I'm not sure about the other negative reviews but I had an awesome experience here today. I came in as first time patient for an exam, X-rays, and cleaning. I thought the lady at the front desk was friendly and helpful. I only had to wait 2 minutes after filling out paperwork to be seen. I had a good time chatting with the dental assistant and was very good at doing the X-rays. The cleaning was not painful and the doctor was very informative and friendly. I know many people despise going to the dentist but I had a positive experience here. I served in the Army and trust me people, try enlisting and going to the dentist. You might not be complaining so much then! It's amazing how rude people can be by the sounds of the other reviews. A lot of you sound entitled and have it too easy! read more

I highly recommend not going to this dental practice based on my personal experience. I experienced significant pain following my treatment and did not feel that my concerns were adequately addressed when I reported them. I was later hospitalized and required additional treatment, which was a frightening and difficult experience for me. This review reflects my own personal experience and opinion. Absolute butchers. They did not fix my issues they created new ones. They failed to remove all the damaged parts of my teeth. Then they spackled incomplete fillings over the top. The fillings have been coming out in chunks ever since with simple flossing. Lots of pain. The worst dentists I have ever visited. I have to have all their work redone. read more

0/5. I will not be returning. First of all, I was called to reschedule my appointment to one hour earlier. I show up and they are running behind?? I sat in the lobby for 12 minutes before getting called back only to sit and wait for the dentist until nearly 40 minutes AFTER my scheduled appointment. I had to ask the staff several times how much longer even though THEY rescheduled MY appointment. The hygienist next to me was coughing the entire time. The dentist claimed my previous x-rays were "blurry" and he couldn't tell anything from the X-rays which is an actual joke. They did a "polish and floss" which took maybe 3 minutes and that was it. I will never return and I recommend anyone who reads this to avoid this place at all costs. read more

Took my Sister to this location. I accompanied her because she has Alzheimer's and ask me to help her with paperwork and talking to the Dentist. She had broken a crown which needed attention, plus X-rays and a cleaning. She had not been to a Dentist for 4 years. The first contact was good, Lupita did the x-rays. Dr. Yoon came in and looked at tooth with broken crown and x-rays. She said she would look at insurance to see what they would cover. Lupita came back in and began the cleaning with flossing. I then left the room and let them work. About 10 minutes later my Sister came out to the car. She opened the door and I said oh you are done? She said she had walked out of her cleaning. She told me that the experience was horrible. She said she had never had a cleaning that was so uncomfortable. She was continually sprayed with water and she mentioned that and the response was a snicker. The cleaning she said was painful, she said that her gums were being rubbed. She said she told her it was hurting. She couldn't take it anymore and she ask her to stop and she walked out. I went back into the office and ask to see someone about the billing of the insurance. I did not want the insurance billed because she then could not get any other appointment for 6 months. I ask about the $19.00 deal and they let me pay for that. I was thankful for that. I ask if the assistant was new and the cashier said "no not at all" I said ok, I did not know what happened but my Sister was very upset. I just wanted to get her home at that point. I called back to the clinic after I had dropped my Sister back at home. I ask to speak with Lupita, Dr. Yoon got on the phone. I introduced myself again and said I did not know what had happened but my Sister was not coming back. Dr. Yoon said she had done the cleaning and it was a ultrasonic cleaning and yes does have water. She said she had to do that because of the length of time without a cleaning. I mentioned that perhaps explaining what was happening might have helped. Dr. Yoon said she did explain. Well...not being there I cannot say but my guess is that it was very uncomfortable and that my Sister did not fully understand this was a different kind of cleaning or remember what was said. Short term memory loss! Dr. Yoon said she did not express discomfort until she said she was done and walked out. Again who knows what really happened. I cannot imagine my Sister not mentioning discomfort before just walking out! However this was not handled very well. Perhaps if Dr. Yoon would have been better aware of the Alzheimer's this could have been avoided. More consideration and kindness not being so rough on her gums. Ask if the patient is comfortable when you see they are being sprayed. Maybe explaining again, taking breaks to allow water clean up or maybe get better at not spraying the patient at all. Next time I will not leave the room during the cleaning or any work. I will stay to support my Sister and see for myself how she is treated. No one likes to be sprayed with water or have a painful cleaning. I will now be looking for a Dentist! Won't be back to this location. read more

Dr.Lin was amazing! I'm anxious about getting shots and he did an a great job. He was very gentle and my shot was painless. I've had a lot of cavities which required shots but this was my best experience. I'm "that" patient and he put up with my questions and qualms prior to my filling. Highly recommend. read more

