I had booked car for 3 months for which had to visit every month to Renew my contract.. Paid good pricing and never negotiated much. In fact stuck with same car the whole time... The free pick up and drop service is offered to each customer.. When I finally have my car back at 5:20 in the evening. I am told the driver cannot drop you home It was a snowy day with 10 deg outside and enterprise refused to drop me home. In fact 10 mins after talking they said they would drop me near my home but not home and I was still okay... But guess what suddenly they just said no and said you can go on a taxi or call some friend of yours After giving a business of 3k in last 3 months, am I not expected to get this much. I was given a reason that it's too late for the driver to return. I never got a taxi from there and my friend took 1 hour to. Come. Worst possible place to book a vehicle ! I wish some higher management looks into this carefully.. read more

THIS IS THE CAR RENTAL PLACE. The -1117 number is for truck rental. First rate service, very convenient (about 0.1 miles away from Burghart's auto repair shop, another gem). They will pick you up and drop you off. You can reserve thru Hotwire. What other reason do you need to use these guys? Use them already. read more

I had recently had a car brought to me because my car is getting some body work down to it. Upon looking it over, there were quite a few scuffs and scratches around the outside which is "normal" I suppose for a rental. But when getting in the car, I was completely appalled by how the interior was. Mind you, this is all during COVID-19, where everyone and everything Should be sanitized. This car looked like it was never cleaned ever. The amount of dirt and crumbs and dust was incredible. There were Stains all over the seats. This car was definitely not cleaned or sanitized and if it was, then they(enterprise) needs to reevaluate who they have cleaning cars because it was totally unacceptable to be rented out to a customer. After driving it not even 10 ft from where it was dropped off to me, there was a loud rattling coming from the back. Didn't stop. As I'm driving I'm looking over the car and notice that the inspection is just about 3 months PAST DUE! (I know they are being "lenient" with inspections but again, don't think it's acceptable. I decided to call the location I had received the car from and explained everything. The manager(Chris) had me bring the car back to swap out for another. Okay, great right? I get to the office and he quickly put me in another vehicle, without walking me around or inspecting it, just stating all scuff are wear and tear and have been noted. Meanwhile I'm noticing quite a bit more of "wear and tear" than what should be acceptable. He seemed rushed. I got in the car, and was blown away with a strong cologne scent that seemed to be sprayed to cover up the strong overwhelming smell of cigarettes , and again, this car didn't look like it was cleaned. As soon as I started the car I instantly got a message that said "maintenance required, see dealership". At this point I was so frustrated with this entire experience I headed home. I don't take COVID-19 lightly and my wife is pregnant so we take every precaution necessary. And driving off with the car, I had to stop at a grocery store to get sanitizing wipes and I had wiped down the whole car, because again it didn't seem to be cleaned. The more I drove the car, the strong cologne scent wore of leaving the lingering cigarette smell, I'm assuming was trying to be covered up. The longer I have the car the stronger the smell gets. Also, trying to lock this car seems almost impossible. When you hit the lock function on the fob, it doesn't do anything. You have to hit it multiple times including hitting unlock then lock again to even get get the fob to work, not to mention you have to be right next to the drivers side door for this function to work. At this point I have zero time to exchange it and have to make due with it until my car is done being repaired. The cars being rented out at the East Syracuse, NY location look, and drive like, they were found on the side of the road. It's really unacceptable how these cars are, especially during a pandemic. read more

Great service! I had to make some last minute changes to a reservation and they were very accommodating. I ended up with a nice upgrade and the pick up / return process couldn't have been any faster. I wish they were allowed to rent large passenger vans but I guess they can't do that in NYS. read more

I have rented cars from this location many times, primarily for business. They are fast, courteous, and are always available to assist in my needs. It is close to my house so if I need a pick up or drop off, I am always able to arrange it in advance. The last car I rented could have been a bit cleaner but it really wasn't an issue for me. Please please please stay away!!! I am warning you! I had an accident on 3/11/18 in which I booked a rental at the enterprise 1-800 number in which they said I had a few minutes to get to this location before they closed. I got there and this wise ass kid named Ryan said "we don't take reservations past Friday. I cannot build you a car to rent." The lot was full of cars! They just did not want to work at the end of the day. My billion dollar corporation uses this company and gets cars all the time including me. Since I'm an executive in the company I'm going to urge management to go to Hertz. This level of customer service is beyond shockingly bad! read more

