Worst experience I've ever had with the Cortland enterprise location. I've rented vehicles off of you guys before and have never been charged for these additional charges before. My co-worker and I just rented a car on Saturday and everything about the renting process from start to finish was perfect minus the horrendous behavior of some other customers in front of us. I have literally never witnessed such vile behavior by anyone in person in my life. These girls were abominable and should be ashamed of themselves. Conversely, the person behind the counter, Ian, remained professional, helpful, patient and kind. I was extremely impressed with his ability to handle these unsavory characters and situation. Despite rude and demanding customers, Ian kept right on doing a great job, gave us a perfectly cleaned car with additional cleaning amenities and took the time needed to show us the car and answer our questions. I also appreciated the communication and follow up of Kyle today. These guys did a great job and we will be renting from here again. Thank you! read more

I had a wonderful experience with this location and their staff. I unexpectedly needed to rent a car the morning of a business trip- literally 1.5 hours before I had to leave. The staff was accommodating and met my need with a smile. They assisted me with some complicated tax exempt issues for the rental and the car was clean, in great shape and quite current. They checked in after one day to make sure everything was going well, which I thought was nice. And for the 5 star part....was how accommodating they were to get me home. I knew they would take me somewhere nearby if I needed but they drove me right to my house that was 15 minutes away from their location without as much as a sigh. Wonderful service! read more

I rented a car from Fairview New Jersey and I drove to New York and engine light came up for some reason. I called their office and they told me that you have to go to the nearest location of enterprise which is Courtland NY. There was a manager there and he told me that there is no car for now, it takes 3 to 4 hour the get a new car. After a few minutes later he told me that I have a car it just needs to the oil change. I said it is ok. On the Other hand, he told me that your thang half. I told him I can go to the gas station and filled up. He said ok. when you got here, your car will be ready for use. then I filled up the gas and drove their parking lot. When I got there he just gave me the keys and he said you good to go. I took to the car and drove to New Jersey. When I return the car they checked the car and they told me that there are many scratches top of the car and I said I did not know that and nobody show me there are many scratches top of the car. I told them the car was an oil change there must be a camera in there and their parking lot. They still hold my $250.00 for three weeks. I am a University professor I teach the good things for students and I don't tell the lie but I know how to follow legal procedures. This guy at the office do not deserve the work there because he did not do his job and create disaster for cutomers. read more

I rented a mid-size SUV to go out of state just over a week ago. I have to say, Enterprise shines in comparison to other rental companies! They are flawless from start to finish! Our family will never rent from any other car company again. We've used others and been treated like just a number because we aren't in their "elite" club. One star because zero isn't an option. HIGHLY disappointed. My daughter (who is 26 and recently moved back home in order to finish college, but works full time) attempted to rent a car. Went online, then called. Made reservation. Went in person the day before renting just to make sure she had everything she needed. Specifically asked if it would be OK to use her debit card, if she needed any additional deposit, etc. Even said out loud to the clerk "This seems too good to be true!". IT WAS TOO GOOD TO BE TRUE. She showed up today to pick up her car and was told she needed a major credit card (which she does not have), or pay stubs and a utility bill in her name (she lives with us and we own our home, so there are no bills in her name and no lease agreement). She left without a vehicle and cannot go on her major trip that she planned for far in advance, took time off work for, and triple checked on the car rental arrangements for (even asking if she could use her debit card rather than a credit card). The customer service and disclosures are unacceptably poor at this company. THUMBS DOWN. read more
