A solid option for Cape Cod area rentals, or in my case, taking a car off the Cape and then returning it a couple of days later. Their pick-up and drop-off service was efficient and well coordinated to accommodate island passengers such as myself. The ability for a weekend (Saturday) pick-up was key in my choosing to patronize their services for my needs on this trip. The rental car was spacious and fresh, though the satellite radio requiring an extra charge was a surprise (that I didn't participate in) - usually I go with another rental company that includes that option with the car. Though the location appears modest, it is an upgrade from their previous outlet closer to Falmouth Mall, and my return revealed several more cars waiting there than when I had departed, so they clearly maintain an active inventory and customer flow. read more

I called super last minute on Monday - two hours before closing - looking to rent a wrangler for one night the next day for my son's birthday surprise. Connor & Allison made it happen. Enterprise Rent-A-Car - My son in full ecstatic state in this birthday rental! - Car Rental Near Me - Falmouth, Massachusetts

I had rented a minivan from the Enterprise at Logan airport, long story short the van was recalled and nobody at Logan told me that my 6 week rental needed to be renewed after 4 weeks as that is he longest they can rent for. I ended up at the Falmouth Enterprise needing to A. Get a new vehicle (as the van had an active recall on it) B. "Renew" the rental for the remaining 2 weeks. The Falmouth location was controlled chaos with travelers coming and going to catch the next ferry and rent/return their vehicles. After waiting a few minutes and observing, I was worried that this was going to be a nightmare of an operation... I was gravely mistaken, Rebecca immediately jumped into action and started rectifying points A & B, all while answering the phone that was ringing off the hook, coordinating shuttle service for automata to/from the Island Queen & Woods Hole Ferry, taking car returns etc... she greeted every single person that walked through the door (a few even by first name!) As the owner of multiple business, I really hate the overuse of the "allstar/rockstar employee" moniker, but Rebecca truly exemplifies this title. It would take paragraphs to fully detail this experience.. so I'll leave it at this.. if you need a rental in Falmouth, go see Rebecca at Enterprise. Stay away from this place. Just like Wayne T. I also was stuck with a fraudulent claim that the manager Greg Crawford filed weeks *after* the fact. After denying me the ability to do the final check-in of a vehicle and telling me by phone that everything was fine except for some of the rental charges, Mr. Crawford madeno mention at all of alleged damage to the vehicle - and nearly two months later i get a letter from Enterprise Holdings of over $2,000!! in damages to the vehicle. So, Mr. Crawford, who insisted the car be returned after hours told me by telephone the very next morning when I called at opening of business "everything's fine Mr. D, just some rental charges." That was it. NEVER mentioned ANY damage to the vehicle. I said anyways that I'd to swing by to see the vehicle myself and do the proper sign out of the vehicle - I was only two miles away. Mr. Crawford then said I couldn't see it anyways because it was already "gone". Well that doesn't jive with a claim of damage responsibility when the customers is TWICE denied an inspection of the vehicle and the car is whisked away THAT fast ?? But I didn't really think anything else because I was assured everything was fine. Nearly two months later, I received a damage letter with "photos" of the alleged damage, I couldn't see any damages! Yet "they" swear "I" was responsible, even though Mr. Crawford and his office told me the exact opposite at the time of rental. Furthermore, the type of damage they claim to the vehicle, as I have been told by auto body shop supervisors, is impossible unless the vehicle was struck from behind by another vehicle going at least 5-10 mph. Since most of the alleged damage was to what they call "hidden" (out of view - not the body of the vehicle itself) parts, he said it could have happened with the previous driver(s) or during transit (since they whisked it away so fast) and I, and others, wouldn't have noticed it when I did the initial walk around at the time of rental because they were not "visible damages" most people would notice. Therefore, given *all* of these facts (and others that I edited out for length), and Mr. Crawford's outrageous behavior, a reasonable person would conclude that the alleged damage - which is impossible to make out - maybe because it never existed? - in the photos sent by Enterprise Holdings - did not occur during the time of my possession. Or does Enterprise rent out vehicles with hidden damages and routinely try to stick some sucker like me with a bogus bill? To put this in perspective, I have been a customer of Enterprise for 25 years and have never caused any damage to any of their cars, and I certainly have never been a victim of fraud, threatened, intimidated, and schemed by a manager of an Enterprise location - I'd remember that even if it was 25 years ago. After all of my research, I can only conclusion I can make is I must be swept up in some kind of a scam because there are literally thousands of other such stories as this one online from other customers with the same unusual activities, MO and who, much to their utter surprise, receive "pay up" notices TWO MONTHS after the rental and they get to RUIN your credit before you can do anything. This doesn't sound legal. I'm now in process of contacting a number of consumer rights' groups who said just the refusal to let me come over and review the car and the fact that Mr. Crawford did not indicate any damages when communicating with me ("everythings fine except some outstanding charges") is suspect enough, and also a breach of the rental contract. ENTERPRISE needs to be held accountable for it's suspicious dealings and for treating 25-year customers like this. The amount of hours spent on this (lost wages),possible insurance rate hikes, and damage to my credit - which has already cost me thousands of dollars and perhaps more - I'll be damned if I'm going to pay a *FRAUDULENT* claim. There are state and or federal investigations going into car rental companies, and after all of the other stories I've read, I can see why. I'm sharing my story out of pure frustration and to warn others. I want everyone that reads this to learn a lesson - don't ever trust a car rental company employee, esp. if they work for ENTERPRISE or ALAMO. When they say "everything's fine" - you say "that's nice, let's double check that." Perhaps car rental companies are scamming to raise profits now because they know they'll be nearly obsolete in a few years. Who's going to need to rent (esp. with that kind of "service" and risks and their rates) when Uber, Lyft and other ride share services that will be cheap or free are the wave of the immediate future? I'm sure it's going to get to a point soon that Uber, Lyft and others are going to wipe out car rental companies like they've done to taxi companies. read more

