I use this place for car rental all the time, they are very nice guys and usually accommodate me with an upgraded car for no extra charge. The cars are always brand new with low miles and have tech upgrades to handle the iPhone through the stereo and hands-free driving. They have a driver who is willing to drive out pick me up and bring me to the car rental place so I don't have to arrange any rides from Friends or taxi. They seem very lenient on bringing the car back at the exact hour it is due, they are willing to extend it an hour or two if the drop off time does not make sense for you. Many times I drop it off at night, the next morning when they come in they credit me for the night before drop off and not charge me an extra day. It's always best to check in on your car rental a couple days before you show up, after booking online, when you book online you are booking on a system that handles the entire country and Canada, so it's best practice to call and confirm. It only gets one star because I couldn't give zero . A week prior to needing a vehicle, which was for insurance purposes , I called the local Enterprise and spoke to someone that made the arrangements for me . We arranged to have the vehicle dropped off at my house which is much closer than the bodyshop. The day came to receive the vehicle and no one showed up . I called and was told that they don't do that, although the call went to recorded and the arrangements were agreed to . They absolutely refuse to deliver the vehicle as promised and because of this my daughter had to miss volleyball practice . I don't care how much more I pay, I will never deal with this organization again . By the way they refused to connect me to someone that was about their pay level and only offered someone's email that obviously wouldn't solve the problem in real time . This is the second installment of this review. Enterprise decided to charge my credit card without my authorization twice, about a week after I returned my rental car. I contacted my credit card company and they are handling it, however Enterprise is doing absolutely nothing on their end. Their customer service is awful!! They had the manager of the Lehighton Branch call me last night, I guess just to placate me because he offered me nothing. Then today, I noticed the charges on my card and called my credit card company. When I tried to contact Enterprise customer service, they said they cannot do anything about it and I have to contact the branch I rented from. So that tells me that all of that chatting and calling customer service is useless because they cannot do anything for you. Why would I want to call the same people who botched the rental in the first place, did not walk around the car with me to check damage before I left or when I came back and then called to offer some bs excuses and no recompense at all. He said he was going to email me my invoice and I still have not received that either! I returned their rental car on January 17th and they are charging my card on the 22nd and 23rd. Why? Is it out of spite for the bad review or are the charging me for the next customer renting the car? Either way they are severely incompetent. I am a 74yo retired mid-sized plant manager, my friend a 67yo retired Air Force Colonel/fighter pilot/Delta Captain. We returned yesterday from a grueling 1500 mile journey from the northern coast of Newfoundland, (the last leg an 11-hour drive from northern Maine), with my friend scheduled to pick up a car at 11:30 am yesterday, his plan to meet with old friends last night prior to returning to WY. Upon arriving at this office at 2:13 pm due to unforeseen heavy traffic and accidents, he was told that his reserved car was given to a walk-in customer and there was no car available, as we had not arrived at the appointed time and had not called ahead to advise them, citing that we were "4 hours late", an obvious and blatant exaggeration and fabrication. As you might imagine, my pilot friend became annoyed at this unexpected turn of events, as we both did when the young man who allegedly was the office manager asked that we leave the office because my friend "disrespected him". I dropped my friend off at his hotel, replenished my food supplies and was just ready to step into a much-needed and deserved hot shower prior to picking up my dog at her boarder, when I received a call from my friend, (after he got nowhere with the Enterprise "Escalation Department") asking me to take him to the ABE airport to pick up a car at that Enterprise office, ( a 2-hour round trip in rush hour traffic), not exactly what either of us desired after an arduous long day of driving. He was of course late to meet his friends, and I was unable to pick up my dog until this morning. One of my many duties during my long career as a plant manager was the responsibility for Customer Service. I would have fired on the spot any of my associates if their reaction had been anything but "Ok, this isn't right, how can I best help this customer". The correct response would have been to get on the phone with other local Enterprise offices, locate an alternative car, and have it delivered to my friend's hotel. Instead, this pompous, arrogant and insensitive young man decided to make it about him by repeatedly blaming the situation on not getting a phone call advising of our late arrival, not accepting responsibility for not making a call himself to confirm, and then reverting to the fallback of being "disrespected". This young man has no concept of respect for his customers. My friend in his long 2nd career as a Delta Captain had exclusively used Enterprise as his preferred car rental agency. Operative word being "had", as he never will again. If this office would treat 2 elderly, very weary travelers (one a decorated military veteran) this way even after I explained the length of our journey, I shudder to think of how they would treat anyone else. Please do yourselves a huge favor, and use ANY other car rental service other than Enterprise. Their customer service is just horrible. read more

The young lady I dealt with I wish I remembered her name was fantastic. The vehicle was great. Had zero issues and made our trip. Very enjoy. The Pacifica gets 28.1 miles per gallon on the average and is a very nice ride. Would definitely recommend renting that vehicle. Having a new safe reliable vehicle to travel in under $500 for a week as well worth it. Will definitely rent from them again read more

Recently rented a car from this enterprise and I was overcharged. We all know you can't rent a car with a debit card so I used my regular credit card for my fiance. They charged me as if I was driving the car an extra 45.00. which they were told it wasn't for me it was for him. Didn't know I was being charged extra until after the car was in our possession. Tried calling and they refused to return the money. Said we wanted to talk to the area manager which of course we never heard back from. Needless to say we will never rent a car from the lehighton area. We will drive to Allentown instead. We have rented a car recently from the Allentown location same scenario and wasn't overcharged. This whole 300.00 deposit is ridiculous as well. Especially when you get the insurance. read more

3rd time in a row that they have found issues when returning cars. I scheduled these cars for work purposes. I treat these cars like I treat my own. Not to say that there couldn't be an oops here and there. But three times in a row and the guy replies why are you worried about it your company will cover it under their rider. To me this is shady. It's like they're going out of their way to find issues to make extra money since it's a company that they know will probably just pay it and be done with it. However my employer keeps asking me questions about why these things keep happening. Never happened before when I rented cars from other locations and brought them back to other locations. I will not bring cars back to this location due to this issue. Will go out of my way to return cars to Hazelton instead. read more

I have been renting frequently. It has always been a pleasant experience. Quick booking in and on the road. I love that you can return the car after hours and not be charged. My only issue is that I joined the points reward program and was unable to add my prior rentals for points. It was within the year yet policy changed. Also the 300.00 deposit is too much. It was feasable at 200.00. Changes make it more difficult to rent more often. But all in all it's now become only when needed. Used to be for luxury. read more
