The worst customer service at this location. The lady Ayana who works there is completely rude. No professionalism at this establishment. There is a car shortage, enterprise is not the blame for that. However, after wrecking my vehicle and needing a rental, I would expect this company to be a little more empathetic or at least willing to resolve issues. I went a week without a rental and that was hell. This was 1636 S Military was the only car rental place that had anything. Finally they had at least something. It was unfortunately a minivan and my insurance policy only covers a sedan. Because it was all they had I went ahead and took it and specifically asked to be notified when they received a sedan. From June 1- 25 I had the minivan and I was under the impression that they never had sedans available. The manager claimed he tried contacting me and never heard back. Which was literally a lie. Phone records are proof. I called the day of my appointment and was told they didn't have anything available. I called several times after that and it was always the same answer. Personally I think they wanted to keep me in the minivan because it's more profitable. Also I should have looked at the reviews for tue last two years. Morale of the story don't wreck your car cause you can't depend on enterprise or any other car rental place. read more

So this was a very bad experience. Set up for rental several weeks ago for vacation. After driving an hour to get the vehicle we were called on way there that they had no vehicles. We waited for 1 1/2 hours in hopes of rep getting vehicle. Not sure if he tried or was just giving lip service. I would never recommend this location if u want a guaranteed car. Made a reservation online. Got a confirmation. Showed up and the assistant manager Jon Marable stated they don't have any cars and that they left me voicemail. Never got the voicemail. He asked me to work with him which meant "Sorry, no cars. ". He asked me if I could go to the airport. I told him I was dropped off and could they take me. He said no can do. He said he checked 9 locations and there were no cars. I asked him to call corporate and he said that is on me. I called corporate and they found a car 1.3 miles away at another Enterprise. They wouldn't give me a ride but them changed their mind. Jon never apologized, explained why he couldn't honor the reservation or why I had to deal with it myself when I had made a reservation and had a confirmation. read more

Had a problem with a flat tire on their vehicle. The road side assistance was useless and told me they couldn't help. Ended up at this branch who also wouldn't help even though they had a car that could of replaced the POS they rented me. I had to buy my own tire but lost a day of my vacation. After 15yrs of renting exclusively from Enterprise I will never be back. read more

Enterprise had a "wrong phone number" provided for me by my insurance company, so since they could not reach of me, they went ahead and charged my card for additional days that I was unaware of. They made no attempt to reach me by the email address they have on file. I was told that there is absolutely nothing can be done by them, I can request a refund from my insurance company and they usually comply as a matter of customer service. I asked the gentleman on the line if Enterprise is interested in providing customer service and he grew so quite for so long that I thought that he hung up. I can't remember what he ended up replying, but I hung up with no help. I did not have a choice what company to use for this transaction, but when I rent a car this summer to visit family, I do have a choice and I will be going elsewhere. read more

When I went to pick up the car at the reservation time it was not available, so I had to wait roughly twenty minutes. They did offer another vehicle which was on site, but it was a mini van and not practical for a trip into the mountains. Brooke, who is the one who helped me was very friendly and made it a better experience given the circumstance. I was slightly annoyed by another employee who was stepping in to help her due to her being newer I assume , but wasn't he nearly as friendly in regard to customer service. Once the car arrived it was an upgrade to what I reserved with no extra charge and it was brand new in great condition, no complaints in regards to the car. My trip lasted a day longer than intended, but upon return the guy who helped me with returning did not charge me for the extra day due to the wait on pick up. What started off as a slightly annoying experience turned into a pleasant one. It is very nice when companies hold themselves accountable for causing some headache and offering a free day was a great way to improve the experience. Enterprise is my go to car rental company and it will continue to be. read more

Rachel Thomas is rude to customers and overall the entire rental process was unprofessional. Despite having rented cars (one way) back and forth from DC to Chesapeake since March 2020, this time-the experience was horrible! I was given the run around and had to call the Sterling location and the 1636 military (Chesapeake) location several times before my ticket/agreement was closed!! Despite the fact the location was closed, they wanted to charge me for a two day rental. After explaining to them, Rachel was rude and unprofessional. Execellent service, enjoyed my rental very much. The office is very minimalistic, but they take excellent care of their customers here.

The customer service and overall atmosphere at this Enterprise location is awful. They literally would not make a phone call to the other branch to help me- their solution was to take me to another enterprise to have them help me...when I get to the other location the assistant manger picks up "his phone" calls "his internal enterprise number" and within miutes has my entire issue resolved- When I asked if they could they have done this for me at the military circle location? Yes.........WTF! Don't go to this location- don't waste your time...just go to the Battlefield location. A much more competent team. read more

The customer service is beyond awful. I think I could have filed a verbal assault charge . Kathleen Hickey made it clear today was her last day and she behaved as though she was on the street corner . This was my first and last experience at this Enterprise location . Also, the interior of car was dirty even after two supposedly attempts to clean it up. Im particular about cleanliness, but not unreasonably so. I've had some poor experiences with customer service but this location is the worst bar none. read more

Flew in from Southern Califronia. Made a reservation on a Friday for pick-up at 6pm. I called twice to tell them I will be there exactly at 6. They said okay see you soon. I get there at 5:59 and the doors are locked. People inside letting the phone ring and a woman comes out the back door, around front, and just stares at me then goes back inside around back. Very displeased. Not only that, but made ANOTHER reservation since I obviously couldn't get my reserved rental that night and made it for the next morning. I get there and the guy at the counter was super rude and careless. I felt like I was a bother. Because he was being rude, I said nevermind thank you. And he said okay fine. I've used this location for years as they are only 4.2 miles from my house and I traveled frequently for the government. They were always prompt with a pick-up at my home if I needed it. I recently rented again with them to drive to Northern VA for a meeting. They are open early (like 7 or 7:30) which is good if you need to make an afternoon meeting. After I called to ask for a pickup at my house, I received a call back telling me that I needed to use a different location because my house was not in their area anymore. They gave me the contact info of the other location and told me to get a car from them. They informed me that the other location didn't open till 8 though, which was going to impact my schedule. I ended up driving my own car in and parking in order to keep my reservation. I complained to the assistant manager on site about why I had used their service for years and all of a sudden I was out of their range, then when I asked her for a copy of the policy that showed the new pickup rules and area served, she said she was not allowed to give that to me. After I cooled down from my upsetting start to my travel, they brought me a Chevy Malibu, which was nice since I only reserved a compact. During the walk-around I asked, "does it have a full tank?" and she checked and said it's just under 1/8 of a tank. She said that it was O.K., and I could just return the car with the same 1/8th of a tank. I then proceeded to explain why it is not fair to the customer to have to try and judge how much fuel they will use so they can get the car back to Chesapeake with just enough gas to be 1/8 of a tank without running out, or the customer ends up leaving free gas in the tank for Enterprise in order to make sure they get home. This angered me more than the new pickup rules! She asked if I wanted the car topped off and I said yes. So I had to wait some more till I finally got a serviceable rental car. I almost wonder if this is a little scam by this franchise to have their cars returned with a little extra customer-provided fuel each time! Please, Enterprise, what is so hard about topping off the tanks for the customers? read more
