BEDDD BUGGSSS !!! The one thing I will appreciate it. The front desk was accommodating. Despite the fact I could not get a refund on my room because I booked through a third-party.. he also claimed it was a desert beetle and while I have never seen a bedbug in real life or ever had an issue with them anywhere else, I looked up pictures and I'm like 99% sure, this was a bedbug. It was more reddish brown in real life than the picture shows and I only wish I got better photos. I was driving to Las Vegas from San Diego and wanted to stop in the Sand dunes and I was tired so figured I would book this hotel for the night. Literally within two hours of my stay I was in my bed and I noticed something crawling at the bottom and realized it was a bedbug. I had also noticed there were little black markings on the sheets, but I, never having known the red flags of bedbugs. I wrote it off as it just being a normal stain, which I found odd. Now looking back definitely a sign of bedbugs. There were also two spiders in the room. I immediately took out all of my stuff hoping there's no bedbugs being carried with me currently anyways after I return my key card, he offered to let me switch rooms, but I personally just not want to take the risk that the other rooms were infested as well. There were multiple cops arresting some people outside, which made me believe I made the right decision to leave ! read more

Rather than drive back to Palm Springs after the rosary and viewing for a family member, I decided to get a hotel for the night for my mom and I. I used a booking site to make the reservation. I had requested an early reservation and that was granted. We, however, arrived later than I had expected. The young man who was in the lobby wasn't the friendliest, but he was efficient. My mom asked if he had a bathroom she could use . He told her no. But, he was able to get us our room key quickly, so I was able to get her into the room soon thereafter. The room was fine. The temperature was cool, when we went in, which I didn't expect. I thought it might be a little higher, to save money. Two queen beds, immaculate white bed coverings. Two pillows each. Flat screen TV mounted to the wall. A desk like area with a coffee maker and some coffee fixings. Cups for hot beverages, cold beverages and an ice bucket were on the table. There was a dresser under the TV. In the corner was a tall dorm style refrigerator and a microwave on top of that. The bathroom had a separate toilet and shower. The sink was outside of the toilet. There was a long counter, but only one sink. A metal frame on the wall had a few blankets on top of it and hangers underneath. Attached to the wall next to the frame was an ironing board. The iron worked fine. Laminate floors (more on that later). The door had a chain lock inside, which I appreciated, especially since our door opened to the parking lot. (Each room has a name. We were in the "butterfly" room.) Mattresses were comfortable, but the frames are on wheels. Careful when you sit down on them, as they shifted due to being on the laminate floors. The pillows offered little in the way of support. In the morning, I took a shower. There were these little squeeze bottles of shampoo, conditioner, and body wash. These were enough for one shower, for one person. This was a 2-person room. Both of us brought our own supplies, so we didn't have to fight for the little bottles. The shower has had one of those laminate overlays so that they look nice. If you touch any of the walls, you'll hear the creaks. The long interior shower wall had all these shelves in it, which is kinda cool, but the center section sticks out, so if you stand in the center of the shower, there is a little less room. Water pressure was fine. I walked back to the bed to get dressed. I went to put on my socks and the bottom of my feet were black. The floor was filthy, apparently. I was grossed out. There was an ice machine just a few feet from our door. It was working and had plenty of ice. (Sadly, so many hotels don't have many ice machines that operate correctly these days.) This place was a step up from a Motel 6. But, the dirtiness of the floors totally turned me off. Everything else in the room was spotless, though. Check out the Burger and I next door! read more

I booked a room here for August 11th -August 14th for a work trip. About 20 min after I checked in my job got canceled so I went to cancel my reservation and was told I would receive a partial refund due to their cancellation fee. It has been almost one month and I've been intact with them I have multiple calls and multiple emails and they just blow me off. This place is a scam do not recommend they are liars and thieves . This hotel always impresses me. The staff is friendly. The rooms are clean. The hotel is centrally located so you are within a walking distance to restaurants, a grocery store and a other convenient businesses. Abraham, the General Manager, is always accommodating. I used to live in Brawley and I moved away but every time I go down to visit I prefer to stay at the Brawley Inn instead of with my relatives. I cannot recommend this hotel enough. read more

