Auggie (branch manager) made a promise, keep his word, was actually early in completing the task, sent a driver to pick me up and had me driving off prior to his promised time. Throughout all of this he was pleasant and professional - while being apologetic for what was not even his error. Talk about restoring your confidence - he did that. This was an odd one. We had an accident a week before the big storm in St. Louis in March, so we had to rent a car. We rented a car over the weekend ourselves and got full coverage. Then on Monday our insurance company and Enterprise said we had to return the car we rented and get a different car under our insurance policy, my wife asked if she needed full coverage and our insurance company said no we have it on our policy. Well, faster forward to a major storm on friday night. We go to return the car on saturday, and a girl comes out and starts hardcore inspecting the roof of the car for 'hail' damage. Mind you, there was no hail in our area, our other car and no other cars on our street had an hail damage from the storm, that one was way south of us in south city. The girl didn't seem to care at all about the facts. She 'found' some hail marks that hadn't been in the report somehow and filed a claim against our insurance. It was a terrible experience. Lesson learned, when you get any car, inspect the top of the car, make sure you have them note hail damage on the car, otherwise they may tack it on you if there is a storm in the area. read more

The employees really do deserve 5 stars. Victoria, Matthew, Ian, Virginia ( not sure that's her name :/) were all efficient and friendly. My car was one of the best I've had. It was extremely clean, smelled clean and also was a very smooth ride. The bells and whistles were nice too. I rarely write bad reviews, and one of the few negative reviews was with a competitor of Enterprise which still to this day (5 years later) was a horrible customer service experience that makes me uncomfortable to recall. Enterprise is wonderful. Of course I sure wish that the Enterprise at Mid America Airport had more competitive pricing. But my experience with the Ladue location was totally positive. Have used enterprise for years and have highest membership for usage available. Called for 3 days to get a car... answer always the same ...They use the same excuse .... People aren't returning their rentals due to insurance issues that deal with the renters's own vehicle being repaired. Untrue. Went on to say that car parts don't come in and therefore the rental gets extended leaving enterprise without cars. They have used this same line on customers for 4 years. Time for enterprise to man up and spend some money on a bigger fleet. They have one excuse after another. It's unacceptable, unprofessional, and deceitful to treat clients this way. By far some of the most difficult customer service I have received thus far. It is clear that this is a money driven business and not a customer service driven business. Despite calling to communicate delays due to making funeral arrangements they continued to give away the vehicle I had reserved and was unable to offer a comparable alternative. Worst place ever. None of the rental cars place that still have rental mileage limits in the St Louis area. None. We are also not renting anything special as well. And the staff did not explain the rental mileage limit at the time of rental as well. We ended up being charged a huge amount of excess mileage fee. Avoid this place if possible. It is even stated on Enterprise website that unless it is large suv or exotic cars , they should come with unlimited mileage. Will definitely not rent again here. read more