On a recent family vacation to Florida I rented two cars for ~ 1 week each at a total of $2,400. One car was returned at the same location as the pickup - no issues there. Car was clean and counter service was fine. The 2nd car was planned to be returned at an alternate airport. The day before the trip was to end, issues with the airline necessitated changing return flights to an alternate airport 90 miles away. I called Enterprise to request a change in the return location. They informed the cost to change the location was a bit over $1,000. I asked if the fee could be waived and was told the regional manager needed to approve. The agent emailed the manager and I was told to expect a call back within 1 hour. Two hours later I called back as the manager did not call. Another email was sent. I was given a number to call the regional office directly but the number was for a fax machine - not helpful. Towards the end of the day, I called a third time. Another email was sent and this time I asked if any additional persons could be included - the assistant manager was copied on the email. As my flight was early the next morning and the manager(s) never responded, I was forced to make an early trip to return the vehicle as per the original contract, then rent a new car (this one was with Hertz - great service there) to be returned at the new airport for a grand total of $60.00. I've used Enterprise almost exclusively for many years without issue - but after this experience, I doubt I will return. If they will not respond when assistance is needed they are going to get my future business. read more

The whole staff at Enterprise Rent-A-Car was fantastic and helpful when I needed to rent a car through my insurance company, while my car was in the body shop. When I dropped off my car to be repaired, an Enterprise staff member picked me up and took me back to the rental car office location. I was quickly put into a car and paperwork was signed electronically, and I was good to go. The whole thing took about 5 minutes - just awesome. They billed my insurance company directly, and I didn't have to worry about a thing. When my own car was ready to be picked up, I dropped off the rental car and was on my way in 2 minutes, thanks to Jessica (who checked me out that day). She was professional and efficient. The manager Ryan, and associates Kelly and Ryan were superb in their customer service and professionalism. I rented a vehicle from them, had for almost 2 months due to extensive repairs to my personal vehicle and they all made the process seamless by transitioning rental agreement from car insurance to warranty to dealer without me having to come back in to resign an agreement. I was most impressed by the over the top effort made when there were issues upon returning the vehicle to another location. Manager Ryan went above and beyond to find resolution on my behalf. Under no circumstances should you rent a car from this agency or location. I won't belabor the point too much, but I was stuck with an utterly fraudulent claim of damage on a car I rented (claimed to be "underneath" the body). I've never heard of needing to climb underneath a car to assess preexisting damage. Even if I had, when I rented the car, I was told I had only a minute to mark off damage, since if I took longer, they would pass the last car in the lot along to the next person in line. (the "if you don't like it, talk to my manager when he's in next week, sir, I have other customers" line seems to be part of the standard indoctrination..it was used constantly). Furthermore, the sheer "it happens all the time" familiarity with which then claimed some phantom damage underneath to rocker makes it clear to me that this kind of fraud is a part of the business model for this location at least. I've passed along the details and all documentation to the Massachusetts Attorney General's office, and have made it my personal mission to let all of my community on Martha's Vineyard know how criminally sleazy this agency location is. Now that there is an alternative in town with another agency franchise, at the Palmer Ave. steamship parking lot, there is no reason whatsoever to risk doing business with Enterprise in Falmouth. I'd prefer accepting a ride hitchhiking with Jeffery Dahmer than renting a car here ever ever again. I optimistically hope that they, and perhaps Enterprise overall if this is how they do business, are not operating for much longer. read more

