These ppl in the office don't know wtf they're doing! I had to call 3 separate times to get them to credit a $250.00 deposit I made and each time got a 'oh we're getting it done' and they never did. For months now I lose power to half my house off and on all day. Sometimes a minute, sometimes for hours. I was told about 5 months ago that they would install a "recorder" to my meter to try and figure out the problem. Nothing happened! After that, I was repeatedly told the problem was within my house. I've now paid $200 for electrician. Of course, the problem didn't happen while he was here. Three days later though it went out, I called him back and he came immediately. Checked everything and found I was only get 120 not the 240 I was supposed to be getting from Entergy. We called Entergy immediately (the electrician took pictures) and explain. Power came back on about 15 minutes after that call. Man from Energy showed up a couple of hours later. Again, he promised a "recorder within a week". Last Friday I called to find out what was going on as no one has shown up to put on this "recorder". My power was going on and off the whole day. I was promised by both the agent I spoke with but also got a call from Barry saying it would be put on by Monday. Well, today I called again and was first told they couldn't find a ticket. Then told to call back and press 3 for the billing department as they could see old tickets. (They can't transfer a call! How ridiculous is that?) So, I called billing, was told that it isn't scheduled until NOVEMBER 11th. Can't get ahold of Barry as that line has been "disconnected". I'm furious that they don't give a crap AND they keep increasing the cost! If there was any other electric company I could use, I would be gone and not deal with this crap anymore. It has burned up several of appliances that I can't figure out how to add surge protection. read more

This company is horrible, they let someone get service in my name they didn't call the number on the account they took the number she provided. They don't even tell me it's on, now they want me to do all these things while they do nothing They want me to sign an agreement saying I will pay the bill, after I do that then they will do an investigation and if after they do their investigation, then they will determine if I owe this bill. They wouldn't even make a phone call, which is their policy, but they will do an investigation. Why would they go after the people who owe the other than the sucker who signed the agreement to pay. Entergy/Entergy Solutions finally got their act together and provided a free energy audit, which I was ultimately very pleased with and encourage others to take advantage of this program to save energy and money. Here's how it works: Skip Entergy altogether and look for Entergy Solutions. Then find a "partner" listed on the website. Call the partner and ask for an energy audit. Someone will come to your house, install a smart thermostat (if you need one), squirt liquid plastic into cracks, find where the drafts in your house are and fill up holes that allow air flow. The only part I was displeased with was their low quality weather stripping. I peeled it off and installed my own. I think it just took a while for Entergy to get this program up and running. read more

Worst electric company in the world. Called customer service and made a payment July 28th. Today my lights are out. Apparently payments aren't accepted over the phone and this employee ran off with the money for my payment. However, the account reflects the payment was made and then returned. My bank has no record of the payment being returned & Entergy failed to provide a reason for the "returned payment" Spoke with a supervisor who was very rude. Did not care that one of her employees was scamming people and wanted full payment for the lights to be turned back on. She did not bother to investigate or try to pull the phone call. She simply stated that it was an outside scam. Even though I called their customer service dep and spoke with an Entergy employee. Very rude and condescending. Hope this company goes belly up. read more

You know, since the 90's.. Entergy seemed like they were doing better. Not the customer service area, and I'll get to that in a moment. During the last part of 2019, they started upgrading their website and meters. Of course it doesn't seem like much of a upgrade in 2020. Random power outages on a clear sunny day, horrible computerized agent... that will frustrate anybody. Meters have no internal power source to report the actual outage.. When the power goes out, they go with them. Recently.. like today, I was putting the finishing touches on a security camera, when I heard alarms from my UPS backups and alarm system. Indicating a outage, when I called them. They we're clueless about the outage...after waiting for nearly a hour I finally got honor of speaking to their infamous customer service. They don't care about you, they only care when it comes to getting their money. In 2020, I guess they decided to bring back the nineties. I can expect another outage at the worst possible time, because with Entergy, it's what I expect. When you need them the most, they'll leave you in the dark. Moved into an apartment on April 28, 2023 with the electricity turned off. I called Entergy electric to setup my account and gave all details they requested for service to be turned on. Electric was turned on that same day and was told that someone by end on day Friday April 28 at latest Monday May 1st to verify my information. I asked if I would be able to call the department that handles verification and was told no they don't have that information and only Entergy can email them. Nobody from the verification department ever called and come Friday May 5th 2023 at approximately 2:30pm central time my electricity was turned off. I called Entergy and was told there is a hold on my account and they have to send an email to verification for them to call me. I explained to them I have already been over this and it's been a week and now my electricity is turned off. They said they can't do anything and it can take between 5-7 business days to verify the account and turn it on. I explained this is an emergency since I have a family here and just bought groceries that will now go bad. They didn't seem to care or have any answers. Now I have to spend extra money to find a place until they can resolve this. This is horrible business practice and this process needs to be changed. I would like a full refund for any cost this will cause me to have if this does not get fixed by May 5th 2023 end of business. read more

The worst electrical company in the world. I called for a power outage and was lied to 6 times because no one wanted to come out on a Friday. With a newborn at home, my mother uses a dialysis machine, and high temperature it became a life threatening nightmare as our car was in the shop. My service time went from 1030 to 1130 to 1230 to 1:30pm to 2:30 and now 4pm till they close. A lawsuit will come soon, and we will get paid. read more

I had an appointment to have electricity installed to a meter loop for my shop on Monday. I called and spoke to someone at Entergy at 3 pm Monday who assured me that they were coming Monday. Now it's Thursday and still no electricity, no phone call stating they weren't coming. I just wish I had another option for electrical service but I'm stuck with this company. Terrible customer service and no service when scheduled 6 days in advance and being told that they would be there on the day of the appointment. This company will charge you a late fee if your payment is late but if they are late you will know nothing about when they will show up. Will still want their money for connecting your service if/when they do connect. read more

This may be one of the worst customer service entities that I have ever dealt with. They are replacing old meters with new electric ones. I was not home when the first service technician came by and he left a hanger on my door with a telephone number which when I called it, said it was discontinued. On a subsequent message I was given another telephone number which had the last digit missing. Today they set up an appointment for me to have the meter replaced and the service man was supposed to be here between 10-12. At 10:20 I called Entergy to inquire why the service man had not been here and was told to call Honeywell. When I called them I was put on hold and when the service representative supposedly was going to talk to me, I was cut off. This happened a second time. When I finally did talk to a representative she said she would email someone to find out why the service man had not come to my house. She was going to call me back and it is now at 10:50 and I have yet to hear from anyone. read more

Entergy has the worst customer service I have ever experienced. Do not pay the bill by allowing them to take the money automatically from your bank account. They will act like you gave them the incorrect account numbers so they can wait until after the due date and notify you that you haven't paid your bill. Then they take it out of account twice. Good luck getting that back until they use it acredit for the following month. This company needs to follow required regulations, rules and have some detailed compliance audits before they hurt more customers from their unethical business practices. Entergy trains employees to grow corporate profits by never finding the customer to be right. They are a master at making a bill paying honest person feel like their issue is not worth Entergy's time in listening because they don't make mistakes. I can only hope and prey that competition in services they offer is ever allowed. When people are forced to use their service, with no alternatives, Entergy has no reason to ever find the customer right. Hopefully their judgement day will come soon! read more
