They are nothing but a bunch of crooks. Rent to the car paid a lot of money to rent a car, and they still have $1900 of mine, and they refusing to give me my money back. The cars are nasty. They don't clean nothing, and they think by just putting water on a car makes it clean, and they don't do nothing regarding vacuuming, my daughter got stuck in her hand by a knife that someone left in the vehicle. The regional managers are nothing but a bunch of morons that don't know what the heck you're doing, and Tristan Facer nothing but rude and he thinks he's the man. Going to be going to court regarding them soon, and they keep playing games with me, but they play with the wrong one, and I have been doing business with them for so many years they do treat me like crap. read more

The whole "We'll pick you up" is great! Out in the stix I found myself without a working vehicle. So I called them, and they really do come pick you up. It took some time for them to arrive but that was ok. The car I got was perfect for what I needed. The whole experience was just easy and good. So this chain gets bumped from my default 3 to 4 stars for that. read more

The two times I have rented from Monticello's Enterprise location have been dreamy. Caitlyn and John are both absolutely customer-focused, and fully knowledgeable about both Enterprise policies as well as the ins and outs of the vehicles on their lot. I have always been greeted as if I was an old friend, and been offered upgrades when available as well as lovely personal touches (easy, friendly conversation and super helpful). The cars have always been super clean and in excellent condition. The only downside is that it's a bit difficult to get through on the phone sometimes. I'd like to think it's because the team members here are simply taking their time, in all the right ways, with their customers both at their counter as well as on the phone. Highly recommend this location. Look for John and Caitlyn. It's worth your while. read more

They went above and beyond to make us 100%satisfied. Several months ago my husband and I had a miserable rental experience from the Monticello office, however it was not the fault of the wonderful and friendly agents. It was just customers returning cars late or extending their contracts. Fast forward to my granddaughter's 18 th birthday weekend, and manager Austin more than made the old problem right with a free upgrade to an large desirable Expedition!! We were impressed that he recalled the very bad horrible terrible day monthsa earlier and made the new experience fabulous, amazing and unforgettable for all! Had a reservation for a car on a recent Friday morning. Had been warned that cars aren't always there when you arrive. Called the day before and spoke with Bobby who assured me a car would be available at Noon on the rental day. Arrived at Noon to pick up my car. Sky was there and said there were no cars and didn't know when there would be cars since they needed to be returned first. I explained that I had a reservation and had called they day before. He called to see if there was info on the ETA of car return. No info was available. I was not pleased. I asked about other rental companies in Monticello and he sent me to Hertz, who had a car available. This must be the worst run Enterprise location on the planet. No mention that a car might not be available, no spare cars to cover in case of a shortage. No reasonable answer to my questions. Will never use Enterprise again. read more

My card was charged without permission or explanation and calls and emails not returned for 5 weeks + This is what happened: i had a car rental reservation and payment arranged by the insurance at enterprise rent a car. Initial experience was very good, though the 1st car was dirty and smelly it was right away replaced to another car and relatively quick checkout etc. At car pickup i was assured insurance is paying for rental fee and my cc was only a security deposit. At return it turned out they want to charge for tax, which the insurance covered so i say that it is not was made up and was assured someone will be contacting to discuss, 2 days later i see a charge on my cc, i call to inquire about the charge and again was promised that they will look into it and let me know, a few more times called and was promised the same. 5 weeks later and i am yet to hear back from enterprise. I also emailed care@enterprise several times over the last 10 days and was given the generic looking into it reply with no results. read more

This whole experience reminds me of the Seinfeld episode when Jerry went to Florida with the confirmation number and try to rent a car and there was none. This was my experience with the Monticello branch of enterprise. While spending a couple weeks up and only having one car here I required a car to run back to New York to handle a few appointments so the people I was staying with with wouldn't he stranded, so I called enterprise Rent-A-Car via a real operator received my confirmation number. I called ti be picked up only about 3 mikes from their location , That's where the fun began after a very lovely conversation with the manager I believe his name is Danny from enterprise it seems that although I had the proper confirmation number and appointments to pick up there was no car available being that enterprise is the only game in town which they know, this young was very rude avid didn't seam to know his job . Well after many many hours of going back and forth and back-and-forth we and told that we would not be getting our confirmed car we just stopped buy and to our surprise we we're able to rent a car and was informed that I should feel lucky that I got it and that they never planned to call to say that a car had come in. We picked up a car which was filthy was supposed to have be clean when we picked it up within the hour. After driving about 20 min on 17 the front-end was way off that you got a very lovely arm neck and back massage from the vibration of the wheel and the car was filthy. Ihave been an enterprise customer for 3o years . I was shocked not on the fact that they didn't have the car cause shit happens but the fact the way they handled it, and made ridiculous excuses why they didn't have a car I am not done and will deal with enterprise corporate but beware renting from the Monticello location a confirmation just does not suffice these days. I needed to rent a car for one weekend while my truck was in getting repairs at the dealer. I was expecting a tiny compact car as I had just chosen the "basic" option. When I arrived, I was handed the keys to a BRAND NEW 200C and the thing was AWESOME! The woman who showed me the car went over all the "bells and whistles" that came along with the car....push start, shift dial, back up cam and media center. At the end of the weekend, my truck was still not ready as promised so I had to call and extend my rental. I was worried that it would be an issue, but it wasn't. I ended up having to call two more times to extend the rental period and both of those times, there was no issue. My weekend rental turned into 11 days and I was actually bummed out to have to return the cool car. The staff was very NICE, even the guy out back detailing the vehicles was friendly. The place is small, so be prepared for a little bit of a crowd if you are picking up or returning during a "rush" period (like Saturday morning). I picked up on a Saturday morning and the office was packed and the lot was full, but we only had to wait about 15 minutes before we were out the door with our rental. When I returned the car, we were in and out in less than 5 minutes....but I did stand around talking to the man at the desk about how great the car was and then talking about my own truck. The next time I need a rental, I'm going back to Enterprise in Monticello, without a doubt. This is one of the good businesses in Sullivan County! read more
