I've def had a few rides where the drivers are unkempt with slight smell through out the ride. Most importantly.... NO ONE offers the rides/route/time we needed going to our son's sent-away camp this summer without asking for some ridiculous amount. Super glad I came across their info online and will definitely ride again with them. (love that new car smell and smooth ride)

The first wow! was how quickly we received a response. We requested a quote and received a detailed reply within the hour. We appreciated the follow-up confirmation of our reservation 24 hours before our trip began via both email and text. The next wow! was when we met our driver at JFK. We were able to track the location of the car via app and knew exactly where the driver was at all times. The vehicle was a shiny black Cadillac XT6 and the driver was dressed in a dark suit (and wore white gloves! I can't think of many car service drivers that present at that level in this day and age outside of the major urban areas). High touch services continued during our ride. You want wifi? You got it. Would you prefer still or sparkling water? A fragrance-free environment. It felt like a mini spa treatment in a car as our driver calmly and competently slogged (if that's possible) through a nasty accident-induced traffic jam AND a torrential storm that flooded the highway while we dozed off and caught up on emails. The fare is all-inclusive of tolls, gratuity, number of bags, etc. No worries about nickel-and-dime surcharges. TLDR: An exceptional package of comprehensive transportation services, flawlessly delivered with bells and whistles.

It's their business, their reputation on the line. I was looking for a car service last minute, the night before my flight yesterday, to take me from La Guardia to a friend's home 1 1/2 hrs away in Montgomery. I called CAR24. Mike was super prompt in returning my text at 11:00pm, assured me he had availability and we'd touch base in the morning. True to his word, we booked the car in the morning and he gave me a very competitive rate. Didn't tack on last minute fees. Done, texted confirmation number. Gave me name of my driver, Allison, who touched base 5 min later with her cell number. Super prompt, funny and friendly, riding with Allison was a pleasure. A key thing to note: take your cues from the client. She didn't start chatting until I did. I'm from New Orleans and work in the hospitality industry there, handling conventions with 10,000-30,000 in attendance. I book about 250 private car service for clients a year. There are a few key things that are expected from a private car service that are unbendable: reliability, communication, cleanliness and polite manners in drivers, who understand it's not about them it's about the client. Likewise from a client: tip the driver and tip in cash. If you get good service, show it by tipping more than 20% of the fare. In our industry, there is nothing worse than a rude passenger and a bad tipper. Home run for CAR24. Allison even stopped at CVS so I could run in and grab something. Thank you!!! MaryBeth

They are very reliable. It was great service with a smile. It was a smooth ride in both directions.read more

I wasn't nervous at all, which for me is amazing! He was super polite and helpful! I couldn't love AHudson Valley Limo any more than I do! Will always use them when I need a car! Wonderful!

This limo service actually deserves a negative rating!!!…read more I had contracted with them to provide limo service for my son's wedding at West Point, NY and paid a deposit of $400 in March 2008 for the wedding, which took place on January 17, 2009. The service was recommended by friends and they actually took the time to inspect the vehicles to make sure they were okay. On the day of the wedding the first limo arrived at the hotel to transport the saber bearers and groom to the Cadet Chapel at West Point. Upon arriving at the main gate it was discovered that the driver did not have photo ID, so the limo was stopped. Bear in mind that a wedding at West Point is a timely affair and they do not allow you to start late or extend the services. It is also a Federal installation - a fact that seemed to be lost to the limo service. I was still at the hotel and instructed the other limo driver to load up the groomsmen, my wife and I only to discover that he too did not have photo ID! We commandeered a Ford Explorer to transport us to the chapel. At this point, the anxiety level - already at a high point - peaked at the hotel. It was no secret that the wedding was at West Point and that photo ID was required - not to mention the fact that both drivers were operating vehicles without their drivers license - a fact that seemed to have little meaning to them. I'm sure the local or State Police would not be impressed with the fact that both drivers "left their wallets at home". The first limo driver was issued a federal citation which, unfortunately, will probably be thrown out after valid ID is presented. Luckily, we had a qualified (and licensed) limo driver handy ( a wedding guest, no less) and he literally jumped in the limo (telling the driver to get out) and transported people to the chapel on time. The limo driver actually was forced to stand at the gate while someone brought him proper ID. My son ended up, standing at the gate (in extremely cold conditions) directing traffic until someone forced him to get in a vehicle and go the the chapel. The MPs were very apologetic but he just told them they were doing their job. I gave the company a check for half of the balance due (before the reception started) in order to ensure that they would pick up the bride and groom after the reception and take them to their hotel. On the way to the hotel the bride became ill and used a plastic bag so as not to soil the limo. The limo driver had the nerve to leave the bag on the front porch of the B&B to be discovered by my son the next morning. Obviously professionalism is not part of their service agreement. I called them today to inform them that a stop payment had been initiated and that, if possible, I would also like to receive my deposit as well. The owner had the nerve to tell me he was upset that I was not paying him since he felt that they had upheld their part of the contract and picked up and delivered on time. Bottom line, there are numerous limousine services in the area so don't bother to use Hudson Valley Limousine.

