Im really impressed with this new Enterprise location! The previous location was in a shopping center, and it was a bit of a cluster. And since I needed a rental car due to fender bender and my insurance was covering the expenses, I believe it made my experience here more streamlined and efficient. The new location was clean and divided into rental car services (on the left) and rental truck services (on the right. There's also a spacious private parking lot for their cars and trucks. And there's also an indoor lot for them to wash and detail the rental cars. Both picking up and dropping off my car rental was seamless, and my rental was a relatively new car. Usually I would come to them because my car is being serviced. Service can be hit or miss. Employees can be moody especially the younger males. Avoid coming in the mornings! Youll deal with Oscar the Grouch. Sometimes you will have a reservation and your set up for one car and when you go in, they come up with another story. Usually Im flexible with cars, however I do have a problem if your putting me in a smaller car then what I normally drive. I have a mid size sedan, and there is no why Ill ever drive a Focus or a Dart. I dont know who they trying to fool, but Shelly was not having it that day, So they made calls and a runner was able to bring me a Charger. That was more like it. Before you sign away anything, Take pictures, This will CYA! Sometimes they will give you a dirty car, take pics. The car sometimes smell like cigarettes or some other substance, dont settle for that. They have no problem in charging you for every little thing, make sure you inspect your rental, I opted for their additional insurance since I was going out of town and with my luck, anything can happen. Pay attention to the gas, they will charge you if you dont return it to the same amount that they will charge you. TBH, I wont recommend this place. I didnt have issues but these young e employees really try run games if they can. I think the entire Enterprise organization need to be revamp. I experienced similar at other locations, and the negative reviews are legit. I would much go to Nextcar, besides their rates are a lot lower, and no one tries to run games. read more

I have rented from this enterprise numerous times and for the first time I had the worst customer service experience. I had booked a same day reservation online around 10:30am for an economy vehicle with pick up time 3pm but I modified my pick- up time to 5pm around 2:30pm. When I arrived at the enterprise, I'm under the impression that the car I reserved is the car I would be getting but apparently not at this branch. He proceeded to tell me that they did not have the car I booked and that the only other car they had was a minivan but I declined then they said well we have a Mercedes but that is under premium, and I would have to pay the difference between the economy to the premium or the minivan. I proceeded to ask the rep why the system would allow me to reserve an economy when they did not have any and should I have to pay the additional amount if it's not what I reserved. His excuse was b/c I did a same day online reservation. At that point I had no choice but to reserve the Mercedes and pay the additional cost. While I waited for him to help everyone and get the car, I called customer service to see what they could do since the rep made it seem that there was absolutely nothing they could do. I explained to the rep over the phone what my issue was and she was very understanding and said that b/c they only do reservation over the phone that she could not do anything but if the system would have allowed her to she would have adjusted my rental amount to what I would have pd for the economy, she advised me to talk to the branch and see if they could help me with my issue but I told her that they said there was nothing they could do. I hung up with the rep and went back inside and I told the rep that I wanted to speak with a manager and asked him to give me their information so that I could call or speak to them the following day. With a stupid smirk he said he was the manager (Jacob Sonsini). I explained to him what my frustration was, and reiterated that surly there was something they could do and he said yeah either not get a car or get what he had and pay the extra amount. After going back and forth with him expressing my frustration he had the audacity to say well now I'm not giving you the Mercedes and proceeded to canceling my reservation/pmnt. Until that point, I was not disrespectful in anyway but when he cancelled my reservation and in a condescending way told the other rep that there was now a Mercedes available, I called him an asshole, and this is all b/c I did not think that I should have had to pay extra. Jacob Sonsini has absolutely no customer service and should not hold the title of being a branch manager especially when he said he did not care if I wrote or called to put a complaint. This branch is a rip off and I will no longer be giving them my business. I called another branch to reserve a car and asked them to confirm if they had the car and he said yes and that if they didn't, they would provide me with another vehicle at no cost to me. I rent here twice a year as my mechanic is nearby. Every time I come in the staff is completely different. This store must be a stepping stone to other positions since they rotate through so many people. The employees are always friendly, but the service is unpredictable. Case in point, last time I used them I made an appointment for a 4:00 SUV pickup. I called at 3:00 to let them know I was on schedule and to confirm my reservation. When I showed up at 4:00, they told me the SUV was getting an oil change. I waited 30 minutes for the car. Many times