Today, I encountered Moussa Sall (Area Rental Manager) because the store manager was out with a basketball injury. Made a reservation today for 5 pm. It went through but when we got there, we were told their only SUV was scheduled to be picked up at 6 but they had until 6:30 to pick up, even though they close at 6:00. I'm like so I need to come back at 6? And they said no, they have until 6:30 to pick up. So I said I come back at 6:30 and they said no, we're closed. So they said I can come in tomorrow to see what they have but they should have one by 1:00 pm. I can't get there at 1 pm. Why would they accept a reservation for a SUV they didn't have? They offered a car, but I have to get an 84-year-old man in and out of it and a Malibu just isn't gonna work. Geesh! read more

This has to be by far the worst enterprise location in the city of Memphis. I reserved an suv a week or so in advance upon pickup was then informed that the vehicle I needed was not an option. The manager they is very hard to deal with a lacks basic communication skills. We wasn't able to use our debit card for unknown reasons with the only exception being I paid my utility bill to a zero balance before I could use MY debit card. This is my second time trying to go through them and I would not recommend this place to my worst enemy! If I could give this establishment lower than a 1 star rating I would. read more

Avoid this location. This is my second time trying to rent here, and once again, I was reminded why I prefer going to the airport. Despite a lot full of cars, they claimed no vehicles were available and later revealed they don't accommodate one-way drop-offs. With over 150 rental days this year, this is far from acceptable service. Do yourself a favor and go to another location or try a different vendor. read more

After being told that they didn't have a car for me to take, even though I had a reservation, the customer service representative named Cam was dismissive and condescending. He would not call around to try finding another car, told me that I "was out of luck, and I have a business to run". Wow, this is a service business? I will never go to Enterprise Rent -A-Car again. Slow. DMV, doctors office and Enterprise - bring a book. Three customers waiting and one attendant helping another customer. They were treating her well, which is why they get 2 stars, but a 20 minutes wait when a reservation is already in place = fail. It's worth the drive to the airport for Hertz. read more

This location is the WORST. They didn't have my reservation ready, even tho they were called two hours prior to ensure I wouldn't have to wait. The car they put me in was low on gas and now has mechanical issues and won't crank. I've called them 7 tImes and after ringing they pick up and hang up. I'll NEVER do business with them again. I'm calling a different location now to see if they can help get me in a car that actually cranks. read more

Justin took good care of us! I've rented from Enterprise Rent-A-Car a ton and I must say, he did a great job. Last minute rental wasn't a problem for Justin even though they were very busy. He didn't make excuses like the first 3 Enterprise locations I went to, he just satisfied the customer and I must say he drives a hard bargain too. He's an Assistant Manager for now but Not for long. I had a surprising pleasant experience with my rental. The car was ready for pick up when I arrived- the entire staff was friendly and professional. When I returned the vehicle, they drove me to pick up my vehicle that was at the body shop. Caroline and the rest of the staff are top notch. read more

Extremely slow. Waited in line 30 minutes and no one even acknowledged we were there. Did not have the car that we reserved. Multiple more people staffed inside but are just talking to each other- not appearing to be working. Next time I'll definitely use a different rental car place or location even though this was closest to where I needed it. read more

The team is always polite and professional. I rent from this store 1-2 times a month and wouldn't rent from another company. They always treat their customers with respect and will go out of their way to help everyone. The only downside is the turnover of staff. This is a downside for me, but a great thing for their team members. Many of them move on for better opportunities within the company. read more

Every single time I come to this location it's issues, it can't ever be a smooth transaction like every other Enterprise I deal with. It doesn't matter if you make a reservation a week before or the day before, they never have your car ready. Then they want to argue with you because they didn't have your scheduled pick up time at 8:00am ready and it's almost 9:00am, with no cars on the lot!!! This place is great. It's convenient for me which is a huge plus, but the staff are wonderful too. Any time I've gone here, the staff have always been friendly and helpful. Their rates are really affordable too, it starts off at something like $30/day or something. A bonus too is this is one of the few places in Memphis that will let you rent a car without a credit card. You just have to bring in a current bill showing proof of address and that there's no past due balance, and you're set. No crazy hoops to jump through or anything. read more

Overall experience was good. However I wanted to return the vehicle early, I called and was told by an in-office customer service rep that I would receive a credit for returning 3 days earlier. The vehicle I was given smelled so strongly of deodorizer that it was almost undriveable. Limited business hours prevented me from trying something different but I don't think it would have made a difference as they likely clean all their cars this way. The office staff were good and the renting and returning process were smooth. However, based on by experience, if you miss anything to pick from the car before you return you car, you will NOT get them back. I missed to pick up a few items from the car when I returned the car; so went back to their office within 30 minutes; searched the car but none of the items were found. Since the car was already cleaned, checked with a cleaning staff and they said they did not seen them as well. One of the items lost was an access card; that was placed on the dashboard near the driver side windshield to open my office building's gate. I know for sure it was there since it opened the gate in the morning I went to my office. So MAKE SURE you check the car thoroughly and retrieve all your items before you return it. read more

