Save yourself the headache and rent from literally anywhere else. After multiple mistakes (and I do mean multiple), I was actually told by the "manager" to try a different location because this branch is essentially a training ground and "not equipped" to handle things. That alone should tell you everything you need to know. We rent cars regularly for business and gave this location chance after chance for over a year. Like clockwork, every single month came with a new issue--overcharges, missing deposit refunds, conflicting information, and zero accountability. Just when you think things are finally sorted, they find a new way to mess it up. The experience feels less like customer service and more like a game of "let's see what we can get away with this time." Cars were consistently given to us on empty, then magically documented as "full" so they could tack on fuel charges. Rates we were told were "locked in" (confirmed by multiple employees) changed without warning. One car reeked of cigarette smoke, and when we pointed it out, the response was essentially, "Yeah... we have a rule about that, but we don't enforce it." Inspiring. Policies seem to change depending on who you talk to, which means you can't trust anything you're told--today's answer won't be tomorrow's. The cherry on top? When I asked to escalate my concerns, I was told the manager had no manager and was the highest level I'd be "allowed" to speak to. That's not leadership--that's avoidance. We even followed their suggestion to try another location, only to be sent right back to the same branch a couple months later--the one that openly admitted they couldn't handle the rentals. They tell you to contact customer support and then customer support will tell you that only local managers can do anything, even though it's the local manager that's scamming me. They have attempted zero communication or resolution outside of threatening me with collection letters after failing their chargeback attempt. Disgusting management and company customer service. With uninformed hostile staff and an inconsiderate manager (who ghosted me immediately) I had zero possibility of resolution. I was charged for something that I was never even informed about. My rental was supposed to be completely covered by my insurance. As I was walking out the door the employee kept guaranteeing it was already confirmed for a set amount of days. He also explicitly told me to ignore any automated texts from Enterprise as they were standard. Enterprise without my knowledge switched my rental from being covered by my insurance and then sent me one automated text to update me of the change. Outside of the automated text that I was told to ignore they claimed to have contacted me in other ways. But this is 100% untrue. I do not have a single call, email, text or voicemail from them until charges had already been accruing for over a week. And I made sure to give them my other details while checking out. I called them after I started seeing charges on my account to ask if this was a mistake. Lauren Utz waited to contact me 4 days later to update me that Geico had stopped the rental. During those 4 days I racked up charges that I had to deal with. They essentially threw my money away due to their complete lack of communication. When I reached out to let them know Geico and Enterprise had mistakenly not updated me about the change in rental I was met with hostile responses from the front desk and no effort to take accountability for the misinformation they gave me. Geico (because they had reached out to a family member instead of me) made up for their mistake and extended out the rental days for me. Enterprise made no such effort. No resolution offered. After one email from me explaining to them the explicit miscommunication on their employees part Lauren Utz ghosted me completely and left me to dispute the charge myself. DO NOT TRUST THIS LOCATION. THEY WILL MAKE ABSOLUTELY NO EFFORT TO WORK WITH YOU TO AMEND THEIR MISTAKES. ITS NOT A RISK WORTH TAKING WITH A RENTAL CAR. ESPECIALLY WITH THIS LOCATIONS HISTORY OF SNEAKILY TACKING ON HUNDREDS IN CHARGES (check other negative reviews!) We were already having a bad time due to having two cars break down at once. He said he had no cars for us but he looked a lot like he wanted to punch us, lol. Renee was very helpful for us when we picked up the car. My only gripe was they gave us the car on empty. Every car rental I've ever had it was full so It was sort of muscle memory for me to bring back any rental on a full tank. I blanked on us being able to return the car on empty and returned it just below a full tank. I called up the next day after returning it to let them know. Taylor the store manager was very gracious about my frustrations I voiced about picking up the car on empty and was more than happy to refund me for the money I spent on the near full tank we returned it with. It was cheap is the only saving grace of this rental. 