Dr tells me he did a bang up surgery. But what dr is going to say they did a bad surgery. Then once done i need to go stand in line to drop off the prescription, Either wait for it or go home and wait for the call. This is a wack place that does not care about the patients. Had a failing root canal with a really bad infection,that needed to have the tooth removed. I was dreading on having this done!! DR. Bonanno removed the tooth within five minutes, didn't feel a thing. I couldn't believe he had the tooth removed that fast . I figured that i was going to be their for at least an hour or so. You are not supposed to leave a dentist crying... yeah its my fault for not doing everything perfect in the brush and flossing category but lets find a solution! It all started with a tooth ache... one that turned in to pain I could not tolerate a moment longer so being the uninsured American I am I looked for an affordable dentist that has a reputation for working with clients and finding solutions! Boy was I off base. The staff was great ... I mean top notch customer service all around. Friendly and smiles all around but the dentist was basically a jerk. I went through the xrays and then was greated by the dentist. He looked through my chart and asked his questions... when he saw I had medicare he pretty much shut down. He told me I had an infection and here are some pills for it. There was nothing else I could do cause Medicare wont cover it... When I asked a question about treatment... I got the answer again.... medicare wont cover it. Do I have cavities? What kind of infection is this? What can I do at home to change this? I got no answers... I got shut down before I could even try. I felt humiliated. Worst trip to dentist ever.... I left tearing up.... and cried in my car all the way to Walgreen's pharmacy to fill my order for pills. Stay away from this place.... unless you have amazing insurance... I am sure they will treat you like a King if you have the right card in your wallet! read more

This place breaks the law. My mother is deaf and had come in to ask for an appointment. She had asked them for an interpreter to be provided for her appointment and they had agreed. She specifically asked for them to provide an on site interpreter, not to provide a VRI, since they are typically not up to code in terms of legal status of what constitutes a VRI (they must have a dedicated high speed bandwidth ). As well as her having to lay down for her appointment, she would be unable to see the interpreter properly. They agreed. When she arrived today for her appointment, she was met with a VRI! Even when she requested for a on site interpreter, when she complained to them, they essentially said too bad and that they have fulfilled their legal duty when that is NOT the case, since the virtual interpreter was choppy and not clear in the first place!! This place is not friendly to deaf people at all and will be hearing from me again. So unprofessional and I hope they get shut down. read more

Wasted so much of my time. I just needed a cleaning. My regular dentist could not get me in for a while due to my schedule. I get my teeth cleaned every 4-5 months. I called this office and they set up an appointment for me. They would not do the cleaning unless they got my x-rays from my regular dentist or they would have to do a full exam and x-rays. Unfortunately my regular dentist did not get the x-rays to them by the appointment, so I rescheduled for 2 days later. My regular dentist emailed them my x-rays and copied me on the email. I get there early for my appointment to make sure everything was set and they say they need my x-rays. I told them to check the email as I know they have them. Receptionist finds them. They take me to the back. The hygenist comes in and says she needs my x-rays. Again I tell her they were emailed. She leaves and finally comes back and says she needs to put them in the computer. After putting them in her computer, she says the dentist needs to come look at them. I waited over 30 minutes for him to finish what he was doing before he comes to look at my x-rays. He tells me he cannot do the cleaning because I need a deep cleaning and he will need to call my regular dentist tomorrow. He was afraid the insurance would not pay for the cleaning if he did a deep cleaning. From the time I arrived, it was an hour of my time wasted and I got nothing done. My daughter goes and they are always giving her full attention and the latest toothbrush. Easily the worst place I've ever been to. I had my wisdom teeth removed at another dental office (they were phenomenal), but I ended up with a dry socket anyways. Over the weekend the pain was absolutely unbearable, so I went to Comfort Dental for some relief. The dental assistant was incredibly rude and told me that the dry socket was infected (it wasn't) and that it was my fault (also not accurate). The dentist came in and saw me for 5 minutes. He, too, was incredibly rude and made snide remarks towards me. The assistant attempted to pack the site with medicine, but did a terrible job and left me bleeding. I left in more pain than when I came in and I was bleeding because the assistant kept poking the surgical site! To top it all off, when I left the receptionist said the cost would be no more than $50. I received a bill for $230! I will absolutely never go back there again! read more

I had an emergency situation and called comfort dental despite reviews because it is close and accepts Medicaid. They got me in right away and handled me with complete care, even making me laugh when it hurt. I had had X-ray done earlier in an expensive office and it took them 5 times to get a picture that never did reveal the infection, these guys did it the old fashion way, in one painless process. Which then clearly showed us what was going on. He sedated my mouth and the staff sedated my soul- ahhhh, the dental experience has never agreed with me. The actual extraction took less than 30 seconds and appointment 30 minutes. A day later, the Doc even called to check in on my recovery! Wow! The doctor and staff actually made it a not so unpleasant experience. read more