The purpose of the review is two-fold. First, I needed a rental years ago while in school in St. Louis when my car was in the shop. My Insurance agent arranged the rental through Enterprise and I was pleased. The car was clean and the price was good. Second, Enterprise now owns National and Alamo car rentals too. I recently rented from Alamo in Kahului, HI and had some problems. Please see my Alamo review for Kahului, HI. As a result, I was forced to deal with Alamo in Dallas. They were most difficult and so I reviewed them also-please see the review. Enterprise actually cares about customer satisfaction-a novel concept in today's high-pressure business environment. I promptly received a message from Kyle who is in customer service in St. Louis. He asked for an explanation, which I provided. He relayed my information to the risk management team and we were able to resolve the problem to my satisfaction. Enterprise is my go-to rental car agency whenever I'm in need of a car, be it in my own city, or while on vacation. When I'm back in St. Louis and in need of wheels to get me around, this is the Enterprise location I entrust my transportation needs to, and they get it right just about every time. On previous occasions, upon returning a car, I've offered my two cents on what could've gone better, and the agents are always receptive, offering helpful tips for next time, and even free upgrades sometimes! On my most recent trip to St. Louis, I had planned to pick up a rental car directly from the airport, but since my flight was unnecessarily delayed for 3 hours, the rental place closed. So, bright and early the next day, I headed over to the Ladue location. While I had spoken to someone at the Airport locale who ensured me my reservation had been changed, when I arrived at the Ladue store, they didn't have any record of it. Oops! But not to worry, cause they had a car ready to go for me within about 20 minutes! Nice! The rate was probably about a dollar a day more, but it didn't really make a difference to me in the long run. The car (Suzuki Forenza, maybe?) wasn't anything special, but it got good gas mileage, and was able to transport me everywhere I needed to be while in St. Louis, and then some! Thanks Enterprise! Not a very honest establishment to rent from. My advice is to take your own pictures when you first get the rental car AND when you drop off otherwise they will try to pin any previous damage on you - there are other reviews for this location mentioning the same. There was a destroyed seat belt in the back middle seat of my rental which they have no record of but it was that way whenever I received the vehicle. They are claiming I had a dog in the vehicle because they found some pet hair and "the dog must have chewed the seat belt" (I never had my dog in the vehicle. There was some pet hair in the car because I had this rental for 3 months - of course some pet hair came off of my belongings during the time I had the rental). And conveniently enough, no one who I worked with when I got placed in this rental 3 months ago works at this location anymore. Unfortunately I did not take pictures when I got my rental and had to drive back up to this location to get my own after photos so I can dispute this with the claims department. If I actually caused this damage I would have no issue owning up and paying for it but I won't be paying for damage that was not caused by me. read more

An hour wait past my reservations times, high mileages beat up vehicles and no attention to cleaning. This was our first time to use the, "We will pick you up," service and it was just as advertised. The driver was courteous, patient and safe both in picking me up and delivering me back to the Body Shop where my car was being repaired. The Chrysler 200 was a very nice and clean car with fairly easy controls, etc. Ms. Fisher was so nice in checking the vehicle and getting me back on the road quickly. She explained the rental agreement and answered all of my questions concerning the car. My only disappointment was the cost of additional insurance coverage. I know that it is optional but twice before our rentals got damaged by road debris or parking lot incidents so we feel that the insurance is essential. I believe the insurance costs were actually higher than the rental fees! I will definitely do business with this Enterprise location again. :):) read more

We called you at 11:15 and were told that you would be here an hour late and we were also on a waiting list to get a car sometime today. I scheduled a rental a week in advance through my company. On pickup day, management informed me they gave away my reservation. Instead of making it right, they downgraded me to a smaller vehicle. This vehicle was filthy, smelled like cigarette smoke, and the wheel made a funny noise when turning. Just an update to my review from July 7th. I received a follow up call from James the new GM of the Ladue, MO location. He was friendly, listened and seemed sympathetic to my situation. He asked what I wanted him to do to make this right. I said that was totally up to him. All I asked was that he follow back up with me and let me know what he decided to do. As of July 18th no call back. Evidently it is not that important. At this point, not sure I will use Enterprise in the future. I am sure they will survive without me :) As I will without Enterprise. I have been using this office of Enterprise for the past six months. THEY ARE AWESOME!! Super friendly - nice selection of vehicles and they show genuine interest in providing great service. This is the BEST Enterprise office I've ever been to. (I've lived in LA, TAMPA, CINCINNATI) I've always received prompt service and the one time a vehicle type I requested was not available they went out of their way to provide a superior vehicle at the same price. I turned in a car 1 hour before they closed on a Fri. I was there before they opened on Sat. at 9am. I had left a $100 bottle of Australian Gold Tanning lotion in the van that was a gift for my girl friend. Of course at first they barely had a record of me renting a car at all, then told me it was already rented. I ask how, you just opened, they smart ass said "yea were good". I asked don't they clean out the cars before they send them out and he said sure we do. But he wouldn't even check to see if someone found it. Then later he said that it might not have been cleaned out if it looked clean already. So I wont ever use these liars again.
