I've been renting with enterprise for years when I travel. Today I went inside mind you I had already booked online with my drivers license and payment information. And I couldn't get the rental because I have a Illinois driver license. No major credit card. So I'm extremely upset I had to take my daughter back to school. Reserved a vehicle almost a month before our trip. Got the check in email and checked in for the rental, added payment method, etc. only to get to the location for pick up and have them tell me the vehicle I reserved is not available. Claimed they called and left a message, and if I wanted that vehicle I would have to call other locations myself. Never sent an email, notified us in the app, or made sure we knew we no longer had a vehicle reserved. Worst customer service I have ever received renting vehicles. They screw up and they don't care that you now have to search frantically for a vehicle to leave for a trip. Don't rent from this location! read more

When I had to take it back an enterprise east pointe Michigan this past Saturday they were very rude and the lady asked me if I seen the lady inside and I told her I was for sure I seen her and then she began talking to me in a very rude way saying okkkayy now let's go over what we're going to put in your statement & then the employee female took over. I was taken outside and so to make a long story short I wasn't properly aware of any damage to the vehicle and now they are bullying me I'm 57 yrs old with a heart condition and so since the First Lady initially was there and everyone is scrambling to take up for her makes no sense to me but whatever. We had a flash flood in Warren and my car was totaled and I could not get an enterprise to help me out with a car that my insurance was paying for. None of the branches answered the phone so I decided to drive up to the Eastpointe location and the branch manager Takara Garth instantly ran over to help me when she heard me telling my story. I was so distraught thinking we weren't going to pay our bills because we have no car. People usually like to leave bad reviews, but I really felt like this was important to acknowledge her and how professional and nice. They did not have my car after I made a reservation. The next day I finally got the car and mentioned reservations are for holding a car. If the car is not the available that is not a reservation. They still charged me $60 a day for a Corolla seriously. Then they made me drive to three locations to drop off a car. First to Eastpointe then to Roseville because it was closer to the dealer and then the Roseville location told me to drop it at the dealer because it would be 40 minutes before I got a one mile ride. I am never one to leave reviews but I had to due to how horrible of an experience I had from this place. I am appalled at how pathetic this business is. The last time I rented from them was about a year ago. We were blamed for damaging the back bumper of the rental car. While the car was in the front parking lot and I was inside dropping it off and giving the keys my wife took pictures of the vehicle, just as a precaution as we'd heard it is a good idea in case we have a false accusation against us. We then got a call back from them saying we damaged the back bumper of the car. Note that this WASN'T while the guy was outside checking it off - he gave it a green light. They said they found it afterwards (?). They took money out of our account for the supposed "damage". We then argued the claim and used our pictures and constantly battle called them. This didn't really go anywhere so they sent it to their collision shop or whatever to have it "fixed". While at the shop they determined that it actually wasn't damaged (because it wasn't) and that it looked like a scratch when it was just snow or dirt or whatever - so like I told them we never got in any accident... A few months later we picked up the check they owed us for the false claim. Stupidly I thought I would just forgive/move on from the whole situation; as it seemed like it was a misunderstanding or very easily could have been. I now know this wasn't the case and regret my decision. My wife set up for us to go back over to Enterprise Rent-A-Car in Eastpointe since our van is getting repairs. She sets it all up over the phone - what car to get, how much, etc. We are told over the phone that it will take 2 min. to complete the transaction and we'll be able to drive away in their car. We get there by Uber thinking we would be leaving in their rental. After I give them my I.D. AND my credit card #, they say that I'm on their "Do Not Rent List". I ask why and believe it had to have something to do with the "accident" they accused us of previously. They brought up that month so it had to be associated with that car rental. Turns out they have no info of the accident, no info of the return check, no info of any of that. Instead in it's place it says that we had the car longer than we were supposed to and they had to "send out their repo team" to try and find a car that most likely was IN THEIR OWN SHOP being falsely repaired for damages that never happened. It's simply b.s. - A "repo team" coming to get a car and me not knowing anything about it the whole time while having the same phone # and address? Yeah... right. absolute fabricated b.s. there was no repo it was FABRICATED. Or their stupid enough to not log that they took our car for damages and it was in their shop while they thought we still had it. However this doesn't make sense since I never got a call, never had "the repo team" show up at my house, never had anything of the sort. The only conclusion I can make then is that it was fabricated, they falsely put down that we had a "repo" while they were the ones in the wrong "fixing" a car that didn't require repairs. I remember really battling with them during that whole time. I believe they got salty about it and lied on their report. I have no other explanation for what happened. I then try to explain this to a guy named Kyle at the front desk. He cuts me off and goes "are you such and such living at such and such place?" and I of course said yes. He says "while unless there's another person living there with your exact name and I.D. info, it's you that had the car too long and had to have our repo team sent out." Furthermore he didn't have any info of what had happened prior, didn't check a simple "Do Not Rent" list so we didn't have to pay 2 Uber trips that were unnecessary and they logged my credit card # before telling us any of this (scammy). I now have a false accusation on my account there for a repo that never happened, a damage report that we payed money for that never happened either, nor is any of it even documented but in it's place is some repo lie. To add to all of this the guy immediately acted like I was making up some story to try and get the car rental. There was no way I was about to rent a car from them after finding out this b.s. claim of a repo along with no documentation of what actually happened. I simply wanted to state what happened so he could at least know my opinion that they have people working for them that are ok falsifying records. This place is scammy, they are rude, they don't do their job, they have their heads in the clouds. PLEASE DO NOT GO HERE! I would never give such a pathetic place of business my money. I regret ever going there in the first place. Called their "risk management" number only to get pushed into voicemail. This place is absolute corrupt scam trash. Worst experience ever. I've rented cars from Enterprise for almost 30 years and they found some dent on the passenger side of my car upon return. One that could have been there all along hardly can see it and the guy who showed me the car skirted me quickly around more interested in showing me his magnifying glass. So my car sat parked for most of the week because I was out of town for Christmas and than got socked with a 300 plus bill! A scam artist lurks in old familiar places. Never again! read more