I came here with my family for the Thanksgiving holiday. I booked a suite and was looking forward to it. We arrived and checked in, then made our way to our room. Apparently they built a building behind the original hotel. We had trouble getting in and had to enter through the side door. When we entered our room, that was not a "suite" at all! It was called a suite, but it was the same size as a normal room and had two full sized beds. Are u f*cking kidding me?! The beds were cheap and I felt cheated. AC not working, Unable to find parking at the hotel, I had to park where the semi - trucks park. your unable to walk through the sidewalk, so many people hanging outside the rooms, talking on the phone, drinking, & smoking. ALWAYS th e best hotel experiences when I come to Glamis I swear...Idk what it is about the desert because you would think - out in the middle of nowhere, everyone is probably doing it big in an RV or camping in a tent...why put any effort into a hotel on the side of the road....but that is where you are wrong. For some reason, when I spend big money out here for a staycation or even when going to some where say LA or Palm Springs or anything for that matter, they charge an excessive amount and you're lucky if you get a decent fridge that does not have a bunch of drinks / snacks inside that wanna charge you 10-20$ if you take one, or let alone a place that has a MICROWAVE...that is unheard of omg...let alone a coffee maker or toaster or beauty mirror...just some things are hard to find I am telling you This place checked ALL of the boxes, boom boom boom. You want it? They got it. Not to mention, it felt like an apartment home. So much space. Thee biggest hotel room I have ever stayed in. We had our own private entrance area. They give you breakfast burritos complimentary in the a.m. - so freaking good and it comes in a brown paper bag with a muffin/baked good plus fruit. The parking lot was plenty and huge right in front of which ever room you are staying in. The front desk is ON IT - whatever was going wrong - they got you. The woman is so sweet, she called us back to make sure we got our TV working...I mean thats unheard of, the front desk call you back? psshhhh you're lucky if they even answer the damn phone. Point is - If I had to recommend a hotel, I would say HERE for sure. No its not LUXURY, 10,000 thread count sheets or stunning views from the window, hell the lighting is not the greatest but the point is they CATER to you, it gets the job done. I'm a medical professional and stayed at the Brawley Inn for a work assignment. I noticed bed bug bites on my leg a couple of days into my stay. I notified the staff but the manager seems to be avoiding my calls. As if bed bugs are not horrifying enough, the room was dirty, the walls extremely thin, and the maid service never came once even though I requested service daily and called the front desk. The Brawley inn has some hidden gems! I always stay here and there a few rooms that I love but will keep those secret so I make sure I get my room when booking. Lol. Anyway not all is perfect but again they have some hidden gems and I have just discovered their Presidential suite! Do not let the pics on their website fool you they need to update them. The suite is perfect! 2 true bedrooms full, kitchen, big screen TVs in both bedrooms including the living room dining area. They did nicely it looks like an apartment. I felt so t home for the weekend. Definitely recommend if you don't mind the ticket price. read more

I stayed here for one night 10/14-10/15 2021 for a work trip. I arrived late and they called to confirm I was coming. I got room 102 around the corner from the lobby on the first floor. The shower had a slight smell and the guests above were stomping around early in the morning so I didn't sleep too good. The water pressure from the shower also wasn't great, it was really low. Heads up to all my long haired people out there. All around wasn't bad, the reviews scared me at first but it honestly was decent for the price. read more

From the moment I stepped into room 136, the room was awful. First of all, going into the building it was full of dry mud and dirt. The room itself smelled of damped towel, the restroom had small gnats (flies) flying around. There was mold in the top of the shower. I had put a drink in the fridge and that blew up the next day because it froze. It was bareable the first night but not for 2 nights that I had reserved. I requested the first night to be moved but they said they were all sold out. I complained to the staff about the issues involved but their response was that they didnt have time to clean it up before selling out the room again. In your haste to make money you sacrifice quality and service. In the hospitality industry that should be wrong. read more