We reserved a car a week in advance. Enterprise called to confirm the night before and we told them yes, we would be there. Upon arrival to the Enterprise location on Germantown Pkwy, I noticed there weren't any cars in the parking lot and got a little concerned. When we went in, Larry informed us that because we were a 30 minutes late we would have to wait from 30 minutes to 3 hours for a car to return. So we asked him if the vehicles in the lot were available and he said "No", those are reserved. Well, where was our reserved car! We went to the Covington Pike Enterprise location and got a car and was on the road 2 hours later. Larry was extremely rude, never offered to find us a vehicle at another location and wanted to make us feel like it was all our fault when we know this is their normal procedure. I hope we never have to do business with them again. read more

Quick and very friendly. I pick up a car 1-2 times a month and they are have my car waiting (well at least in the wash bay) and paperwork takes no time at all. They are a 1 mile from I-40 so after picking up the car I'm on my way out of town. read more

extremely poor service. waited over a half hour to return a car, which took only took 3 minutes. was then told that they stopped driving to the body shop, where my car was, at 12 even though we got there at 11:15. was basically told to figure it out ourselves. THANKFULLY, Justin the manager offered to call us an uber personally. Another very good experience with Enterprise over the Christmas holidays in Memphis! The combination of rental rates, vehicle quality and cleanliness are again the best available. The holidays are the busiest time of year yet the service was fast, thorough and courteous. The additional service of being picked up and dropped off before and after the rental is a necessary convenience for me. All in all, the customer service and staffer were great, quick and easy; car clean, well maintained and drove nicely. read more

Very rude staff. Dirty and dinged up cars and always making excuses about short staff. I am a Avis first member and gave a chance but this branch has been consistently over promising and under delivering. I have also observed multiple times staff being rude to other waiting customers when slapping rules and policies. Clay has always tried to make it right but overall branch service is dis satisfactory. I am canceling my future reservations and going back to Avis. read more

Normally a good experience with Enterprise. Definitely NOT today. Was in line for over 25 minutes. When it was my turn for check-in, the full size SUV I had reserved was "not clean yet". I pointed over at the just-cleaned GMC Yukon Denali and was told that I would have to pay for the upcharge for Premium. I elected to wait for the other vehicle to be cleaned (which turned out to be an Expedition, which is considered a "premium SUV" - more on this shortly). I watched it sit in the parking lot for another 45 minutes while other vehicles came out clean and customers behind me left in their rental. When I asked how much longer, I was told" very soon". Next thing you know, she goes and gets the vehicle and takes it for about 2 minutes (not exaggerating) and brings it around absolutely disgustingly dirty with bugs and grime all over the front. I told her that it needed to be cleaned (we had waited this long). She mentioned" well, you appeared that you were in a hurry". Seriously? She drove it to the stall and she brought it back around in less than 5 minutes, with minimal cleaning - looked like a kid put a sprinkler on it. By that time, I asked her if it was at least sanitized on the inside due to the COVID requirements. I was told, "oh, yes". Yeah, like I believed that! I drove it home windows down and sprayed Lysol inside. Meanwhile (yes, this gets even better). I get an alert that my credit card was billed almost twice the amount that I had reserved the vehicle for. I called them back. Come to find out they charged me for the premium vehicle cost since I was given an Expedition (so she was obviously incorrect in her assumption that it was a standard suv). The WHOLE time I was waiting for a clean vehicle, which I never received, I could have been given the one that was just cleaned right when she was checking me in. Unbelievable! I will be taking it through the carwash before our trip just so I can have a clean windshield and rear window. Poor, poor, poor customer service, Enterprise. Very disappointed. Will not come back to this location again! read more

The problem is that the cars are never really clean. About half the time I take them to a car wash the day I pick them up. The other half of he time I have to at least clean the inside front and rear glass. I had a low tire this year that had to be replaced which caused me a four hour delay. Same thing happened last year and I had to add air myself. Three or four times there was no or very low fluid for the windshield washer. I doubt they do much of an inspection before renting. read more

When I went to the dealership the first tried to give me a car that smelled like smoke and was all dented and dirty. The car that the finally out me in was real dirty too had to clean it myself. I have rented cars from the location several times before and they have a problem delivering the expectation of clean car, which is basic. My suggestion is try another location or company! read more

The car I rented had mechanical issue and when I tried to returned for another vehicle I was told they didn't have another try another enterprise they didn't have one either they made no effort for me to have a vehicle in time for work.
