St. Louis Flight Training Center is nothing like some training center, here the atmosphere is friendly and comfortable - conducive to learning. We parked across the street from the Four Seasons Hotel and the bus picked us up right in their covered driveway. The trolley itself is fantastic. It has the charming, classic look of an old-fashioned trolley but with modern upgrades that make a big difference. It had excellent air conditioning and a high-quality sound system so you could hear the driver. The ride was smooth and comfortable, even on some of the older city streets. Our driver was outstanding. He handled the tour beautifully, especially considering the fact that I am fairly certain that we had to take a completely different route because a sinkhole had opened up downtown that day. Despite the detour, he never missed a beat. His narration was engaging, informative, and full of details about the city's history and landmarks as we passed them by. He made the whole experience fun and enjoyable. The route took us through Forest Park, one of the highlights of the tour. We passed by the St. Louis Zoo and several other beautiful areas within the park. Our driver even stopped for about five minutes in front of the museum, where we were able to enjoy the excellent views across the park. It was a perfect little break in the tour. After leaving Forest Park, we wound our way back through the city, traveling through Midtown and seeing many of St. Louis's other notable sights to include a beautiful church. Overall, it was a very well-run, informative, and enjoyable tour. The combination of the comfortable trolley, excellent driver, and beautiful route made it one of the best city tours we've taken. I would definitely do it again and highly recommend it to anyone visiting St. Louis.

The tour could be a little difficult to hear at times (even though i was trying to sit close to a speaker) but what I did hear provided interesting details about the St Louis riverfront downtown area that you won't learn during a visit to the Arch. A wonderful tour of an Iconic beer brewery…read more This facility is south of downtown St Louis, Mo by less than 2 miles. You drive south on I-55 and it will be on the river side. The signs make it easy to find. Parking is right in front of the visitors center. You have to enter through a security portal. Please make reservations ahead of traveling there. We had places on the brewery and Clydesdale tours. The brewery tour began on time with tours leaving about every 1/2 hour. Our group had about 18 people. For the mobility impaired, please be aware that there is a good amount of walking and some of it is down hills and up stairs. They took us to the Clydesdale barn first and then to the brewery down the hill stopping at several places along the way to show us various sites. The tour guide did a great job of showing the various brewing steps both in a classroom setting and then in the factory/brewery proper. We had 3 different opportunities to sample their beers along the tour. At the end of the tour you are at the bottom of the hill from the visitors center so they thoughtfully had a trolley bus ready to drive us back to the departure point. Overall, it was a wonderful tour that really showed what a great brewery should look like. I highly recommend this tour for any one in the area and want to see a great working brewery and understand the beer making process.

On April 9, 2025, Shannon Nickless requested a $100 deposit, which I promptly paid. On May 7, I sent a reminder text to confirm the booking, as prom was just three days away. On the day of the event, May 10, Shannon called to say he would be 20-30 minutes late. He was originally scheduled to arrive at 7:00 PM. When I called back for an update, he didn't answer. At 7:20 PM, he finally responded, claiming that the horse had thrown a shoe but that he was still coming. Shortly after, another person--who identified himself as Shannon's boss--called to say the carriage was blocked in and they would not be coming at all. This last-minute cancellation completely ruined an important part of my daughter's prom night. I immediately requested a refund, but Shannon has not responded to calls, texts, or emails. As of today, I have received no refund. I recently spoke to another carriage company and was told I'm not the only one who has had a similar experience with Shannon. Based on my experience and what I've heard from others, I do not recommend Claddagh Carriage Company.