Visited 1/20/2020 My review rates this place 3 1/2 Stars overall. Stayed here as a short getaway and from what I could find for hotels in Brawley this is one of the better ones. The staff when checking in was a little invasive but loosened up as we chatted. They do serve a full breakfast in the front lobby with bacon sausage and eggs. That's so much nicer than just a continental breakfast. There is an Italian restaurant attached next-door with a full bar. I had appetizers and cocktails there and it was nice having that right next-door. This place seems to have been renovated recently as my room was clean and looks fairly freshly painted. There is a microwave and refrigerator and the room is nice sized. Bathroom was nice with all the amenities you should get in a room. Yes was a king size room on the floor level all the way in the back of the hotel building 4. The only real downfall was the bed was not very comfortable. Soft and saggy. Bummer. I have stayed at this hotel several times , and upon checkout I went to retrieve my cash deposit and was refused to be returned. One of the housekeepers claims it smells like smoke in the room , however I did not smoke in the room , I would never do that for once it's disgusting to smoke in a room and two I wouldn't be stupid enough to jeopardize my deposit. The front desk lady refused to go and check herself and just took one single ladies word for it that the room Was smoked in . I am floored at the front desk customer service the lady had a horrible attitude and seems extremely lazy she didn't make any effort to confirm that in-fact the room Did not smell like cigarettes. I have spent over 800$ at this hotel in the last week alone and I always clean my room before I leave and make sure that the least amount of cleanup is necessary when i leave , I highly advise to NOT stay at this hotel . Stayed there Xmas eve while visiting relatives near by whose place was way too small for the amount of guests. We just stayed over night. The room and bathroom were both clean. We had the two queen beds room, $97 and change, no complaints. The beds were very comfortable. Didn't really use the facilities since we just needed a place to sleep overnight. Shawn, the night manager was very nice and helpful. The only minor complaint is the walls seem very thin. The people next door sounded like they were in the room with us while just having normal conversation. But overall it was fine and next time we're visiting relatives, we'll stay there again. read more

I stayed at the Brawley Inn from February 2-4, 2018 for a Bird Photography Workshop at the Sonny Bono Salton Sea, as this hotel was recommended by my Photography School. When I arrived at the Brawley Inn on February 2, 2018, I was greeted by a friendly Receptionist, who checked me in, gave me my hotel key card, and a map with directions on how to find my room for the weekend. When I opened my room, I was pleased to see how clean and inviting it was everywhere! I could tell it was an older hotel, as it did not have an elevator to the second floor, and other more modern features such as more electrical outlets. But the bottom line is, it was definitely well-maintained. As for me, that is good enough. The pictures I shared here tell the story very well. I slept well for the two nights of my stay, and was very comfortable throughout. The bathroom and showers were in excellent condition. I definitely enjoyed my two breakfasts here with my Photography Workshop group. The staff were very friendly and helpful throughout my entire visit. According to my Photography School Director, this was the best hotel he could find for us in the area of our photo shoots. I also enjoyed the Conference Room, which my group had reserved for our indoor photography review and projects. If I ever visit the Salton Sea again with family and/or friends, I will definitely recommend this place and book it with my group. We booked 2 months ago (two rooms together) but when we checked in they "couldn't find the reservation" for the second room and tried to blame it on Expedia which wasn''t correct. They oversold the hotel and rather than telling us, hotel staff were not truthful so we had to book another room away from our group and at a much higher price due to it being an event weekend. For those of us who did stay here, we found the rooms not the cleanest with bugs (not bed bugs). Won't be staying here again, there are better accommodations around. read more