1) The car was dirty inside and out. Notably the interior had white stains on the seats, dashboard and especially large stains on the carpeting. 2) After initially being charged for the rental and a deposit I found and additional charge on my card for the rental when I turned car in. So Enterprise has tied up several hundred additional dollars on my credit card rather than just cancel the deposit. Ok. Better late than never! I rented from this agency multiple times in the past and they have been horrible from a customer service point of view and I have given them a scathing review. But I did rent from again (reluctantly) this past February 2015 for 3 days (Vegas) and they must have changed management because my rental experience was night and day! The guys at the desk were friendly and for the very first time since I've been renting from them, I felt like they were valueing me as a customer and not someone they can up sell and make more $$ with. I have taken my business to Budget rental, but I think I might come back to these guys. They had 2015 models available, the staff were friendly and helpful, the cars were on display on the side of their building for customers to see (& upsell themselves). The guy did try a little too hard to sell us protection coverage, but the overall experience was great! If you've rented from them in the past, try it again and let us know how your experience is. My return experience was just as easy, parked in the back and dropped my keys at the key drop. This experience has renewed my trust in them and gained my business as well. We rented a car last weekend and were headed to our granddaughters graduation, we had just driven 3 1/2 hrs to pock up the car called ahead and let them know we were going to be a few minutes late but we were close. When we arrived 10 minutes after closing time we were sad to find they were gone. We were trying to figure out what to do when we saw someone drive back up to find out it was the manager that saw us and came back , he was hesitant in opening back up for us and said he would have to turn off the alarm.and open the safe but agreed after my soft nudging/begging. I used them about 2 months ago to rent a car for a long road trip/business trip. They called me about 10 minutes before I was going to leave to say they didn't have my car and would be giving me a truck (poor gas mileage). They said there was no way around it so I just had to accept it. Luckily a different car (a sedan) was returned before I picked up the truck and all was ok. I have been renting from the American Fork location for over a year now. Each time I have reserved a vehicle well in advance of the date I needed it. I also have arranged to have a pick up for several of the reservations that I made. Each time I have made a reservation I end up waiting for 20-30 minutes past my reservation time to actually get the vehicle. I have signed up for their "rewards" program and provided all the information that they have requested, but still end up having to give that info again when I arrive. They are very quick to apologize, but after the 4th or 5th time of the same issues it feels very disingenuous. The staff then ask what they can do to make it better (just to get me our the door and what feels like a blow off to hopefully help me forget about the negative experience) and offer upgrades on my next experience or half fuel returns, but never really seem interested in making a real change to improve the experience. If I have made a reservation WELL IN ADVANCE then the vehicle needs to be ready, waiting for me to pick it up; not prepped when I arrive. My most recent experience was particularly difficult since I had arranged a pick up at 7:30am and needed to leave town by 8:00 to make business appointments. The pick up did not show up until 8:00 and, true to form, the rental was not ready for me for about 15 minutes. The consistent difficulty with timeliness and disingenuous attitudes have caused me to rethink renting from here in the future... read more