when I call to make a reservation, when I call back there is no record of it. I don't understand but it's possible this gets confused with another Gaithersburg location. In any case, from my name/number they should be able to find my reservation. The employees usually seem overworked as they are busy with customer pickups, car pickups, and car checkouts. Usually running around quite a bit. Car are pretty clean (not the cleanest I've rented, but not awful). The prices are all over the map. I've been sitting there waiting for a minivan I paid a premium for, only to have someone else walk up, ask for a standard car and be given a van for the same price (because they didn't have any small cars). I get that, but, it's still annoying when you realize you obviously could have just asked for the smaller car and gotten the same deal. They do not seem to have many cars at this site. There appears to be a skeleton fleet of cars as most are brought over from another office. It's not bad. And it may not be different from any other Enterprise rental car. The agents are friendly. The lowdown: slightly pricier than some of its local competition (Avis, Budget) this branch has offered me good to great customer service on multiple occasions, and the branch is quiet on weekdays. Saturdays are to be avoided, when possible. If you can't/won't rent from an airport, then this is a good suburban alternative. I've had better experiences at this location than at other suburban locations in and out of state. More details below. I first visited this Enterprise location roughly a decade ago. My cousin used it regularly, and I often tagged along with him. The place seemed okay and he kept returning, so I figured they were a decent rental company. It led me to my first Enterprise rental in Massachusetts. The rental car that I got then was a tiny Kia Rio that was dirt cheap, but some of that dirt came in the form of...well, dirt. The interior looked like a carefree teenager's hand-me-down car, with the backseat stains now handed down to me for a weekend. While I was otherwise happy with my ride and the deal, it gave me the impression that Enterprise, as a company, had fallen down a few pegs. Fast forward to 2019, and I come back to this location twice. The first time, I end up cancelling my trip at the last minute due to injury, but was dealt with professionally by Kevin. I felt that Enterprise either improved as a company since my Massachusetts experience, or that this location was simply good. I came back again recently, and for a weekend rental and had a great experience. We happened to drop in on a Saturday morning toward the end of business hours. Panic. There was a long line, and we were worried that they'd run out of cars. The two men working, Kevin and Tyler, were in perpetual motion, running around. Honestly, it felt like they were scrambling, but they didn't look frustrated or overwhelmed. At other places, this usually means they're apathetic, but here, they are just better at working under stress. We were assured by Kevin that they'd do their best to help us, and they kept their word. Because they didn't have the car we reserved, they gave us another one that ended up working out just as well, if not better for us. Tyler was the guy who arranged all this, and he diffused what could've been a bad experience and made it a positive one. He did it so naturally that I feel he's good at what he does, and that the people in charge of this place know who to hire and how to train them. Customer service and proper employee training are my pet peeves, fyi, so just know that they left a good impression on me. The experience didn't end there, as my return was even smoother, and an even better experience. Tyler (the employee mentioned earlier) gave me a lift home, which I didn't expect, since I told him that I planned on calling an Uber/Lyft. Bottom line: The 3 employees that I've seen working at this location all looked young, but don't let that fool you, because they seem to know what they're doing. AN UNBEIEVABLY UNETHICAL ORGANIZATION. A enterprise driver almost killed my wife turning into her lane and hitting her on 495. She called the police to report a hit and run, and they said the driver called and reported it too and that she should get in contact with the driver, and gave her his info. So she gets in contact with Mitch Dattis from enterprise, who admits that he's the one who hit her. At first Mitch says he reported it with his company, and that they will take care of the repairs. Well after months of getting connected to 10+ people in different parts of the company and having to tell the story to each of them, Mitch suddenly changed his story and says he doesn't remember hitting her. It's absolutely ridiculous. He was obviously counseled on by his company to deny any fault. There was a witness so my only course of action is to take them to court. But common enterprise, If your employee hit someone, which is obvious because he returned to work with a big dent in sprinter van, then do the right thing! And fix the car your employee hit without making people take you to court. I'd rather walk 15 miles to my destination than help this company make money. read more