We stopped by here to book a room on our way to Arizona to rest for a day. This is the best place in Brawley. Compared to other motels and hotels ive stayed at. Place is clean nice, No bed bugs or roaches in the place. Hotel staff are wonderful here. Good room service options of food an breakfast in the mornings. Had a wonderful time here. We booked the room and as soon as entering we noticed how disgusting the room was. As we continued to inspect the room further the toilet seat had dried urine with hair all over it. We decided to leave within minutes of checking in and will NEVER be staying here or recommending this hotel ever again. Not so much the lazy black garbed girls who sit around the office whilst trash bins are overflowing 5' away and refused to empty them when politely notified they needed attention . 30 minutes later those two (3.12.18) were still busily gabbing away, trash spilling on the floor and Customers stepping in it . Absolutely horrible. New owner, price gouging! Prices are through the roof! $200 per night! No access to the pool? Had to put $100 cash deposit that requires a maid to check my room upon check out to get my deposit back? I've been coming here since the place opened and this will 100% be my last time ever! What a joke this place has become! Dove hunters beware of this place, they are using the Covid pandemic to price gouge you on everything! This can't be legal. Absolute joke! So sad. ANOTHER UPDATE: 3 hours, 30 minutes later and three calls. Chair is still here. Called the front desk and they said "they forgot." And the wait continues... Minus another star. UPDATE: I removed a star because after 90 minutes and two phone calls, the chair is still here. First off, I want to say based on what is available in Brawley, this is definitely one of the best two locations. If it was based on that alone, I would give it four stars. The girl at reception was so nice and helpful, which is so important to have a friendly face when you travel. (I travel a lot.) The location is also prime. There is a restaurant & lounge on grounds. Very convenient - I'll be headed there soon. It is also in walking distance to VONS and Rite Aid. I definitely appreciate location when I travel. The room is an OK size - big bed, fridge, microwave, TV and desk. Bathroom has nice marble. Seems to be recently upgraded. My only complaint so far is the chair that was in my room. It was gross. It was sooooo stained, (I posted a pic) I just don't even know what happened to it and why it would still be in the room. It just sends a bad message about the cleanliness of the place. I tried to ignore it, but I kept catching a glance. I called the front desk to ask if they knew about it, and the nice girl at the counter said they'd come get it. I'm appreciative that they're remedying the situation (hopefully very soon), but I'm shocked it would still be in the room. read more

This is about my 10th stay at the Brawley Inn because my company arranges our accommodations and this weeks stay was rated as the lowest. I have never had any issues with housekeeping. The housekeepers are friendly, professional and keep a tight ship. Now the maintenance, that's were the Brawley Inn needs to step it up...BIG TIME! The start with the bathroom: 1. exhaust fan did not turn on. 2. Zero pressure coming from the shower head when using the warm to hot water. Next the bedroom, which needed minor repairs: 1. Furniture was broken on various corners, 2. fire sprinkler missing housing 3. Dings and dents on wall. And the TELEVISION...50% of the channels had an error message and the television was maybe a 32 inch. Way to small for the room size. If they fixed the above issues I would give them a 4 out of 5. read more

Last night, (Monday), we stayed here, but had a terrible experience. At about 7:40pm, we were in the room, when we heard incredibly loud music outside. It was so loud, we had trouble hearing our TV. I think it was a band, with amplified speakers, but they were around the corner and out of view. We called down to the office. They said they would take care of it. No help, so we kept calling them over and over. There were promises of action, but it didn't happen. We asked them to call the police, and they said they couldn't do that. Finally at 10:30, the "music" and shouts stopped. Never staying again at a place the does not protect and serve their guests! read more

