The car was not ready for pick up. However, the real concerns were... 1) The gas tank was not full. It was 3/4, but I had to pay for a full tank. 2) Car was vacuumed, but inside windshield and driver window was dirty. The driver window had terrible smears up and down at least 5 inches wide. 3) First day driving I had a tire go low to 21lbs. I had to make arrangements to get the tire fixed. Belle Tire said all 4 tires needed replaced. Enterprise agreed to replacing 2 tires. I had to drop off vehicle and make arrangements to pick up. 4) The preset features I found to be unsafe. Car unlocking before getting to vehicle door. Couldn't set up to warm up car. Temperature would not stay set to last setting. Had to unlock car to open gas door. read more

Here's the deal. I rented a truck from enterprise for 3 days. Used points for 1 day. About 1800 points. Total was about 231$ after fees and insurance with the day reduced from points. They owed me a tank of gas from a prior issue as well. I took the vehicle. Drove it for about 400 miles. Was in Toronto on Saturday 100 miles away from my hotel and I had no service on my phone from being out of the country. That being said I get a warning light on the truck saying to fill the def fluid within 200 miles or be reduced to 5 mph. I drove 100 miles back to my room to get service to call corporate for approval to fill the fluid. Wasted about 4 hours out of my Saturday night on a weekend vacation (my first in two years) with my wife. Got the approval was offered 1000 points and reimbursement for the fluid. I said 1000 points wasn't enough so he said I need to take it up with the branch if I wanted further credits. Upon returning the vehicle they said "well we gave you 130$ tank of gas that was very generous of us" which was from a prior issue. I was frustrated to say the least and she offered to remove one day from the rental. I said I'm still not satisfied but go ahead. I get home. They charged me full price and didn't reimburse me for the fluid. The fluid was roughly 20$ but that's not the point. At that time I wanted 3000 points to make it right but after them charging me full price and the way I was treated now I definitely deserve more so I called corporate immediately Monday the 22nd. They couldn't give me what I was asking for so they forwarded to regional manager. Hasn't heard from them so I called Wednesday the 24th. They said they resubmitted. Still hadn't heard from them on Friday the 26th so I called again. They resubmitted to another regional manager and now it's Monday the 29th and I called again and I've been forwarded to another corporate manager and still have to wait even longer for a call back. Meanwhile they're telling me the charges are pending and not submitted fully for my rental but it's clear as day that I was charged 231$ on my Apple Card so that's not true either. I have already contacted the BBB and made a formal complaint and disputed the transaction on my credit card due to the lack of willingness to make any attempt at settling this professionally. I have reserved a vehicle several times, only to get a phone call informing me the vehicle was not available - one time the call came 30 minutes prior to my slated pick-up time. I tried to reserve a vehicle for a third time and when I called to confirm that it would be available, I was told I am on the "do not rent" list. I was gobsmacked, as I have never rented at this location - I have had an Enterprise Plus membership for over 20 years and never a problem. I contacted corporate office and was told I am not on the "do not rent" list and to take my driver's license to the location so they can run it. I did, and they told me I am on the list and to email their supervisor Smyra Mack, and they would have her call me - she has yet to respond. This car rental company committed fraud. I rented a car for four days the agreed upon cost was 300 for a mid size car. When I got there I received a micro mini car, called a Spark. I rented the car at 5:00 PM just before closing. I returned at 4:00 PM four days later. They charged me $144.56 more because I did not return it prior to their closing. I was never told I had to return it prior to their closing. I received a text asking will I be returning it prior to noon the next day. I was not able to due to traffic closures. I was never told I had to return it prior to closing or incur two additional days of charges. I returned the micro car and the keys on Saturday four days after I rented it. I spoke to the owners and managers about charging my credit card $444.56. They called me back but would not issue a credit. This is a probable last update on my review with some parting shots which probably should be repeated since Enterprise customer service make robotic repeated requests for the same information over and over like they don't pay attention to the first or second time. A customer service rep named Aaron e-mailed me and twice asked me for a reservation # and the details of my complaint. I had already said there was NO reservation made at all. I had also told the rep who replied to my original complaint on YELP. In addition to my complaint being posted on YELP. I sent 'hard copy' to Customer Service and also Enterprise's CEO in St. Louis, MO. No mention of this info (maybe it went to the shredder?) I decided not to answer this third request because it was lazy. Anyway, Aaron started out all sympathetic but then told me 'if you can't fulfill our payment requirements, you won't be able to rent a car from us'. (oh, I feel so inadequate now!) This was pretty condescending in my view. So I'll repeat if AGAIN since they don't seem to address it or notice things unless they're repeated over and over - The credit card I have used for almost 4 years fulfills the 'payment requirements' of dozens of merchants, including 5 days of truck and van rentals spread over 3 occasions in February from Penske. NO comment on this from snobby and picky Enterprise. I saw an ad on You Tube for Enterprise and the tagline was 'We're Ready to Go When You Are!'. I needed to rent a car for a few days to travel across the state. I didn't feel that Adam (?-on the phone) nor Alysia (in person) were especially helpful, kind, or caring of my predicament. The rate was changed when I got there, extra charges were added, and I was told I needed to come in two hours later to get the car than I was originally told. I've had much more help from other Enterprise locations. In fact, when I turned in the car, the rate was adjusted and extra charges removed without my even mentioning the problems. Used a few months ago, showed up today to get my car I reserved and they refused my card since it wasn't attached to a physical bank; the same card they took last time. Now I've been rushing around on a Saturday to find a different place to make it to a wedding, and most rental places close at noon on Saturdays. Also had to get a cab to take me back home costing me more money. Unprofessional, I'll be deleting my Enterprise Plus accounts and make sure that my company never uses these clowns. read more