I rented a car last week. When I returned it I was told the car had front end damage that I repaired at home. The car was returned the same way it was giving I was told no need to stay and wait for a walk around as well. Now there are so called damage fees. I watched a video about your lawsuit last year where you charge people for damage that is not done just so the EMPLOYEES get a cash grab. You charge some people just so you can get something out of it and thata not right. I will be in touch with BBB and possibly legal representation. read more

Let me first say that I did not rent a car from this location but did have to deal with their customer service so this review is on their customer service. Summary: Rented a car around end of August. Returned car with passport still inside. Called multiple times asking them to send my passport. Waited more than a month and realized employees lied about sending passport until beginning of October. I rented a car in Detroit but left my passport in the rental which ended up in this location. Chasing the rental car over the weekend was tough enough already (for whatever reason, the two enterprise locations I dealt with had me on hold for more than half an hour at a time, and sometimes the call would just drop) but once I finally got the location that pulled my passport out, then started the second journey. I called at a minimum of four times to this location asking them to please send me my passport. I get it, my fault for leaving but when I rented a car, I paid for insurance and brought the car back undamaged. Whether or not I paid for extra insurance I just feel like good customer service is understanding that what one location does, can affect the organization as a whole. But here's the thing, I called, they got my address and said they would send it. Waited two weeks nothing so I called back to find out my passport was still sitting at the location. Gave my address again. Waited another week. Nothing so I called back and asked if it might be possible to overnight ship because I needed it for travel, also b/c its a passport so it is pretty important document. They said they would. Nothing. Called again to ask for the tracking number since they said they would fedex. Only some manager had the number so I had to wait for them to get back. I finally get my passport via regular postal mail dated October 8th. That's more than a month since my first call, not fed-exed and not even mailed until my last call. Also I always asked if they could call me back to just confirm that they sent it, I think rightfully so as anyone would be worried about a misplaced passport. They never called back and never left a voicemail like they said they would. Just say you can't do that. Literally everytime and every location but when I had my first rental transaction - no issue there with calling me back to rent me a car. That's not professional let alone honest. Needless to say, I will never patron Enterprise again. I only gave the two stars is because one is the lowest, and two because they did eventually send my passport after lying so many times. read more

First of all the I am a Enterprise Plus member and I have always used the Farmington hills Michigan location on Drake Road, Excellent customer service and the cars are always clean and sanitized well. Unfortunately my regular location in Farmington hills did not have a car available so I was forced to use the Eastpointe location ( no wonder they had cars available)? The customer service was very average , no smiles no energy, Because i am a Plus member I told the customer service lady at the Eastpointe branch that I was entitled to an upgrade per my email they sent me. She said the upgrade was only for the economy cars and NO OTHERS!! That was NOT true, as I have used the upgrade several times for a variety of cars, after telling her this she told me that was their policy so i asked her to get the manager. The same rep came out to the lot where i had been waiting to get an answer, I dont believe she asked the manager she told me that she was right and that i should pick the small compact cars she had on the lot as that was almost ALL they had, I did find a KIA Sol, and after telling her i needed the leg room for my handicapped mom she said she would charge me the additional cost to upgrade it although it was supposed to be FREE UPGRADE, per my email. Needless to say I had no choice and chose the small KIA, after getting in the car It smelled HORRIBLE!! CIGARETTE SMOKE x 100 !! So after i told her she gave me another choice, that one also reeked of CIGARETTE SMOKE, the 3rd car she gave me also REEKED OF CIGARETTE SMOKE,I was at this pointe so disgusted I told her just give me ANY car that DOES NOT have a cigarette smell to it, I was so frustrated and angry as i had been their for about 40 minutes, Whereas my other location in Farmington takes 15 min, at the latest. Needless to say I will NEVER go to this location again, I was extremely disappointed and upset throughout the whole experience, Very much NOT satisfied with this branch. read more

I'm giving three stars because the customer service was very good! Unfortunately the car wasn't! I rented a Toyota Camry to drive to Tennessee and from the very beginning the car was a let down. It had paint splatter along the sides and the front, the floor was worn down on the drivers side, a light thatread service charging system kept showing up and when I went to pop the trunk and put gas in the car the whole piece came off the floor! The workers were very nice which made the experience better but I was definitely in a vehicle that needed to be retired! read more

