It was also a little disgusting that she would type some numbers then stick her fingers back in my mouth. The keyboard was wrapped in plastic but I doubt they change it after each patient. My gums have been in the 2 - 3 range for years but all of a sudden 75% of my teeth were in the 4 range and SUPRISE, they had a new deep cleaning solution. The Hygienist left and the front office (salesperson) came in and after working on the computer came up with a quote of just under $800 - FOR A DEEP CLEANING. I turned down the deep cleaning because I wanted a second opinion. Finally, the dentist came back and scrapped tartar off my teeth. He just cranked on my teeth. I am not sure where the Hygienist went but the dentist seemed bitter that he had to clean teeth. My 16-year-old son got his teeth cleaned after me and I asked him about the experience and he thought the dentist was 'trying to tear his face apart'. By the end of the appointment, 4 different people tried to 'sell' me on the 'needed' service. Coincidentally, they now have a periodontist on staff (or maybe not coincidentally). There are a bunch of dentists in the Reunion area and I would recommend looking elsewhere - we are. read more

Well where do I start? I been in need of a cleaning for a while now so I decided to make an appointment with this place near my home. Making an appointment was simple and no hang ups. The initial consultation was very impressive to say the least. Anabel explained things to me in a way that I could understand. They showed me pictures of my teeth in color along with digital X-rays while They were working on me. Pretty cool equipment. They showed me what needed to be done in real time. So I agreed and made my next appointment. Upon my return visit they polished, cleaned, re-filled my fillings on one side, that were falling out over the years. From the beginning to the end was the best experience ever at a dentist. I highly recommend ANABEL and the rest of the staff to anyone that needs a dentist. This office is located at 15151 E., 104thAvenue, Unit 10, Commerce City, CO 80022. · Due to a medical condition involving diabetes, following my medical doctor's advice, all of my lower teeth were pulled, and preparations were made for me to have dental implants installed as a replacement for my survival to better health. · Several months later, while still experiencing pain and suffering from the "temporary" dental implant, that broke and left me with an exposed screw in my mouth, also rendering me unable to speak clearly, eat properly, sing or smile. (All things I enjoyed prior to the dental surgery.) · This so-called professional install was rendered by Dentist Dr. John Justus, who ultimately proved he cared less about my dental health and getting the broken implant repaired and more about money for himself and his contracted dental practice. - · And due to the incompetency of the office management and staff of REUNION DENTAL CARE, (2.1 miles away), t (1) my permanent teeth were never installed as they were lost by the nonchalant attitudes, and carelessness between the offices and the laboratory. (2) shut down my then current billing access, (without cause other than to cover up the fact that they lost the teeth that were to be installed) (3) then attempted to have me pay for another set of the permanent implant by claiming I had to pay my account in full prior to them fixing the implant, the inferior product that broke! · I refused to pay in full for a product I did not receive, the fact the temporary was inferior and broke, and.... · They kept over $5,000.00 of my money which was paid on the account to which they e wanted me to pay in full in the amount of $16K which was the total cost of the permanent teeth that were never installed. · Finally, they ignored me, completely, would not service the broken implant. AND. that is when I went to REUNION SMILES DENTISTRY Unfortunately, the supporting Reunion Smiles Dentistry could not help me due to the damage caused by Reunion Dental Care and recommended due to the necessary extensive work that I to to "Clear Choice" for prosthetic dental implants as a resolution. I went here for a routine cleaning. I will never, ever be back. I was shocked when Dr.Tobler told me I needed 3 root canals. I brush my teeth twice a day and floss regularly. The rest of the appointment was uncomfortable. They were pushy on extra treatments, and the whole thing felt very "salesy". I decided to go down the street for a second opinion. Guess what? I need NO root canals. As a matter of fact, one of the teeth I "needed" a root canal on didn't even have a miniscule cavity on it. They were going to charge me $4000 (with insurance) and kill 3 of my perfectly healthy teeth for no reason at all. Pretty fishy, if you ask me. I I actually stopped in the office to check on the special of $59(cleaning and exam)to ask what the catch was and was assured it was a cleaning and exam to new patients. I made an appointment for the next week. I arrived at my appointment time of 1 pm. I was asked to sign something that it was ok for the Dentist to examine my teeth and make recommendations, I thought this was strange isn't that why I was at the office.Waited just a few minutes and after watching an upset patient who was obviously in pain have some sort of exchange with the Dentist( Dr. Tobler) the dentist then took me back