We have been looking off and on since October for a car, we were very particular about we wanted. We saw a listing on KSL and drove down and got there about 1/2 hour before they closed. Kellen showed us the two cars we were interested in and gave great advice on which would be better for our needs and the price, which was exactly what we thought also. He showed us car fax and comps for similar vehicles within 300 miles and their prices are a bit below average. He stayed late, answered all our questions, wasn't pushy and gave us time to discuss what we wanted and the opportunity to think it over that night. We hadn't planned on buying right away but when we found what we wanted, we couldn't pass up such a good deal. He followed up the next day and was really helpful in getting things set up to purchase. You're really not going to find a car dealer like these guys at Shamrock Auto many places. Hear me out: We were in an incredible bind as a family - needing to take our 3 month old daughter to some specialty treatment for her seizures across the country. We weren't sure what to do - because we had more to take then our van could fit. Brady and Kellen heard about our story and reached out to us to see what they could do. To make a long story short, they found a way for us to use one of their vans for a cross country trip - just so we could get our daughter the medical care she needed in New Orleans. This really isn't the thing you do if money is your main aspiration and pursuit. Their kindness and trust made a HUGE difference for us as a family - not only in being able to make the trip comfortably, but learning some things to help our daughter Olivia, who has a serious seizure disorder. It's hard enough to know who to trust these days, but maybe especially when you're looking for a car. From experience, I can tell you that you can trust Brady and Kellen. I know they care about people - and will treat you fairly. This is the kind of business we should support, celebrate and invest in for our communities. I always like doing business with smaller companies. Most of the bad experiences I have had in life have been from large sort of mega dealerships. Issues I have had with other dealerships in the past are, hidden fees, different price for cash, pushy sales people,the selling of unwanted nonsense. You get non of this with Shamrock, they made this the most straightforward and honest people I have ever dealt with. Kellen was amazing from start to finish. Also he represents Allstate and managed to sell me an very reasonably priced warranty for the truck, that includes giving me the right to put larger tires on it and lift it up to 6 inches and still have the vehicle covered. Afterwards I purchased a range Rover in Milwaukee for my wife and they sold me a warenty for less than half the price of the local dealership there. So basically if you want to buy a vehicle or a warenty for your vehicle these are the folks to go to. Basically I have purchased 2 warranties and a truck from them and I am very happy. read more

Big mistake buying a car here. We were under pressure to quickly get a car for my elderly sister who need a car for chemo treatments. The sales people were nice, but the car was way overpriced, and their $600 "documention fee" should be called "profit padding fee". I admit it was my fault for not taking time to do some research, but we were in a hurray. After waiting for 2 months to get the plates that their $600 supposedly included, I finally called and was told they were waiting on the emmissions inspection. I was told the lot guy that was supposed to do it had quit, and oops, it apparently just never got done. They said I could wait for them to take it over to get done, or just take it over myself. No brainer there, I had no confidance by this time, so I took it over. My sister has since passed away, and I was so embarrased to admit to the family that we overpaid by thousands, that I bought it myself so the other family members wouldn't get stuck with the reduced inheritance when we sold it at the actual market value. Again, mostly my fault, but you can bet I'll never be back. read more

I've owned a lot of cars and commercial vehicles. I've bought many in several different states. Buying from a dealer whos inventory is primarily used cars is typically a gamble. A lot of shady characters out there! We actually walked out on a deal at a big new car dealer and drove 4 hours to buy from Shamrock Group. Why? No games. No underhanded tricks in processing finance docs. Was more than accommodating in sending us updated photos and answering all questions, including a breakdown of all fees over the phone. I came to Shamrock Auto Group with my friend to buy a Honda Element when her old Element was totaled by some jerk who blew a red light going 60. First impression? It's a small lot with about 50 cars. It's definitely a used car dealership, but it's right off the road in Pleasant Grove so it's easy to find. They normally close at 7, but for my friend they stuck around until about 8pm to help her get into her new element. It's a new building and walking in there were pretty well behaved kids helping set up furniture and cleaning. They're cute. Kellen Christenson, the owner, is super friendly, personable, and honest. He was laid back, wearing plaid and a baseball cap. He was also professional and through. I'm super happy with how he treated my friend and how he greeted me. He was sincere and kind. I don't know what sticky black stuff they had all over their leather seats when we test drove their vehicle but it stained our clothes. Be careful test driving their vehicles as they don't warn you about this and the strong toxic smell inside the car. Also, they have cars listed on KSL, but when you go in the car isn't even there. This place seems sketchy. read more

I had to get a jeep and I found the best deal online. I went in and paid cash straight up. At first they checked every one of my c notes but after realizing it was real deal cash they smiled and I drove off in my jeep. Plates arrived a couple weeks later, no problems! read more

No pressure, no backseat salesman riding along on test drives, no big boss in the back office. This is the place to buy a car! We started here after an internet search. We got to the place not knowing it was closed on a Saturday night, but Kellan was still there and let us drive a couple of vans. Then he gave us the best news of all, that they would be able to hold the car for us with a small deposit. 2 days later we went back for another test drive, and even though they were busy, they gave us the pates and let us go for a thorough test drive. Went down a couple of days later with our trade in to leave as a deposit and left with a basic contract to buy the van...in a couple of weeks when we got our money in. Finally, when we went to pick up the van, we were in and out in less than 20 minutes. They gave us a very fair price on the trade in, a price on the van that was right in line with the KBB value and service that is second to none. The pricing is not only fair, but no haggle. The price doesn't change from quote to contract, and I never felt manipulated or "sold to" at all. Like many other reviews have said, it feels more like buying from your friend (or brother in law at most) than a big dealership. Any car that I buy in the future, and anyone who asks me where to go look at cars, I will direct down to the Shamrock Group.
