Frankly, I found her old preschool to be better than this Montessori school. I still believe in Montessori method of learning but the "Montessori" word has be thrown out so easily and quality of "montessori' is not regulated. Just Beware to parents who are interested in sending their kids to a Montessori school. Ask a lot of questions. They charged a lot, but I feel my kid didn't get much out of it. In 3 hours my kid was in school, they went outside to play 2 times, watched a movie, and lunch. Everytime I picked up my kid it was usually a free quiet time, but none of the kids there did Montessori activities. they were reading books. Not that reading books is bad, but I was hoping the kids were more exposed to Montessori learning. According to my kid, they didn't have story time, and singing. After experiencing this, I decided to send my kid back to her old preschool which we loved so much.

I like that the teachers give me plenty of feedback about my daughter's day, how she napped, who she is friends with, what they are learning, etc. This is also one of the least expensive programs in the area, especially for a Montessori school. There are cheaper programs but they are NOT schools, they are just daycares. I want my kid to actually LEARN something!

At first our oldest hated the idea, but they have all the digital add-ons to make it interesting - not as interesting as Halo, but enough to make them want to practice. Which, surprisingly enough they did without prompt. Our biggest hassle was scheduling guitar times and days, but we were also juggling a few other calendar events that had priority. However, we are more 30 for 30 than Glee, so music didn't make the top 5 for our boys. But the basic appreciation was worth the time. The prices were on the extreme side, so we would have found private teachers on our own schedule had we continued. But if you want the whole package - great teachers, fun & safe environment, quick walk to groceries, summer musicals, etc - this is the place.

This meant my daughter had one instructor during the majority of the day and only 3 other infants max. We first enrolled in Feb/ March of 2014 when our daughter was just over 2 months old while I transitioned back to work part-time. 2) The day I met Miss Elizabeth, the primary infant instructor, I was sold. She is warm, calm and grounded. The Director at the time had worked there for I believe 16 or so years and now had his children attending which spoke volumes to us and still does. Our daughter has spent the last year growing with 3 other amazing children, only a month or so apart. Not to mention the few kiddos who are a little older that she watched grow up and has now joined as a "wobbler". The staff works extremely hard to be supportive of each other and it shows; they are truly a family. We do not think we could be more impressed by the dedication of Pattie and Darcy as they have been with Kids Campus for many years, (you can ask them how many... we know; yet you should inquire if you are interested). Kris was always welcoming and friendly on the earliest mornings and made it so easy that when we had to take our daughter in early there was no worries to be had. Mrs. Margarita has been the primary instructor for the "wobblers". She is so energetic, expressive and passionate about the children's growth, development and care. Kids Campus Tigard staff and children attending have been an extended part of our family for some time. We don't believe we could find a better experience anywhere else. The campus is kept clean during the day and cleaned in the evening- no harsh chemicals or smells. I have seen the teachers act appropriately when they handle children's outbursts or behavior; often talking to the children and asking them about their frustration(s) while separating them from other children to alleviate any disruptions. We are forever grateful for the trust and care of our daughter and the extended family we found. We hope you also find yourself so lucky to become a part of this extended family. They have been so accommodating to my schedule and the kids absolutely love their days at this school. If I could give a 6 star rating I would. There are some days that I pick them up and they are bummed to leave. The learning curriculum is top-notch as well. I trust every teacher there and I know they want the best for my kiddos. The staff were kind, dedicated, and many of them had been there for years. Now, more than a decade later, my grandchildren are attending the same school, and it's amazing to see so much has stayed the same in the best possible way. The same owners and director are still there, and I still see many familiar faces when I pick up my grandchildren from time to time. That kind of consistency speaks volumes. Learning Years is truly a special place. The care they show for the children and families is genuine, and it's clear that their top priority is always the well-being of the kids.