Rented a car in Provo Utah location. My wife picked up the car and had to tell the associate "NO" more than 3 times that we did not want or need OPTIONAL insurance. Inspection of the vehicle: associate wouldn't go out to the vehicle to help inspect the car, BUT she did emphasize several times that if she didn't record something correctly, we would be charged. In all my wife felt PATRONIZED, stupid, belittled and overall came away feeling very upset. Contacted Enterprise, returned the vehicle after 4 hours and 20 miles driven. Manager asked what can we do to make this up? He waived the fee and gave us 15% off the next rental. Wow, Enterprise, you are so generous! I think he could have done better. I've rented from several Enterprise locations and had a great experience, except PROVO, UT. This office needs new management! read more

The staff was super friendly and upgraded my car for free because they did not have the car available that I selected online. Only thing was the car was not washed before i was given the keys, even though the agent offered to clean it for us, i just didn't want to wait again after he already gave us the car and we were in it. Also they will charge you an additional 150 deposit on your card but is refunded after payment of rental is charged on your card and car is returned, didn't care for that much. Hertz doesn't do that when I rent from them.:( read more

The staff were all very rushed and the experience was poor. Because the turn over to me was so rushed, there was body damage that was not identified during our brief inspection that was blamed on me at return. My nice, fairly new Q5 was run into in a parking lot by a mid size vehicle. The poor guy was just having a bad day and not paying attention. Anyway... it was going to take almost 2 weeks to order and replace the parts on my car, so the guys insurance paid for a rental car while it was getting fixed. I HATE having to pull the mildly crippled card but I can't drive a car that doesn't have good back support. Reluctantly, I explained this the the Enterprise guy and he was more than happy find me something I could physically handle for 2 weeks. We sat in a couple different cars and finally found one with lumbar support and I was going to be late to get my steroid shots in my spine, so I gladly agreed and was on my way. After I had gotten my "Procedure" done and the car had sat in the sun for a few hours, it was crystal clear that someone had smoked...A LOT...in this car!! It took me so long to find one that worked though so I talked myself into just rolling down the windows. Not leaving the dry cleaning in it... I could do this!! Even after my two daughters commented on how bad it smelled! I did NOT want to make a fuss! Then my husband got in it and he made me call Enterprise back and tell them (2 days after renting the stinking car!). So I called up, all nervous and social anxiety like, and they were so nice!! They didn't even question my honesty over the phone let alone in person! They apologized! Said all their cars are supposed to be smoke free and pointed me towards some other of their best cars, and I drove a different one home! Easy peasy! I only docked them a star because of the hassle it was for me to get it switched and it should never have gone off the lot like that. I also should've just taken it back when I noticed! They did it as if, "Oh, you can get an SUV instead of the Corolla you reserved. Would you like the SUV?" It wasn't until we were walking out to the car that I had the presence of mind to ask, "Is there any upcharge for the SUV?" "Oh, let me look. Yeah that'd be an extra $50/day." More than doubling the cost I expected. Then, when I got home and looked at the bill, they charged me $50 extra for an extra driver. I didn't request an extra driver. I was the only driver. They didn't ask about an extra driver. These guys are crooks. If you rent here, question everything they say and get it recorded on video. You'll have to sue them to get what they promised. Worst experience of my life. The process was a nightmare. First, I was to be picked up at a certain time and was not; the collision center where I was at had to re-call them. Second, I get to the office and they are so understaffed that it took 30 minutes to finally talk to someone (I was the only one there). And finally, while talking about insurance and the vehicle conditions, the manager had the most sassy remarks towards me (maybe because he thought I was inferior to him because I was 18??). Absolutely recommend these guys. We had a few problems with our rental truck. We took the truck out of state and back, calling them as issues were arising. We went to another enterprise in California where they tried to help us as well but were unable to switch vehicles (we needed a truck both directions) for us so we had to drive the rental back to the American Fork location. We called about a lost wallet and they wouldn't help, wouldn't call us back, and at one point told us, essentially, to leave them alone because they were "busy with customers." I travel a lot and have found that I only use 2 rental car companies...one of which is Enterprise. This is mainly due to customer service and ease of use. However, I will not rent again from this location. I had a reservation and needed them to pick us up. I called in the morning to make sure they knew what time i needed to leave. I had an appointment. The guy asked me to call back in 20 minutes to remind them of the pick up. I did and he informed me they would pick me up but 15 minutes later than I requested. I informed him I needed to have the car and driving off the lot by the time I requested the car rental. He said he would be there on time. The driver didn't show up until the later time he originally told me. Then when I got into the office there were 8 people also waiting on cars and I ended up being 30 minutes late to my appointment. In addition, I was informed they were having computer problems no apologies were given. Several other customers came in and were complaining that they never got picked up either. I suggest using the Provo location or the airport location in Salt Lake for better service. read more

I was involved in a car accident and need a rental for about a week. Renting a car from Enterprise was the worst experience I have ever had. I just wanted to get the car and get home and rest, because I had been hurt in the accident. They wanted me to stand there and answer questions that had nothing to do with renting a car. They wanted to know things like where my car was right now, what kind of condition was it in? These are just a few of the long list of questions I was forced to answer while standing there, in pain. I was not treated like my time was valuable. Or that my concerns were legitimate. I felt damage must have been missed in the original rental inspection. It was not explained to me by any employee the process for which damage reports are handled. And I had to walk home because my ride was no longer available because of the time it took to deal with finding out this information on my own at the return location- but not with the help or attention of the employees. I was told to call the original rental location because I was disputing the damage at the time of return. I was there for over an hour as other customers were helped while I made phone calls to my auto insurance and the original rental location in Houston that weren't even necessary. They explained to me how the process works. And that I didn't have to pay a deductible right then as the Utah location employee was expecting but didn't even quite explain he wanted. I had to surmise that on my own as well and then clarified by asking if that was what he expected. He said yes. I will avoid this enterprise location as the employees don't seem to want to be helpful or treat you as though you have legitimate concerns. And depending on how the claim is handled I will not use enterprise again at all. read more

This place mistakenly charged me an extra $200, for something they promised they wouldn't charge me for. They also took this money out of my account without informing me. It then took me over 3 weeks with multiple calls to them by me to get my money back. During this 3 week period I was told three times I would see my money the next day, and never did. While they seem very friendly it felt like they do not care about the customer after they have your money. While I am not sure how other Enterprise run their offices I would never again do any type of business with the American Fork office. read more
