This establishment is highly unprofessional. I recently was hit in an accident and was recommended this location for a rental as it was closest to me. My issue began at noon as a week ago if this post. Originally making the appointment to be put into a vehicle, I was told which vehicle I will be put into by 5pm that day, this was not the case. I arrived 10 mins early and did not leave until after 7pm (after closing). Once I was addressed for payment, a vehicle was still not ready for me. The salesman was eager for me to make this payment at a much higher price & even went to as far as asking me personal questions relating to our fathers. Upon signing to get the vehicle he continued to push me to sign for extra insurance, which I reminded him that my insurance would take care of it, which was seemed to not be expected. After signing, due to being at the location for almost 3 hours I accepted this. Upon leaving the dealership, I found several issues with the vehicle that were not properly working. The mirrors were unable to move with the controllers. With this is in my mind, I went back to the the location in the morning. That morning, I addressed with the salesman my issues and attempted to cancel the extra insurance I was making, and was addressed with a "yes, no problem, this will be canceled." I was also re-assured about the cancellation. I explained my issues with the vehicle and met with a stand on taking the vehicle with the the broken mirror. A week later, I received a charge on my card. My request was not met. I have spoken to corporate, and now have the business checking cameras to my morning visit, along side of possibly not being refunded for my request to cancel as there was no instructions given to me on signing anything to cancel my request, apart from the word of the salesman saying this was canceled. My problems have not been solved. As previously stated, this business is unprofessional and has a large lack of communication as well as damaged vehicles in there inventory. Booked car for 9am. Got there at 11:30. Didn't leave with the car until 12:30. Car only had half a tank of gas. Booked this car way in advance for an event and this made us very late which is a huge problem. Everytime we asked for a time update they gave us the vague answer: "about 15 minutes shouldn't be much longer". Reeked of weed inside and outside. Do not book here. read more

Do NOT rent a car from thislcompany. At the Bridgeport, CT location I was charged $659 without my knowledge for a rental which was covered by my insurance company. When I called this office to dispute I was given the company line and spoken to by a robotic human being. When my daughter initially went to this atrocious dealer to rent a car she waited FOUR HOURS for someone to assist her. This location is a pure nightmare. STAY AWAY. I would give NO stars if I could. terrible service I will never go there again. I reserved a Chevy suburban online confirmed it paid for the insurance. When I got there, I was told that I did not give my phone number which was not true and of course no Chevy was on the lot. Why they would need to call to confirm my reservation when I did it online is completely beyond me. after waiting there for a while, trying to get another car to that location was not happening and I was going on a road trip with my family. Luckily a very nice young man was there to pick up a ford and gave us his reservation. It was a smaller vehicle, but big enough to get us by. The most frustrating part of all of this was that they still wanted to charge me for the Chevy suburban even though they gave me a much cheaper vehicle, which was a Ford expedition. After calling several times and arguing with the manager at the store, they reduced my rate. end of story never ever again. And when we were there, there was another gentleman that they did the same exact thing too. I don't know if it's a bait and switch situation or just incompetence however, I will never ever go to enterprise in Bridgeport again. And I called the main number. Spoke to someone , who said I could not speak to a manager that all they could do is leave my information for the escalation team to call me back and guess what no one ever called me back so enterprise goodbye I will not be renting any vehicles with you ever again read more

The cars I've rented from Enterprise have been clean and no mechanical problems. My problem is that for a company that advertises' "we pick you up doesn't always follow thru. The last two times I've rented the person who picked me up did no know how to get to the Bridgeport train station . They went to the transit station which is the bus station. Therefore I had to walk a block and a half with my luggage on a hot day. Enterprise should make sure their drivers to major places in Bridgeport. Especially the train station which isn't that far from their office. read more

Everyone is nice and they try to help you to the best of their ability but just beware that if you get a rental through someones insurance company (for non fault accident) and you have an ez pass, make sure you put your easy pass device in your rental. when I called They told me all these tolls would be at ez pass price, but they aren't. THEY get charged ez pass price and they charge customers full price . My car was in the shop and was hard to obtain device but I should have known better to take their word for it. Very misleading. Came from out of state. Was able to get the reservation with my debit card and was more than happy to pay up front and had my proof of insurance, they wanted a utility bill and they would t accept my T-Mobile bill as such. Rented from them a few years back and didn't have to go through any of the hopes, long story short I walked out. Will never rent or reserve with this company again. read more

Waited 50 minutes for a pick up at the port Jefferson ferry. It's 2.9 miles and an 8 min drive time. First driver got hopelessly lost. Spent 20 minutes driving around and could STILL not find her way to the ferry building. Second driver doesn't help putting luggage in the trunk. REALLY??!!!!! Two stars only because they were helpful when actually booked the reservation. But do not use their pick up service. Use Lyft. read more

Really disappointed in this location. My husband and I were hit badly by hurricane Ida which resulted in our vehicle being a total loss. We rented a vehicle from this location on North Ave after the first 5 days of our insurance paying for the rental we still needed it and went to do a new rental however they had no vehicles my husband told them the car we currently had was a gas guzzler so they gave him a cheaper daily fee (thank you for that) at that moment my husband told them he did not want the insurance and they said they would take care of that 5 days later we return the vehicle the man who closed it out said everything was fine didn't show a receipt to be signed or go over anything next day we go over the receipt and see we were charged 440.00 for insurance called and asked them why they charged they made up lies about my husband saying he told them he would come back to remove the insurance told us "people always try to call and argue charges to them" told my husband call and speak to the general manager the next day they then told him there was nothing they could do! This is disgusting and ridiculous you don't lie on people just because you made a mistake on handling things on your end! Never will rent here again! read more