The assistant manager, Jack, went out of his way to make sure I was happy. They did not have the original car I reserved. He did not stop until he found a car I was pleased with. He made sure I had a ride to the bodyshop to drop off my car and pick it up. He is so pleasant and helpful. He is that shining ray of light in a difficult situation. They followed up to make sure that I was happy with my rental. I was not charged an unreasonable rate. It was just a wonderful experience. Employee who was driving offered no apologies and was blasting rap music on the way over. Got to the other location and after a wait I was given a very small Fiat. I have rented from this place more than 20 times in the past few years. I rent mostly for business purposes, but also for personal needs. On a whole, the experience at this location has been extremely positive. I have always gotten the type of car I reserved and the bill has always been accurate. I recently did have an issue with a rental car (the first significant issue I have ever encountered renting from this location), and the staff member fairly compensated us for our trouble, which we really appreciated it. My ONLY complaint about this location is that they seem to desperately need more staff. It's a VERY busy location and the poor staff always seem to be slightly overwhelmed (I've been there multiple times when the line of people waiting is out the door). The staff who are regularly there do an excellent job of moving people out quickly, but there is only so much that is humanly possible. Enterprise should really give them one additional staff member to help out. read more

No problems anywhere! Sincerely, this was the easiest car rental I have ever had. As I was reserving online, my hubby called and requested a pick up. 15 minutes later I was on the way to pick up a brand new Nissan for an insanely cheap price for a week. When the week was almost up, we called and extended the reservation for another week at the same price. Not sure why there are not more 5's -- everyone was extremely nice & I really appreciated how I could get help from any one who was there instead of having to talk to a particular person. Enough information was given -- I was shown where different features were in the car (cruise control, etc.) and every one was quite articulate. Just enough talking to be pleasant, not intrusive. I picked up on a Wednesday around 5 and dropped off same day & time 14 days later, not busy either time. Check out super simple, took a matter of minutes. Took 45 minutes for them to pick me up from half a mile away at the body shop. Driver had a terrible attitude. Got to shop to find a huge line. Understaffed. Process that should have taken 15 minutes has taken over an hour and I am still in line and not close. One line open and 8-10 people in it. This is on a Monday morning, not a weekend. Edit to add...my insurance company specified a luxury vehicle. Enterprise massacred it and put me in a standard vehicle, refusing to accommodate the request despite my providing email from the insurance company to support it. Claimed I had no reservation, but I personally made one. They simply screwed it up. They made no effort to help. I wish I could give 0 stars. I was having my car repaired down the road at True2Form, and they set me up with a rental from this Enterprise location. Having never used Enterprise before, I was surprised that they quite literally pick you up. I showed up at the body shop. They called Enterprise, who was at the repair shop maybe 5 minutes later. The nice girl who picked me up drove me back to their office, where we went through all the details. The other persons insurance company had not approved the rental yet, so they explained a temporary hold would be put on my card while things got worked out. The same girl did the inspection of the card, where she actually pointed out damage that I would have missed. Truly impressed on that one. A couple days passed and my car was not fixed yet; Enterprise had no problem extending my rental. When my car was fixed, I left it at the repair shop and Enterprise came and picked it up. I got a call saying that the gas left in the tank was good and there was no damage. So, no surprise fees at all. After all this, the other person's insurance company just couldn't get things straight (she approved of me getting a rental car, just didn't handle it correctly with Enterprise). A few calls back and forth between me and enterprise and me and the insurance company eventually led to me having the insurance agent call Enterprise directly. Never heard back from her after that, so I guess they set her straight! Two weeks later Enterprise called me and said everything was all set. the insurance agent managed to screw up yet again, but they figured it out. After all that time, nothing more than a hold was ever put on my credit card. I really would have expected them to charge me as opposed to dealing with the insurance agent. DO NOT BELIEVE WHAT YOU ARE TOLD! Make sure to read everything and don't sign if you don't understand! I had to rent a car after mine was rear ended so I left mine at the shop and was told because I have full coverage a rental would be paid for by my insurance, however when I went to pick up the car the sales person assured me the insurance would be billed for any charges but I need to put a 100$ deposit, I should have said no as soon as I heard that but I had already left my car at the shop, I was once again reassured the deposit would be returned after i give the car back. Surprise surprise I get charged $97.59 after the fact! Turns out the sales person ensured I agreed to buying every possible extra insurance they offer! What a crook! I will not use enterprise NEVER EVER AGAIN. The slogan we treat you like family is a lie. We returned a rental car at 6 pm. Later we realized we left some paperwork in the car. I attempted to call them back around 7pm but no one answered so I left a message. I called them the next day according to the store clerk the paper was thrown out in the trash and its not his problem anymore. I really don't like renting cars in general. So for me to have a good car rental experience would in general be a hard sell. Well I admit that my last rental here was very nice. The assistant manager here assured that I was happy with everything during the entire process. He had a great overall attitude and he made everything go smoothly and quickly. They picked me up and dropped me back off to my location (car shop). There were no hidden charges and they didn't make it sound like I was driving an uninsured car without their own rental insurance coverage like other places. The Hyundai that they rented me was an overall nice car. I'd probably give 5 stars if the price was cheaper, but overall I feel like I got fair market value for a day rental and I would definitely use this place again if needed. read more

