Incredible taglierini with butter, parmigiano, and truffles -- as good or better as any we had in Piedmont over the summer. Gnochetti wkth squid ink was good but I'd get something else next time. My wife loved her wine tasting.

Do not miss this spot. Located across from Palazzo Pitti, this place has a great view, great ambiance, great wine, and great food. We've visited multiple times, on multiple trips. We basically treated the enoteca as our headquarters this trip, convening there at least once a day to solidify plans (and have wine & bites, of course!). The staff is extremely friendly and well informed. They were invaluable when it came to recommendations, leading us in the right direction daily. We can't wait to go back!

Spending time here was a highlight of our trip to Florence. Knowledgeable and friendly staff, delicious wine and the most relaxing atmosphere after navigating the tourist mobs. We did not order any food only stopped here for wine and cheese plate.

This place is a massive bait and switch scam. While there's no doubt their wines in enoteca are super good, their business model is to get 2-3 of those amazing ones from the producers you can absolutely enjoy; but that's the bait. The scam is that's all they have to sell. Or can sell by law. They then try to sell you a subscription to their wine club where you assume based off what you tasted you will buy a similar quality of wine; I've been a member a few years and the wines they ship are garbage. That's the switch. When you go back to the store to buy more of the good wine, they claim they can't sell them. You can only drink a bottle there because that's all they have, the good stuff is used to lure you in to sell you the garbage later; so do not join their wine club. Per their email, you will not get what you tasted. They admit this too if you email them.

This continues to be my go-to place when I am in Florence. The food is always good, the ambiance is cool, and the people are awesome - of course don't forget the wines, too! Once you pick what you would like to eat (mind you, everything tastes great) they will suggest a matching wine for you. I was here 7 years ago (for the first time), 5 years ago, then now...and one of the owners: Zeno remembered me! Thanks for the great experience again! You can buy wine after you tasted. Also they will bubble wrap for you if you plan to bring back.

If you are into wine this place is a must visit. I actually can't say enough about this place... the service, the food and the wine are all spectacular! Reservations are certainly necessary because the place is pretty small and will get filled up everyday. If you go for lunch, they have a 35 euro per person tasting menu that included five or six courses all with distinct wine pairings. It's a steal! And let's be clear that any wine on their menu doesn't get there by accident... each one is hand selected for the quality or the uniqueness based on what they're serving it with that day. The food was some of the best we had in Florence, but the personality and outgoing nature of the hospitality made the place truly 5 stars. It should be on your short list of must do spots in Florence. Pro tip: if you happen to be dining alone... they have three bar stools inside at the main bar and one stool is almost always open anytime day or night. Hop on the bar, elevate your day... Thank me later!

The Brunello de Montalcino. I mean... why not??

This is just a very special place. I've visited on multiple trips to Florence, multiple times. In each case, even the glasses of wine are treated as if they are something unique, to be discussed and savored with whoever your well-informed waiter happens to be. The food is also delicious. We especially enjoyed the Burrata with anchovies and capers on warm cornbread, and the delicious chicken liver pate on the local toasted Fiorentine bread. Also... Drink Vermentino... whenever possible!!

I read a lot of recommendation and made reservation for my first night in Florence. It's a cute place, only few tables and we sat outside enjoying the summer breeze. The food was ok but not amazing.

Went for wine tasting with my boyfriend, his sister and her boyfriend after seeing it randomly on a map. We just did a bubbles flight, but it was delicious and the staff was highly knowledgeable! We even ended up purchasing one of the wines we tried to have again later that evening. Service was a tad slow - but in Italy that's to be expected and embraced! Did not try the food, but it looked good.

Wine lovers dream! This place is a must for your casual wine enthusiast or hardcore wine travel explorer. They have a deep list of Chianti Classico dating from the early 1900's on. These are wines stored properly and not available any place else in this quantity. The food is excellent. The staff is excellent. Be warned this is a wine bar and they do not take kindly to customers interested in food only.

If you're a huge fan of wine and cheese like I am, you must try this place. It was already on my list to visit before even getting to Florence but I was convinced to try it even more when my Airbnb guy recommended it as well. The place is located in the Pitti piazza, so you get to sit outside and get a nice view of the Pitti piazza. Don't follow the gps completely as the direction will take you further out then where it is, so keep an eye out for the name of the restaurant (also hard to find), but it's only few restaurants back from where the gps takes you. Now let's talking about wine! I recommend getting the tasting flight. They have few different options and the waiter recommends you something depending on if you're eating cheese with it, a meal, or just drinking wine. We tried out 6 different wines and they were all fantastic!!! I tried the cheeses in Italy few times before I tried the cheeses here and I was really disappointed, so I was hoping for good cheeses here and I was not disappointed at all. I was so happy that the cheese selection was exactly what I was craving!!!! Their inside seatings are really cute, but it all packed when we got there so we sat outside, and suffered a slight bit in the heat but it was all worth it.

Mushroom fondue. One of the best things I've ever eaten.

Two trips to Italy and this is our favorite place. Spent one night at the bar getting a wonderful lesson in several local wines. The bartender was helpful and knowledgeable. The glasses of wine were priced well below what we expected considering the price of the bottles. An order off their limited bar snack menu was enough to get us to make a reservation for dinner the following night. Dinner was even better than we expected. We enjoyed all of their wine recommendations. The food was all amazing. Fresh pasta, flavorful sauce. The star was a Parmesan and pecorino fondue topped with an egg and mushrooms. There are no words to do it justice. They have a wine club featuring local wines that are generally unavailable or hard to find in the states. We were surprised at how reasonable it was to have them ship to the U.S.

i could probably go on and on about this place and my experience, but ill give you the cliff notes version of it instead... GO THERE. if youre in florence and you want to eat well AND have a great wine tasting experience...GO THERE. zeno (one of the owners/sommelier) is a well spoken italian cat that knows his wine. we found out about this place thru another friend who had been here recently, and boy were we lucky to have found this gem of a spot... our wine tasting and meal consisted of about 7 or 8 courses of food with about 12 glasses of wine. after the greatest wine tasting experience ive ever had in my life....i was completely satiated and also completely hammered. GOD, vacations sure are great... the wine selection here truly is remarkable...apparently they have their own reserve bottles of wine that they started receiving from a small winery that they work with near tuscany... these guys really do have a passion for wine and food and will definitely educate you on old world italian wines... i have to say again...the food here was amazing...as a wine-o or as a foodie...if youre in florenece...make a reservation and get your ass in here asap!!!

Instead, without even asking for my name or checking my reservation, a young host walked me out the door and across the street into a completely different dining area. The room I was placed in looked nothing like what was advertised: it was brightly lit, with paper napkins, cheap silverware, and visibly dirty walls. The whole place felt like a low-end lunch diner -- not a charming Florentine restaurant. They were blasting Highway to the Danger Zone and I Wanna Dance with Somebody while the main restaurant -- the one I thought I had booked -- played soft Italian music that actually fit the fine dining experience. The contrast was insulting. I was dressed in an upscale outfit appropriate for a refined dinner, yet I was treated as though I didn't belong. It felt discriminatory and dismissive. To make matters worse, at the end they tried to pressure me into tipping on the card machine -- in Italy, where tipping isn't even customary. The entire experience felt like a bait-and-switch, and I left feeling disrespected, singled out, and completely disappointed.