She picked us up on Sunday at Newark Liberty Airport and drove us to Red Hook in Dutchess County. On Saturday we took the reverse trip. Communication (text, phone, and in-person conversations) was always easy and direct. She texted us with specific instructions for how to find her at the airport. She drove calmly, competently, and very safely. She checked in by text two days prior to our return trip, and to be safe, we arranged a pickup 4 hours before the time we wanted to be at the airport due to the heavy snowfall (8 inches) expected the next day. Both trips went smoothly and the cars used felt safe and reliable. We trusted Nancy and will trust her or any of her other drivers again for our future trips to New York. We highly recommend her and invite you to benefit from her service.

TLDR: This is not a professional service. Look elsewhere…read more We had such a bad experience, I don't even know where to begin this story. First, the website to book doesn't work on iPhones, and you should use your computer. We've had two crazy experiences with this company but this last one was a major doozy. Their process is, once the proposed reservation is booked, they accept it and send you confirmations, and even after that, almost everyday you'll get an email confirming your booking. You'd think this was reassuring? We have two people on an account so we both were getting emails and texts confirming the booking. Reassuring. You'd think. The day of our reservation arrives and it's to get to JFK. The time for the car to arrive comes and goes. Reminder: This after actual text conversations back and forth reconfirming the booking as well as all those emails. So we text in that morning and the person says, oh you cancelled 3 weeks ago. I mean, how?! How did we cancel 3 weeks ago when you have been sending daily confirmation reminders as well as having text reconfirmations to confirm the date and time and the booking was made well after June 6th. Again, we have had at least 10 emails and texts confirming conversations since that debacle of our first request for a car back on June 6. Texts and calls back and forth that they are wrong finally got us a driver to the house 2 hours late! Initial flight missed at this point. We had to change flight reservations and make alternate plans for arrival. It was stressful. Beyond stressful. We are still holding out in good faith for them tho. We need to get to get to JFK and really giving them so much benefit of the doubt at this point. 40 mins to arrival promised. An hour later... the driver calls, who is supposed to be a professional driver, and she is somewhere parked who knows where trying to find the house. She's had the address and has CarPlay (as she rolls up finally I see she has her phone, so assumed she's using CarPlay or Google Maps) but parked and waiting at a totally different address. Again, another sign. But we need to get to the airport and are feeling like, beggars can't be choosers, just get us there! However, we really were just questioning this whole experience at this point and how this company is still in business. The driver finally pulls up, and it's obvious she isn't a driver, she's got a sun hat on and not dressed like "car drivers" are typically dressed and put together. I open the trunk and there is a wheelchair back there... I don't even know what to say to this. Except that she is now unable to help with luggage, clearly. And even more so, it has been validated that this is not a professional car service driver and seems to be a friend who has been asked to do a favor for the company. As she's on her phone, I'm assuming, googling a route to JFK, I say to my wife, make sure she doesn't drive off with your luggage when you arrive. The drive to the airport was pretty traumatic too. The driver was not experienced and clearly nervous the whole way, jerking the wheel and braking every time someone passed her. At JFK she didn't know where to pull over and allow for a safe exit and she really did almost drive off with my wife's luggage had my wife not banged on the car for her to stop! She was taking off before my wife even had a chance to get to the trunk. It was insanity. Later that evening, 6:52pm, I kid you not, we both get texts saying, your driver is on the way, with a notice saying, their late policy goes into effect after 15 minutes of waiting. Is this a joke? Then an hour later we get a text saying the trip has ended and they hope we had a pleasant and comfortable ride. Oh, we had a ride...that was insane and we can't recommend this company based on our experience. They need an administrative overhaul. Communication in excess doesn't mean good communication. A website that works on phones. Our driver was NOT a professional driver. They rolled up in their own car and were not dressed professionally, as well as their car not being set up for taking a customer to a busy airport. Not to mention, the driver was unable to provide a basic driver service of placing luggage in the trunk.