On Friday, April, 17, 2020 I rented a vehicle, for 17 days, from Enterprise car rental at 6716 Manlius Center rd., East Syracuse, N.Y. 13057. I drove out of town, over the weekend, and noticed a wheel alignment issue, with the car, as soon as I got on the Interstate. When I made it back home on Monday, April 20, 2020, I took the vehicle back to the branch for a switch-out, and the male rep that serviced me told me to take the vehicle down the street to Monroe muffler, an auto repair shop that services that branch's vehicles, but I was headed to work in an hour, and didn't have time to wait in a repair shop, while my rental got fixed, so I told the rep' that I wanted compensation for my time, and he immediately got an attitude with me, and said he doesn't want to put me in another car because he would have to go in and do paperwork to switch me out. This incensed me so I demanded that he switch cars with me, and after a few tense seconds he stormed off into the building to make the changes. As a customer who rented a car from this location, I shouldn't have had to go through those tense moments, with that employee, just to get a safer vehicle, which, one should have been given me at my initial pick up, 2 days before! read more

i've rented a handful of cars from enterprise, and up until now, i have had exemplary service. i only rented cars from enterprise when i lived in DC and they were fantastic. syracuse is a different story. the car i rented was nice and somewhat clean, besides the french fries and q-tips stuck in between the seat and the middle console. it happens though. not a big deal. the thing that bothered me was that there wasn't an auxiliary cord. i thought all cars after 2008 came equipped with an aux cord in the dash. apparently not. again, not a big deal. the radio worked. so besides changing stations every 4 minutes, i made it to my destination unharmed and that's the important part. but what really made me give two stars instead of five, was because i brought the car back at around 5:20. the customer service representative checked the car, had me sign paperwork and said, "everything looks good. have a good one" and sent me on my way. i said, "can i get a ride back to (my home)" and he said, "we don't have a driver available at the moment." now normally, i would say, "oh ok." but there were FOUR other people available in the establishment, two of which were looking at something on the internet and clearly not for work purposes due to their laughing and snickering. so i got on the phone to try to find a ride and i stood outside waiting. t's now 6 o clock and the location is closing for the day. it was then that every single worker walked by me unconcerned at the fact that i was technically stranded. but then again why would anybody want to work harder than they're supposed to in order to help someone out, right? i hope management can figure this out, considering i am not the only one this has happened to, after reading other reviews. read more

So, this is in addition to my review of 8/11/2017. I received an email from their General Manager, Michael Taffner offering me again a discount on a future rental. I do not need a discount on a future rental nor does my daughter whose wedding was impacted because of no rental van need a future rental since she is blind and cannot drive. I responded to the email and expressed my dissatisfaction and the fact that Enterprise just doesn't know how to resolve a situation that was the fault of its organization. Giving me a discount for a future rental does not make up for the service we received. Poor customer service in my opinion. read more

Sneaky car representatives!!!! I had an accident and Enterprise was my designated rental car company for Geico Insurance. They showed me the car, paper work, told me everything will be cover by Geico. A week later I returned they charged me extra insurance costs that I did not acknowledge even though I signed. They did not explain when I signed that it will be cost so and so. They are very sneaky and I will never deal with this particular Enterprise again or every Enterprise.. read more

I needed to rent a car because my vehicle was getting worked on in the shop. I chose Enterprise because it was close to my home. I booked my reservation through Priceline, and was confused about the deposit so I called Enterprise's 1-800 # and was told if I was using a debit card, which I was, they would hold an additional $100 over my rental price and I also needed proof of employment along with a current utility bill. I arrived for my reservation and had to wait 15 minutes at the desk for someone to appear. This facility is completely understaffed. Many people walked in and walked back out. After finally being helped by the manager, which was very professional, he told me I would be charged $300 for a debit card hold instead of just the $100 over the rental estimate. I was unhappy about this. This was not what Enterprise told me, so I had to split the cost of the deposit between two cards. The car given to me was fine. Remember you get what you pay for. I dropped off the rental the very next day and once again waited 15-20 minutes to be helped due to understaff. Customers were rude and the staff at this facility were running around frantic. It took me almost an hour to return my vehicle and then it took an additional 24 hours to be sent my receipt via email because they're system was glitching. I don't think I'll be renting from this facility again in the future. But I will strongly suggest they hire more people to make things less hectic on the only two people working there both days that I saw. read more

I've rented from enterprise a number of times but this particular branch was my first experience. The general staff there were very helpful and friendly enough. The car I got was decent besides the durag hair cap and a snack wrapper stuck between the seats. That was very minor and the overall experience was great until I had asked for a ride back to my residence at 5:00pm. The driver that was delegated to taking me back was an older gentleman. He was very rude to me, going as far as to talk to me condescendingly when I could not give him my directions in the manner that HE wanted them. I had explained to him that I had just recently moved into the area and so was not as familiar as most would be with giving exact directions but that I could however direct him. He was arrogant and rude and left a bitter end to my otherwise satisfied experience with the customer service! The general service is great but the driver will be their downfall. read more
