I specifically wanted to recognize the Enterprise team in El Centro because they were the people who ultimately got me safely home. The rental vehicle I picked up in Phoenix became inoperable in approximately 123° desert heat. This was an extremely frightening experience. I was alone, worried about my safety, my phone was overheating, and I had expensive work electronics with me. In that kind of heat, being stranded is not something to take lightly. What was most frustrating was the lack of communication while I was waiting. I spent several hours trying to figure out what I was supposed to do and did not feel like I had a clear plan. The El Centro team changed that. They told me to go to Pep Boys, coordinated a replacement vehicle, and kept working until I was back on the road. I truly appreciate the effort they made. They treated me with kindness during a very stressful situation, and I made it home safely because of their help. I hope Enterprise reviews its communication process for customers stranded in extreme desert conditions. A simple call or text with an update would have made a huge difference. I'm super thankful that State Farm provided me with a rental through Enterprise. The team at Enterprise was quick and efficient in getting me into a vehicle. I dropped off my car for repairs in the morning (something I hadn't even planned for that day), and by early afternoon, Enterprise had a rental ready for me, even though it was a last-minute situation. I had the rental for three weeks, and the entire process was smooth and stress-free. When it came time to return the rental, they even gave me a ride back to the repair shop to pick up my car. 9/2/25: This place will steal your $ for gas if you don't refill up. I left a $200 deposit & got $100 back. I asked about what happened to the other $100. I assumed they used part of the deposit for my gas, but not $100 of it. The gas prices they use are displayed next to the desk where you check in. It says $5+ per gallon for any gas to fill up. Which gas right now is easily under $5 per gallon (whatever tho). When I asked & called about how much $ they used to refill the car, the girl said, "$93". "I asked how much are you charging per gallon?" She said, "$7.00". I've had great service from this staff before and in the past, but once something like this happens I lose trust. Clearly this place is not only lying about how much per gallon they use but stole (literally) from my deposit w/o letting me know. Integrity was not there. After I called & inquired about this, i told them they are ripping me off. She said, I'll refund $37 back. I will not go back here or recommend this business. read more

As others have said, terrible customer service. My car broke down, and I was stranded 100+ miles from home and trying to pick up a rental. (I'm a 28 year old female with minimal desert survival skills). Despite the Enterprise website showing multiple available vehicles, The man at the front desk abruptly informed me there were no clean cars available. Clearly in a pretty desperate situation, I inquired if I could take a car that had not been cleaned. He condescendingly informed me that we are currently in a pandemic.. who knew? I asked to sit in the lobby so I could have a moment to figure out what to do next. I was then hastily informed that they would be closing in 10 minutes. After closing, I was sitting outside on my suitcase in the 102 degree weather. He drove away without so much as a glance. Not exactly a gentleman. Ill be renting from a business with a little more human decency next time. read more

I could choose to go to an airport rental car that has a lot of varieties of vehicles but THIS ENTERPRISE treat me like family!!!!! From the manager on down!!!! They're awesome!!! Johnny Escobar the branch manager, Mariena, Adrian and the rest of the crew are amazing!!! If you have any issue with your rental, they go above and beyond to make sure you are satisfied with your rental!!! Very helpful staff. I was in and out in less than 15 mins. The best thing I believe about Enterprise was my 200.00 hold was immediately returned to my credit card, as soon as the rental was dropped off. Stuck in El Centro. 9 AM Saturday morning I call the local Enterprise office on Main Street. The call is routed to the National office. The National rep quickly books my one-way rental to Sand Diego. Since Enterprise aggressively markets they will pick you up, I request the pickup. No problem and I am put on hold to speak to the pickup rep (I later realize they are trying to call the local office for the pickup). After 30 minutes on hold, I call back and am told: "I guess they are too busy". Irritated I grab a ride across town to pick up the car. When I arrive and walk in the office, I get a funny feeling something is not right. One rep is speaking loud on the phone to a frustrated customer who already rented a car. There are a collection of customers patiently standing in line. Another rep is also on the phone telling a customer they are not renting cars. He says this as if he is selling snow cones and announces there is no more ice. I wonder what all the customers are doing there if there are no cars. I feel like I am in a Saturday Night Live Skit. Unable to wait my turn I loudly announce I am here to pick up my rental car and wave my phone displaying the reservation. Now both reps look at me and just repeat "we don't have any cars". One rep patiently explains "Oh you must have spoken to the National office." His attitude is that it is absurd to think that the National Enterprise office can even make a reservation. The guy behind me then yells there are cars in the lot outside. I fear a riot is imminent with customers running to claim hidden cars in the lot. I decide it is time to escape the Twilight Zone. Pissed, I call Enterprise to rant at the injustice. I speak to Rep Tom who is aghast and promises me Corporate is going to pull out the stops and race to bring me a car to me to get me out of El Centro. I am not surprised when I don't hear back from Tom. Resigned I hail the pricey Uber ride to San Diego. read more

Avoid this place at all cost!!!! These guys are so greedy it's disgusting. My insurance company reserved my rental at this location and when i came in to the office, I specifically asked for a car that is within my insurance coverage so that I wouldn't have to pay anything out of pocket. That's reasonable right? Considering I pay my insurance premium to have that option. Well, these guys at this Enterprise location billed my insurance company $700 and charged me a little over $100 for a 20 day rental of a standard mid size vehicle. Total rip-off!! read more

The car itself that i rented was fine. The service however was atrocious. The business closes at 12pm on weekends which is abnormally early. I got there at 11:58am which was my fault, but i had no idea they would even be closing so early. They had their doors locked already but staff was very much still inside and all i needed was to return keys. Needless to say, they didn't want to service me which i was fine since it was my fault not knowing they closed so early. But when i got mad was when another customer came at them with a very upset attitude and HE got let in the business to fix whatever issue he had. Great rental car office. I was immediately greeted and assisted as soon as I came inside. I had an online reservation and they quickly verified everything and took me outside to do a walk around of the car. They even offered to spray off the car since it was dusty from recent rain. I was very excited when I came to this location for the first time. Coming from LA here to visit. LA have good costumer service. I came to pick up my car on a Saturday and it was a huge line and two people working. Today, I walked in to return my car and no customers but me and six employees working. While one of them was inspecting the car, I sat in the lobby and I could hear everyone talking trash about customers. I totally understand we all do it but not in front of customers. Everyone else didn't acknowledge I was there. I've seen better service at other enterprises in LA area and better service at Hertz in Imperial Airport. read more

Our insurance reserved a car for my husband after being in an accident and when my husband went to pick up the car the rude woman at the counter advised him he could not rent the vehicle because they had his license # listed as a non rental because someone in another state gave his license # and did not comply or something. My husband went on to explain he has rented cars here before and the other employee said definitely he could see it was enterprise error because nothing else matches from my husbands license. She interrupted him and told him here's a 1-800# call them and walked away from the counter and proceeded to help someone outside.. My husband works with transportation has a clean driving record and has never been to the state that his license was used in.. She didn't care to help him at all. He called the 1800# and they said they would get back to him soon" really?? We are out a car.. There is just no sense of urgency to something that is not our fault.. read more

I had a terrible car rental experience here. A lady helped me but she doesn't seem to know what's going on. She has to ask many questions to her coworkers. She made multiple mistakes in my rental (ex. Try to add a fee) and never apologized for it. She also give me the wrong types of car. During the process, she just doesn't seem to care. It took me 40 minutes to get my car, which is the longest it ever take to rent a car. To be fair, the other staffs helping other customer seem very friendly and efficient.