to a room and on the way I mention the other patient was not having a very good day to which he replied"glad I don't have to put up with that." Made me wonder what he would think of me. Then another strange procedure, the dentist started an examination and for all my 70 years of going to any dentist, I have always had X rays, cleaning, and then the Dentist comes in and does an exam looks at the X-rays and gives recommendations. Of course he immediately seen a problem. By the way I was not having problems I just wanted a cleaning., that was all. So then the dentist says the assistant would do X-rays. I had told them I have a bad gag reflex, he had told me that we could do digital ones. So the young assistant tells me we are doing bite wings and when I asked why, recalling what he had told me, she replied this is what the dentist wants, when I protested she did the digital ones and then came at me with bite wing, I gave in and tried twice and was very humiliated when I gaged them out twice. Back to the exam room and sit and wait, still no cleaning. The dentist came back in after 15 or 20 minutes and finished the exam(I guess). When he got to the back of my mouth he held the instrument as I am gagging he hesitated to get the number in measuring gum health, it was like he was fishing for a number to make it look bad. Then he used some sort of freeze spray to test nerves, when I didn't react to the freeze, he told me I should have reacted and sprayed the piece of cotton again and pressed it very hard on my tooth and held it, of course it hurt then. So now we start the selling part of the visit telling me all these things are wrong and they don't fill teeth they put crowns on them. He kept asking me if I wanted him to explain the process. I said I would listen to what he had to say, so he explains I would need a root canal and a crown. Of course I would. Now I am 70 years old and have no insurance. By the way I only wanted my teeth cleaned, we are at about an hour and 1/2 and I am still in this room. I asked him what this would cost and the sales girl came in with her computer to show just how generous they could be, but you had to spend another $110 dollars to get this really big $300 discount out of $3000, but keep in mind you have now spent 110 more dollars if you take the "deal". When she finally realized this wasn't going to happen, she slams the computer shut and says I will tell them you just want the regular cleaning! I almost forgot he wanted to do deep cleaning because 2 of my teeth had poor numbers at the gum. I am starting to get a little concerned as I need to pick up my grandson at 330 and I am about 25 minutes away from the school. I am trying to get ahold of my husband to pick him up, but to no avail.When the assistant came back in I ask her if I could get the cleaning done as it is about 240, so she goes and checks comes back and said the hygienist can't get to you until after 3, this would make it 2 hours and still no cleaning and if the cleaning takes 20 to 30 minutes we are talking 2 and 1/2 hours for an exam and cleaning! I have NEVER spent that much time for a cleaning and exam. By the way the dentist, who by now I have no trust in and have come to the conclusion this is a modern day version of "bait and switch, sticks his head in and says I should have expected an hour and 1/2 to 2 hours, to which I disagreed. I had kept trying to get a hold of my husband to go get our grandson, but to no avail so by 250pm I left WITHOUT A CLEANING so I could go get my grandson. As I walked out the door they tried to give me a gift, which I declined. I guess I feel sorry for the staff who feel it necessary to work for someone like this. I called and there was just a little attitude coming from the doctor who miswrote the script. They ended up calling the pharmacy and fixing it but really? At first glance, it appears to be a great place to get your teeth cleaned. That is until the "office manager" comes in to sell you on the services the dentist recommends. Not only did they try to up charge my preventative care (which is covered by my insurance), but they tried to sell me on work they deemed necessary that they could do right then and there. When I declined all services except for the cleaning, I was rushed through the cleaning process. In an article written by the dentist (McCann) she admitted that it is not worth her time to provide "free cleanings". Went in one day for a toothache (which btw they got me in the next day) and found out it was my wisdom teeth that had a big cavity. They were really polite and explained all their findings. I obviously had to get my wisdom teeth out and I got scheduled for two weeks out and in that same visit they were able to give me a filling. Most of the time when a facility goes over insurance with you it's like the grown ups on Charlie Brown. It doesn't make any sense. They explained it in a way that I could understand without feeling like a complete idiot and I really appreciated that. My wisdom teeth removal went smoothly and it was only about a 40 minute visit. ( I don't remember my husband told me haha) they explained after care to him and I'm still standing so they did a great job ;) All in all I hated Dentist appointments but they made it seem less scary and I couldn't ask for anything more. Will be back for my cleaning in a few months! read more