I always get a nice car that works well so that's a positive. However, for a company that has as their subtitle "the company that picks you up", they sure don't make that a very reliable service. I've several times been waiting over half an hour for my pick up, not been accurately told where I'd be picked up, etc. When I call to ask what's going on, where is my pick up, and I then get the real information, and tell them that I should have been given the correct info, as I'm on a travel schedule with two children, and time is important, I've been told that they are not a taxi service, that this is a free service, as if they are doing me a favor! This is your business model, people! Not a favor! And I would gladly pay for a service that could be accurate and reliable. Next time I'll call a taxi. I wish I could do business elsewhere but this is the only option in the area. Blergh read more

Called a week or two in advance and made reservation for a compact car rental from May 31 to June 3. The on line rate was $17+ per day. My wife called to make the reservation because she wanted to arrange for a pickup from the ferry boat. We then were told that we would be charged from the time she was picked up at the boat in Woods Hole, instead of when we actually got the car in Falmouth. This was also a new wrinkle. The last time they forgot to pick her up. In the meantime I received an e-mail from their headquarters offering a free upgrade on a rental made before June 26th. I was told by the Falmouth rep that the upgrade couldn't be used because I was already getting a special rate. When my wife arrived back home I saw that she was charged $24.99 per day, which was a special rate for the normal $42.99 per day. I called the office spoke to the girl who handled the rental. Got absolutely nowhere so asked to speak to her supervisor. He returned the call and said the their rate was $42.99 and I received a special deal of $24.99. I asked how that was a special when the rate on line is $17.90. He just keep insisting that they charged the correct rate. I sent an e-mail complaint to the corporate office. Next time I plan on using Hertz. The one star is more than they deserve, because they made no attempt to figure why the rates were so different. read more

The branch manager james may be one of the most unpleasant people I have ever had to deal with. When renting a car, you want to feel safe and assured that you made the right choice. When I arrived, no smile, no welcome and a slew of one word answers. He was patronizing and down right condescending. If I didn't have to be in Boston so quickly I would have brought my business elsewhere in a flash. On the other hand, the young man Charlie who picked us up was excellent. I rent from this location three to four times a year. The older heavy set manager is not too pleasant or chatty. Maybe he's just miserable or a keep to himself guy but in that business customer service is everything. Most of the other minions there are pleasant. Business wise I've never ever had an issue with a car not being available as long as I've had a reservation. The vehicles are clean and new great shape. Occasionally twice actually I've been stuffed and given a car on empty and had to make my first stop the local gas station which is not something I want to do once getting in the car. There hours are on and do run a courtesy driver to the ferry in woods hole too. I've returned cars after hours used the drop off box and never had any billing issues after. There the only rental place in the area so there's kind of a no choice. The other issue is on arrival I've had to wait up to 20 minutes to get my turn at the counter which is tough too. read more

HORRIBLE PLACE! 1) They do not disclose that they will withhold your deposit forever! 2) The car we rented had a mechanical issue. I called roadside assistance who couldn't care less. Upon return, I reported it to the agent, but the next thing I saw, the car is already rented out to someone else!!! Safety? Anyone ? Use any other rental car in town instead. AVIS and BUDGET are right on the Martha's Vineyard's shuttle parking lot, and HERTZ has an amazing customer service. BUT STAY AWAY from Enterprise! You will regret it. read more

If you are looking for Customer Service, stay away. To them Customer service is a foreign word. We were late due to break down of public transportation. We asked them to stay 15 minutes after scheduled closing. Jasmin very clearly told us, The Owner has a policy "Everyone" must leave when the office is scheduled to close. We had to take a taxi 30 miles away to Hyanis to rent a car. We had no other option. Their answer to our need to pick up a car on Saturday, come back on Monday Morning.
