We were in San Diego for my son's graduation. In the evening, our Chevy Tahoe's battery light came on and says Charging System Failure. At first, we thought the connection might be loose because we just changed the battery before driving from the Bay Area to SD, about 7-8 hrs drive. It wasn't and waited until the morning to take it to AutoZone to check and see if it was the battery or the alternator. It was the alternator and they recommended to use a mobile mechanic. I had initially went to O'Reilly and they were the ones who recommended Jay. I messaged him through yelp and he responded within 10 min. I am sorry it took me a couple of weeks to post this yelp. On the 21 of Jan. my hubby was broken down about 30 miles from our home. This started at 3:15. We have been members of AAA for 20+ years so he called for a tow and said that he would need a flatbed due to the nature of the breakdown. At 4:30 a regular tow truck agreeing it was the wrong kind of truck. The driver, while taking a lot of pics said my hubby should call and say he had an accident and they would send the truck he needs right away?!? As he left he canceled Tommy's (hubby) call. We didn't know this until 5:30 when he heard nothing. The rest is just sad BS going back and forth with AAA. I was told I can get my hubby home if I can get a tow truck, pay out of pocket, and they will eventually reimburse me. Six hours have past. I called Jay at ENROUTE2HELP. They were closed and Jay was all settled at home. He took this on for us! He got to Tommy about 9:45pm. They got here and unhooked the truck by 10:30 or so. I am sure he wasn't settled until midnight. I know he could have charged us more however it was coming out our pocket 1st. I don't know what we would have done if Jay didn't help!
