The gentleman helping us was nice. He was one of the managers he got me into a Hyundai Sonata. Seemed perfect for my use. During the paperwork he told me that he "hooked me up" with the managers package. After my questioning, he explained if anything went wrong with the vehicle I was not liable. He said it would take the place of the regular insurance usually purchased. Although I appreciated it, I chose the other insurance also. Kind of like a stacker in case something unheard of may happen. Everything seemed fine. He told me he could take it in to vacuum it real quick if I would like. As I looked inside there were a few stray grass clippings but I didn't need it spotless. Just get me to and from work the next few days. So I drove away in my Hyundai a happy man. 2 days later I heard word in my car. I called the customer service number as it was after hours. I explained I could drop it off in an hr or 2. But asked since it was after hrs if I would already be charged for another day. "Depends". Was the answer I got. Do I asked how so? She said well if It was due back by 6 the you will be. But if not you won't. II told her if I'm getting charged for another day I'll just keep it another day. "Well you're going to pay extra" she stated. I'm aware, but since I'm already locked in to the extra day being as it's 6:15 now, I may as well just keep it. "Well of it was due at 6 you should just drop it off now" she added. I said well thank you but I'll go ahead and get my moneys worth and keep it "that's fine but they may charge you more if it was due in and ur late". I said so because I'm late they are going to jack up the price? "Ya they can". I said well if they are I'll bring it back open what price does it show? "Well idk I can't see it on my computer you won't now till u get the bill". Well then, I. Was getting kind of irritated now, I I'll still have to pay it so again I'll keep the car "fine' she says and I hung up. The next evening I headed out with my mother behind me to exchange cars. I told mine to the carwash and vacuumed it. Even the trunk. And then drove to Arnold. I stopped at the closest gas station to the rental place and told them inside needed to fill up but didn't know how much it would take. He said just pump it till it clicked. So I did. I went back in and paid at register, thanked him and left. I thanked my mom for the assistance and following me. She had actually used her credit card because all I had in me was a debit card they won't accept debit. I walked inside to another gentleman who said you dropping off,! I said yessir. Do I l I'm eft. I was fine until 5 days later. My mom called and told me on her credit card for those 3 days she was charged $765.00. . After contacting them for 3 days I reached someone who asked for a lot of info llleading me to eventually call with my mother now on day 4. I had to call with my mother on the line. I asked the gentleman when they closed. He told me 9pm they closed at 7. By day 5 I knew I was getting strung around. finally reached them The lady then said she would email a decision in a few days. S days later mom calls again. They charged for me being the driver her the cardholder. . My mom then explained again about the mgr the hookup etc. The lady told us she would look into it again and see what could be done.. 3 more days passed. We got another email. This time a different manager. L. She then started it was actually because I didn't gas it up before dropping it off. My mom told them which gas station I went to , what time, even a description of the person working as I remembered. I added on there if they needed proof I could be seen on the stores camera I'm sure on that day and time getting gas and dropping it off. Yet once again the new manager stated she would ","talk to the gas statíon and get back to us. We are now on about day 10 of verbal disagreement.. A 3rd email from yet another different manager. ----see a pattern forming here??......the last email now stated after investigation it was a fee for not vacuuming when I returned the vehicle.At this point we were done. My mother and I demanded pics of the vehicle when they accepted it to show us what proof they had of a $450, vacuum job that needed to be done It has been 4 days and we have not heard back from themb Just simply a crooked company running shady corrupt business in our turn of Arnold Mo Iif you Google the same situation, it shows up as a scam with numerous others telling a very similar story.! I will not let this go!

Great adventure!…read more Floating the Missouri River, from Blanchette Park, which is almost a baseball throw from the I-370 / Discovery Bridge... to... Sioux Passage Park in North County, right where the Missouri hits what looks like the apex of the curve, almost Arch-like in shape... this journey is mostly north... and when the river starts to flow back south, you take out at Sioux Passage Park (the Native Americans / indigenous people would save 20+ miles paddling by carrying canoes and items from the Mississippi to the Missouri and back). The canoes are about 20 feet long; single seats fore and aft for Big Muddy leaders; 4-5 dual seats in between... so you'll paddle one side at at time. Super steady. The river... so calm so quiet. A few weeks earlier, our daughter and I went fly fishing in Wyoming... small town; quiet... and still we'd hear a periodic pickup truck off in the distance. This Big Muddy journey... the Missouri River... the longest river in North America... once we passed Lambert's flight path, we hear no vehicles... zero... zip... zilch... none... not a single vehicle... so peaceful. This journey includes three stages... 1) Blanchette to the first stop where we all got out and stretched and floated in an eddy (backward current) - calm and smooth and save. 2) that island to the next for lunch 3) that island to Sioux Passage Park about one hour rowing in between... time depends on your canoe's paddlers... some are stronger than others... Enjoy the float... enjoy it wondrously. Big Mddy provides dry bags... they can readily hold a backpack and plenty of smaller items... the top rolls over and clicks close, nice and tight and dry. Clothes... you'll get sweaty... your feel will likely get sandy+dirty / dirty+sandy... that's part of the run of the trip. bring a charger for your phone... enjoy the float enjoy the nature enjoy your fellow canoeists enjoy the Big Muddy leaders THANK YOU, BIG MUDDY ADVENTURES, FOR ALL YOU DO FOR US AND ST. We parked across the street from the Four Seasons Hotel and the bus picked us up right in their covered driveway. The trolley itself is fantastic. It has the charming, classic look of an old-fashioned trolley but with modern upgrades that make a big difference. It had excellent air conditioning and a high-quality sound system so you could hear the driver. The ride was smooth and comfortable, even on some of the older city streets. Our driver was outstanding. He handled the tour beautifully, especially considering the fact that I am fairly certain that we had to take a completely different route because a sinkhole had opened up downtown that day. Despite the detour, he never missed a beat. His narration was engaging, informative, and full of details about the city's history and landmarks as we passed them by. He made the whole experience fun and enjoyable. The route took us through Forest Park, one of the highlights of the tour. We passed by the St. Louis Zoo and several other beautiful areas within the park. Our driver even stopped for about five minutes in front of the museum, where we were able to enjoy the excellent views across the park. It was a perfect little break in the tour. After leaving Forest Park, we wound our way back through the city, traveling through Midtown and seeing many of St. Louis's other notable sights to include a beautiful church. Overall, it was a very well-run, informative, and enjoyable tour. The combination of the comfortable trolley, excellent driver, and beautiful route made it one of the best city tours we've taken. I would definitely do it again and highly recommend it to anyone visiting St. Louis.