I have rented from this location on several occasions and have had problems each time. One of the problems is the constant staff turnover. They like to get you in and out while trying to up sell added features without completely explaining expectations. Hyper-concerned about getting approval for great customer care regardless of whether or not they provide it. We have been given cars with dirty interiors (including food spills and other people's belongings still inside) and malfunctioning equipment. They don't like to be questioned on issues and Jack - a current an assistant manager has demonstrated less than acceptable customer service skills. Had a reservation for a Tuesday morning. Walked in and the place was extremely busy, and understaffed. Poor guy at the counter was running around like crazy, didn't give me any info. A dozen people were sitting around waiting so I walked up to the empty counter. I give them a big zero. Thomas Williams was rude and sarcastic about dinging me $500 for a small crack in a reflector that he claims was not there when I rented the car and we jointly inspected it. The crack was not bigger than a golf ball and he had instructed me to look for damage of that type. They charged my credit card the full deductible and have not explained how much the cost would be to replace the reflector. The service is lousy, and I cannot believe this person is a manger of anything. I am not sure about all the negative reviews from this Enterprise location but I have had nothing but a good experience every time I have rented from this location. I have been renting from Woodfield Road for a little bit more than a year. I have rented a car several times in 2014 and twice so far this year. Enterprise always picks me up and the staff has never been negative in any way. As a matter of fact, everyone I have dealt with has been very pleasant. I do agree with one reviewer that they seem to turn over staff at that location, but that might be an Enterprise corporate internal issue ... maybe they use that location as a training ground. I have never had a problem with any of the cars I rent ... they have always been clean and never had a mechanical problem. I have also never had a problem with any of the billing. They charge a $ 100.00 deposit in addition to the total anticipated charge of the rental when you rent the car, but as soon as I turn the car back in, I get an email from my credit card stating that I have received a $ 100.00 credit for my deposit. So unlike most companies, Enterprise does not keep the deposit for a couple extra days to earn interest on my money. I did have one very minor problem where they were late in picking me up (this happened just once) but Kevin, the manager at that location, was very apologetic and upgraded me from a compact car to an intermediate car for the weekend, which was very much appreciated. Also when I visit this location, for the most part, I never have to wait for someone to help me ... maybe I am lucky in my timing as I see some reviews complaining about the wait ... but I have not seen that. I would give this place -4 if I could. Why didn't I give it a -5? Because at least it exists. Rented a car here because the wife's car was hit due to the negligence of another driver. Her vehicle was in the shop for nearly a month. I put down a $100 deposit and said I would receive it when we return the vehicle. After returning the vehicle, I noticed I only received $72. I asked enterprise, and they said we kept the vehicle a day longer than we were supposed to. I told them that the shop was waiting on paperwork from the other driver's insurance, so the person I talked to said he would talk to his manager and I would be refunded the remainder of $28 within 3 days. One week later, still no refund. This time the person I talked to aid the process takes about 17 days. Where did he get this number? No idea. I call back in the beginning of june because I still haven't gotten my refund. I asked to speak with a manager, and Kevin answers the phone. While I was explaining the situation, Kevin cuts me if and tells me to hold. 10 minutes have past, and I'm still on hold. I hang up and call again, Kevin answers the phone, and I tell him that I was on hold for 10 minutes, he places me on hold again. 12-15 minutes later, he comes back. Can't find my wife's bane in their system and claims we went to another enterprise. I tell him that the air park location is the one where we rented from and that they are the ones I gave the deposit through. He adamantly tells me that it was another location. I told him to use my name, just by chance and he finds the records. Didn't even bother listening to me and tells me that we kept the vehicle longer than we were supposed to. I explained that the shop couldn't release our vehicle because they were awaiting paperwork from the other party's insurance, and is why we didn't return the vehicle. He then tells me that the insurance will cut me a check. I asked him how I go about doing that, and he couldn't help. Kevin then hangs up on me. Great customer service. I have called the district manager, last name is Reeber (sp?) and left a message to call me back. It has been a week, and I have not heard back from anybody.