I recently had the worst experience at this dental office. First time being here since it is super close to my home, figured it would be easier to go here. I went in for x-rays and a consult on my wisdom teeth, hopefully to be referred to an oral surgeon. I ended up getting x-rays, a cleaning, and a "deep root" cleaning. The deep root cleaning was SO painful and the dentist (Dr. Lin) or the assistant didn't try and reassure me once. I was shaking and physically had to move my face away just so I could get a break from the pain. Literally had tears rolling down my face. It was quiet and just plain awkward. Not one of them tried to talk to me or calm me down through the whole thing. Once finished, I look over and my dentist is gone, no where to be seen. The assistant then goes, "Okay, I can show you out." I'm like what? Isn't the dentist going to talk about what he just did, talk about my x-rays, discuss plans for my wisdom teeth? The ONLY reason I came in in the first place? Nope, nothing. I look over and see him immediately working on someone else. I have never felt more uncomfortable and unsatisfied in my life! I just got my roots drilled into and the dentist isn't even going to speak to me about it? Felt like just another "chain" dentist place. Trying to get as many people done in a day as possible, didn't feel like I was important at all. To finish it off, I left crying as my mouth hurt so bad, dried blood in my gums that I had to clean out later. Just feel horrible. This was truly poor customer service I will never give them my business again. read more

My visit to this office was great!! Fast, friendly and very informative. Lauren especially was amazing! She made me laugh, feel comfortable and had great advice for my situation. Lauren seemed to be very passionate about her work and took the time to explain x rays and answer all my questions. She also went out of her way to call me after my appt with some extremely helpful information. The doctor was nice, professional, handsome, and explained my options, as well as the pros and cons of the procedure really well. If I must get 5 teeth pulled I am glad it is in the care of this staff!! I feel confident and comfortable here and will happily retun and reccomend! read more

Not sure why this place gets such a bad rap, but I almost didn't go because of the bad reviews. I have to say, I experienced nothing but great service from my phone call begging for an emergency appointment to walking out at the end of my same day appt. The lady that answered the phone and that was at the front desk upon my arrival was young, but kind even though I was 5 minutes late when they asked me to be 15 minutes early. As soon as I finished my new client paperwork, I was called back by the hygienist in less than five minutes. Her name was Lou and she was lovely, very fast and professional. They did a full set of x-rays in no time and another hygienist was developing them as Lou was completing them making it very efficient to say the least. They finished developing my x-rays and the doctor was with me in less than 10 minutes total time. He was quick, was willing to do what I needed, but he gave me the option of waiting until next week because I am in so much pain and so inflamed and I chose to wait. I was late and they had all of this done and me out the door and on my way back to work within 30 minutes! I'm not sure about all the negative reviews, but as a small business owner, I know that most people will take time to leave negative feedback a lot more often than people will take the time to leave positive feedback, so that made me more inclined to let you all know that you should give them a chance. I have been absolutely terrified to go to the dentist for about 2 years now, I had a really bad experience the last time I went somewhere, and I went to Comfort Dental yesterday morning for a cleaning and from the moment I booked the appointment my mind was put at ease. The front office staff was extremely welcoming and nice as well as the assistants in the back And Dr. Williams was extremely gentle and comforting. We have used Westminster North Comfort Dental for our family's dental care for several years now. They have always done a good job for us. We have found the dentists and staff to be very good at explaining things and patient with our questions, and above all, we have found them to be honest with us about the dental care we do or do not need. I tried a different Comfort Dental when we moved away from that area, and they told me I needed a lot of fillings that I didn't actually need (I couldn't see the shadows they were pointing out on my x-rays, so got suspicious and went back to the Sheridan dentists for my next check-up- they saw nothing that needed to be filled). I feel ripped off and schemed!!!! They have a promotion for exam and xrays for $19.99. I am insured and I called them to set up an appt. They ask for my insurance and we did not talk about price (me assuming that it is what they are promoting, $20) I get the exam and xrays and walk out not paying, assuming they were gonna charge $20 to me or my insurance as no one said anything to me. I was very wrong. I just got a claim from my insurance saying they are charged $166 and I will be charged $76 from that. I felt very confused. I call Comfort Dental office and they said well you were insured so it costs $166. They said if I was uninsured it would have cost just $20, They said thats just how it goes, you should have asked. WHY SHOULD I ASSUME I WOULD PAY DIFFERENTLY? Its ludicrous and unethical to not let the customer know the cost if it is different than the 10 signs around the lobby and promotion on the website. If I had known this I would have handed them $20 on the spot. Why should I have to ask if this deal is legit or not? Why did they not give any notion that it would cost me more? The receptionist said well if you would have asked then it would have cost that. Are you kidding me?! I need to clarify that you arent ripping me off? I thought I was getting what I paid for by the fast pace in and out average to below average service for $20 but for it to take out of my insurance deductible and I pay $76 is a foul unethical move by this company. I got bad teeth and they could have gotten a couple Gs, now I will take my business elsewhere. DO NOT GO TO THIS PLACE!! Their deals arent even that good in comparison to others. They have horrible customer service, I saw the doc a week later to fill a cavity and she had no recollection of who I was. They are a chain that is below average service with overall shitty rates.