I was told to come here after I dropped off my Jeep at the dealership. They needed to order a part so they offered me a loaner. I walked in on a weekend and it was super busy. They tried telling me that they only had three small cars left. I told them that I drove a Jeep Cherokee so I would not be interested in driving a super small FIAT. The representative was very friendly and understood where I was coming from and accommodated me with a truck very quickly. I was expecting a fight, but instead I was surprised with this place; because all I got was friendly, smiling, and courteous customer service from everyone. Horrible Customer Service. Granted we were two days late but they were just rude. We went in to extend our rental 1 more day and they wanted to charge us $300+. My husband declined that offer and we got our things out of the car and our family. They said they would give us a ride but later changed. As it was 6 of them behind the counter one of them could've drove us home. My husband quickly became upset at their lack of empathy as they carried on like we were not standing there. Then demanding the keys like my husband was a child. As one guy approached my husband I warned him not to and to let me get the keys. Then out of nowhere a 2nd guy came from behind the counter very hostile and raising his voice like he was about to put his hands on him. Enterprise should be very thankful that my mother-in-law and I were there to keep the situation from further escalating. I understand that my husband was upset but there is a way to deal with a disgruntled customer. Matching his anger only exculates the situation. If they spoke with a bit more caring and respect in their voice maybe my husband wouldn't have been upset. They spoke with such disrespect and disreguard when all my husband wanted was to at least make sure his mother got back home. Then after calling customer service the one guy agreed to give everyone a ride but my husbanNo d. What kind of mess is that? If he felt so threatened someone else could've drove. Needless to say we will not be renting from this company ever again. We have been loyal customers for years and have never been treated so disrespectfuly. Also we made our reservation a month ago and when we got there we had to wait 4 hours to pick up the car in the 1st place. No apology and no discount for the long wait either. The customer service representative I was working with was Ms. Charell D. Mahone and she was excellent. I reserved a mini van and was going to be given a Journey. This did not meet my standards and Charell D. Mahone got on the phone immediately to track down a mini van for me. The minivan was perfect for my trip and it didn't take a long time to get the mini van as to I was on a time limit leaving for my Family Reunion in OH. Charell D. I didn't even want to give 1 star but they didn't allow me to put 0 I also never write reviews bc i never give a shit to but i was treated so badly that i think it's necessary to make others aware. Absolute worst service I've ever experienced, I called and made a reservation over the phone & they told me my total price & what car I would be getting. It super easy and seemed legit! So, I get there & first off they rented the car I was supposed to get off to someone else & tried to brush it off with some lame excuse when i confronted them. She then gives us a complete different car & tells me it will be a completely different price being WAY more than what i was told originally on the phone PLUS i needed to pay a $250 security deposit (which also wasn't said on the phone). As she swiped my card she told me this information NOT EVEN TELLING ME BEFORE SHE TOOK MY CARD! I didn't have this much to put on my card because I was completely not prepared for that price what's so ever. Then i asked if i could pay in cash. She said they don't take cash, when i was also never told this on the phone either! They also wouldn't take the payment from 2 different credit cards. So my last resort I had my mom send me a picture of her card so i could use that, but then again they wouldn't let me use it because it wasn't in their "hands". I was so pissed I asked to speak to the manager explaining my anger and they still wouldn't make any exceptions to help me get this car. I made them take my ass home because i was basically stranded there! A driver ends up taking me home and I told the driver I was going to grab my other credit card and come back with her so I could get this rental that i desperately needed. So we get to my house I run in to get my card and when i get back into the car the driver is on the phone with the manager, she says to me "the manager needs to talk to you." I take the phone from her and the manager straight up goes "Don't plan on coming back because we already rented out all the cars." LIKE WHAT THE ACTUAL FUCK DID I JUST GO THROUGH, these people are so unprofessional and wasted my time don't ever go to this rental car place ever! read more

I was referred here by my collision shop, Clovers Collision and Mechanical Repair. I needed a car while my car was being worked on. I rented a car for 8 days. Since I RARELY rents cars, my customer service representative, Robert Leroy, was professional, helpful and knowledgeable about the rental process. Most of the cost of the rental was covered by my insurance company, since my car was in a collision shop. My out of pocket was affordable. I would rent from this location again! read more

Called the phone number yesterday to make a reservation for pick up today. We needed a pickup from the office, not home and I told them the address we needed a pickup from. I scheduled it for 3 pm. I was told I needed to call the day of pickup 2 hours to confirm we still needed the pick up. Today, I called at 1 to confirm the pick up, after waiting on hold for 10 minutes, I was told I should have been told to call back 1/2 hour before pickup. So, I called back at 2:20, 40 minutes before pickup. Confirmed again, that we still needed a pickup. At 3:35, still no car. I called waited again on hold and was told the pick up was cancelled because that location didn't go to the home address. No one bothered to call or mention the address when I called to confirm. Even, still I gave the correct address to the operator yesterday and they had the address when I called about not showing up. So, now we will be late to our appointment. While they say they will pick up, it is quite a hassle. read more