Wow!! Just wow! We had our personal automobile break down this past weekend (Halloween) on the George Washington Bridge on our way to Bridgeport CT for a family emergency. The car was towed to the dealer for repair and we needed a car...BADLY! Called Enterprise BP and they immediately (no questions asked) brought us a car...right to our hotel! Fast, friendly and as was mentioned in a previous post here...unflustered by the busy atmosphere this location apparently has. Outstanding customer service...smiling faces abound, when you walk in! I've never experienced such excellent service by an amazing team of people who collectively working together in harmony. Together ,they were flashes of lightning going this way that way each juggling three balls in the air with a smile on their faces And a willingness to please that I've ever seen. I must say they are wore different hats, no job was too menial from what I saw. I arrived unannounced, somewhat shaken, being dropped off by the equally nice tow.truck driver from Buds, dragging my once beautiful now totaled car. Was told there was nothing they could give me but would do their best if I was patient and flexible. It's wasn't long before they pleadingly asked if I could deal w a full sized Silverado !! Without thinking or looking I enthusiastically said YES!! They cleaned, washed n just about detailed the truck in record time. We were visiting from California, and Bridgeport Enterprise was excellent. The staff were very friendly, pick up was easy, and drop off at the Bridgeport train station was outstanding. We were short on time, and our driver got us to the train station to catch the express back to NY (she even called up to the conductor to hold the train while we ran up the stairs - I wish I caught her name; that kind of service pushed the rating to five stars)! I rented a vehicle for a day & I wanted to modify the drop off to Providence (100 miles away) the charge.... wallaaaa $150....(a 3 day rental fee) then he went down to $100 is like I was being hustle by the manager.. I call your corporate or csr enterprise office who In turn looks up my information using my drivers license current and previous address. Reserve my rental and then transfers me to Stamford local to me)enterprise office. You guys pick me up take me to the enterprise office then tell me I can't rent a car!! I leave my office during my lunch to wait around hour n half to resolve this issue. I had no idea I had a balance!! Where is your paper trail? Any documents stating I knew about this balance from north ave Bridgeport. I was informed insurance was covering this!! 8 years ago!!! When I brought the car back why wasn't I notified then? You have csr notations that means nothing to me if I was in real time real world not notified! I'm so upset with the lack of organization and communication. Professional to professional to allow a client get in your vehicle to drive them to your office I felt cornered and out of time. I paid the balance because I needed a rental, I am letting you know that how this was handled and lack of evidence that I truly was responsible for this balance was less than honorable and respectful. As a NYC resident with a weekend place in CT, I have regularly rented cars from varying companies in varying CT cities for quite some time. This Enterprise location is my absolute favorite--- its staff are always on time when they pick us up from the MetroNorth station, they're always extremely thoughtful and kind, they automatically try to help us to find the best rate, and their cars are always clean and well-maintained. I see this staff on Friday evening's when I'm exhausted after a long work week, and they always make me smile. I can be pretty criical, but I have to admit that these folks do a phenomenal job. read more

I rented a car here while my car was being repaired at a nearby dealership. The staff could not have been nicer. Larissa in particular was so helpful and lovely to work with. Although I hadn't made a reservation in advance, she patiently waited while I dropped off my car for repairs and drove me to a second enterprise location to pick up an appropriate sized car. She also diligently followed up for days with the insurance company to ensure my rental was covered instead of leaving this to me to do on my own. When I had an issue with the rental car the company promptly sent someone to my home to fix the problem immediately. I was taking the train from NYC to Providence and we had to stop at Bridgeport due to a problem. About 5 separate groups of renters ended up at Enterprise from the train and the staff was so quick and helpful to keep us going. They didn't have enough cars, but they very quickly organized themselves to have some people go get more from a nearby spot and others continue on with paperwork so we could get going as quickly as possible. They were friendly and fast and totally calm with the unexpected influx of customers needing one way rentals. I was so impressed and thankful. read more

An hour late picking me up. Did not call to inform me they were late. When I called to find out what was going on they told me "they don't know the location" of where I was even though I provided the name and street of where I was waiting. The rental is much bigger than I expected which I don't like, but I need a car so can't do much about it. read more

This is the closest Enterprise to my house and in the past I have had exceptional service so I expected nothing less this last time around. When picking up my car the worker was very pleasant and helpful. However, when returning the car the same worker was dismissive and rushed. I was interested in renting the car longer but changed my mind after experiencing his unapproachable demeanor. I understand that location is busy but in order for customers to continue returning, workers should be pleasant at pick up AND drop off. I will probably use the Fairfield office or try other rental companies before renting from the Bridgeport office. read more

It was last minute. Had to leave work and rent the car, so this place was the closest and most convenient at the time. I prefer the Lordship Blvd location in Stratford. The staff at this location was inattentive. I shouldn't wait more than 1 minute before someone acknowledges that I am waiting to be helped., and it wasn't due to employees helping other people. Their prices are ridiculous at this location. Don't ask me 'survey' type questions when I'm returning the car. Had it not been that my mother taught me to be respective I would have and should have really given my honest opinion on the service when asked at the desk in front of other customers. read more