Occationally, in the course of my work, it is necessary to work away from home during the week. My employer has chosen The Brawley Inn as the go to place. I've stayed here several times in the last 3 years. The first few times there were issues of noise from the pool areas and drinking outside the rooms with a bit of yelling and running along the upper room walkways. I must compliment the staff for their effort in controlling and virtually eliminating that issue. I've found that the rooms, for the most part, are kept up, maintenance wise, although there is room for betterment in this aspect. A nice bonus is the free breakfast available in the somewhat small checkin/out lobby area. Breakfast is available from 5 to 10 am each morning. The menu varies from day to day. But, generally eggs, some form of breakfast meat(ham,bacon, or sausage) is served. A waffle maker is hot and ready to go( make sure you spray it with the available oil before adding the batter). There are two or three kinds of dry cereal to choose from, apple or orange juice, milk, coffee & hot water for tea. Pastries are ok. If you choose, a Von's grocery store is next door if your usual ones are not served or available. The pool is acceptable as well as the jacuzzi/hot tub. Parking is some what tight in the front 3 buildings, but fairly open in the back lot by building 4. There is also a well stocked library of books and cd's in building 4's lobby. Overall, it's not too bad of a place to stay if you choose to pay a little less and aren't choosy about a brand name hotel stay. Keep up the good work, Brawley Inn. read more

To sum up, when we were queuing in reception, for the 4th time, to try and get a room key everyone else in line was bitching abut something. Demanding a refund (reason not know, but they had already got their room key so suspect cleanliness), asking why TF the room wasn't available at 3:45PM (also why I was there). Rooms not cleaned, at 3:45!! Was the arrival of guests with reservations something not expected? Room, once accessed, was superficially clean but delving deeper, it was gross and run down. I take the dirt encrusted light switch on the bedside table as a benchmark- yuck. Outside the room there was trash everywhere, which also might explain the flies. Flies in our room, lots of them While we waited for our room, we tried the pool - run down. Hot tub broken. When I searched for a hotel in Brawley, this looked about the best I could find. I would hate to stay at the others if that's true. Breakfast was just about passable- a burrito with egg and sausage, an apple and a mini muffin. The staff that I dealt with were very pleasant and industrious. I guess they just need some more of them. read more

Clean rooms, nice staff with a gym and a pool. I'd definitely recommend this place; it's near the Vons so if you choose to I know up a pre-cooked meal, TV dinner or use their grills it convenient they also offer breakfast. If you need a quick bite they're also not too far from McDonald's, Taco Bell, Rally's, Jack in the Box, Subway and Pizza Hut. read more

We reserved a room as part of a large group outing with 25+ other people. We particularly asked for, and were promised a king bed and an upstairs room. When we got there at 5:30pm, we were told all they had was a two-queen room downstairs. Which turned out to be two double, not queen beds. And they pulled the exact same stunt with our other friends. When we called the desk to complain about the bed size, the clerk first tried to argue that they ~were~ queen beds. Then she gave up that line, and said she had a king upstairs after all. So we walked all the way back to the office. Whereupon the clerk said she meant for the next night! What else? Well, the "free" breakfast in the cramped lobby wasn't even worth that price. The water pressure in the shower was drippingly sad. And when we asked the last morning about arrangements that had been made for the group regarding late checkout, the desk clerk said she knew nothing about it -- so we had to race around getting our stuff together at 6:30am, rather than have to worry about getting nicked for another night. All in all, one of the objectively worst lodging experiences we've had anywhere in the U.S. What makes this especially sad to write is that we got the sense these folks may even be trying to do well. But they just aren't succeeding. And yes, it's Brawley. But if you're going to charge market rates for lodging, you're going to be judged against the market. Especially when there's a near-new BW at the other end of town that's doing just about everything right. On the upside, the poor overworked housekeeper in our building was very sweet and nice. But ain't that always the way it is? The jerks get to lounge in the air-conditioned office, and the nice people toil in quiet desperation. read more

OK, So I have stayed at the Brawley Inn every weekend for a little over a year. I love this place... but not the staff. The rooms are modern and clean (especially if you are in the suites, you have your own entrance away from the rest of the hotel). The Aspen (bar) is in the same lot, so you can grab a beer and hang out. The pool is small, but never over-crowded. There is a restaurant so if you dont want to eat microwave food, its convenient. Housekeeping is super cool and nice! The Front Desk Staff -- well these bit*hes could use a lesson in hospitality, They are extremely rude and never seem to know what is going on. I have a government rate and everytime I check in they act like they don't know anything and try to charge me the standard room rate. Uh, No heffer..check again! I asked for a late check out and they said OK. I went to run some errands came back and my belongings were outside my room. Someone nearly got their ass kicked for that one. The GM apologized profusely and comped my stay. I wouldve given 4 stars but these darn front desk broads are really something! read more

My BF friends and I stayed here for a wedding the weekend of April 21st. The beds were not amazing but I went home with little irritated spots on my SKIN! I was appalled I got some nasty something from the beds- WASH THE SHEETS! This town of Brawley seems like the things to do are drink heavily and make a ruckus which is what leads me to my next point- if you're a LIGHT SLEEPER: BRING ear plugs because the bar that's practically in the same lot has a VERY loud DJ and Very loud patrons. I gave them a 2nd star because they had someone staffed in the lobby at 01:45AM and I was locked out of my room (*Because the damn key card wouldnt work even after trying multiple new re-activated keys) *(206): with an extremely sick man on my hands, I got impatient when the lobby hostess couldn't open my door she had to call a man from off site to open our doors manually. I wish I brought my camera to show you how my suite looks. I arrived at the inn today and it exceeded my expectation! From the outside, I expected another comfort inn like motel, but once I stepped into my suite, I was definitely surprised. I booked a King Suite through the hotel's website. It has a large bathroom with a marble? countertop, a large and comfy king bed, a microwave, a mini frig, a large tv, large wardrobe, a art deco-ish couch, ...just adorable. I've stayed at many 3-4 star hotels for business and this place beats many of those hotels. The only con about my suite is that...the previous guest left a bottle of water in the frig. and a few pieces of clothing in the dresser. That's a little odd, but I'm happy. The hotel staff wasn't bad or spectacular...I mean this place is in the middle of nowhere so I'm not going to be that picky. read more

The checking in process was easy and quick. The staff was friendly, however the property was a complete NIGHTMARE including the room we stayed in which was room 110. We had reservations to stay for 3 nights but checked out a night earlier since there was way too much suspicious activity happening around us. First off, our room was dirty. There was blood stains on our bed, including hypodermic blood squirted on the walls and light area of the bathroom from someone probably previously doing heroin in our room. The room has a door for a conjoined room next door and you can see the hotel staff stuck the refrigerator and microwave shelf to block the door which didn't work anyways because the next morning someone opened the door up which was totally creepy! On top of that, all night there were men walking the parking lot on their phones seemed as though they were drug dealing. This place was definitely not a good spot to stay for vacation, and totally had me and my fiancé uneasy. Thank god we checked out a night earlier. Shit. One yelper mentioned something about a chair, and disgusting stains, and so on and so forth and then I looked to see what room she was in.... And it's the one I'm in now. Front desk workers can be a bit sassy... I'm trying to determine whether they're being 'professional, emotionless business ladies' or just total bitches. They're actually really helpful and can be friendly, there's just a touch of coldness. I looked at some of the other options in this town and lo, this is your best option. PS: they have bikes you can rent to ride around town on... Mind you its 115 degrees outside. read more

Big bonus. Very comfortable beds. And free breakfast. That was good! The jacuzzi got nasty and closed And there didn't seem to be any effort to fix it while we were there which was two nights and I would've like to go in the Jacuzzi during the day. Of course this is Brawley my hometown and they are definitely on a different schedule and a slower pace. They made a mistake and charged us immediately for the entire two nights and after I complained they corrected the mistake and gave me a $10 discount for each night so I'll give them four stars. There were some very loud drunk men fighting during the day but I didn't hear them at night. We came in so late from my class reunion I didn't notice. I've actually been staying here for years and I would stay here over any other hotel in Brawley . read more
