My husband and I had occasion to visit your location at 1054 S. State Highway 46 in New Braunfels, TX. This store was extremely busy, and I believe they were down two employees. Despite the chaos, Alex Dolensky and Dylan Davis kept everything moving smoothly, while remaining patient and courteous. They both juggled phone calls, attended to car rentals, and welcomed each person who walked in. One of the incoming phone calls was a customer who wanted to know how to remove the keys from the ignition. Alex also calmly explained to several renters how the insurance would work in each of their cases. I have rented two vehicles from their company hoping to get good customer service the second go around. However, their reviews are mixed, with most complaints being about their customer service. I was able to make a reservation, only to show up and be told that there were no vehicles available. it's crazy to me that company that generates $39 billion a year cannot make a website that accurately tracks their own fleet. Read the other reviews....they suck and unfortunately there's nothing we can do about it and are stuck with them especially if this is the closest enterprise to you. Making a reservation means nothing. They won't hold the car class that you paid for. Staff is always disorganized, unprofessional and extremely rude. Most of the cars I've rented are in bad shape/filthy. And they usually have very low inventory. So you are stuck with what they want to give you. Also even if you schedule a pick up to your home ahead of time they are always late. You are better off taking a uber to them. Like I said if this is the closest enterprise to you like how it is for me we are pretty much doomed with them unfortunately. But if you can rent elsewhere I would definitely do it. read more

I was a long-time customer of the Advantage franchise in this town whenever I needed a rental while waiting for car repairs, but with the Advantage bankruptcy and reorganization, that location has since closed. I recently had the opportunity to rent a vehicle from this Enterprise location, and I have to say I was very impressed with their performance. I rented on a bill-through from one of the local repair shops, and wound up in a Nissan Alitma with just under 10,000 miles on the clock. The vehicle was clean inside and out, the only exception being an overlooked clear plastic bottle cap in the back seat. Pricing on the bill-through was more than fair at $25.98 a day, and the LDW was cheaper than expected at $14.99 a day. The trick to the good prices appears to be the shop bill-through, as I have rented from this location before when they have not been nearly as competitive. read more

Horrible business. Someone hit my truck, used them thru Allstate as their preferred provider. Arranged to be picked up at the dealer at 10am when truck was dropped off. 45 minutes and nothing. Called, said they were on the way and had to pick up another car. Waited another 45 minutes and nothing. Called again, they didn't know who I was this time but said 15 minutes. After over 2 hours of standing there I had to get a ride to Budget and walked in and got a car. Never heard from Enterprise again, still don't know if they ever showed but I doubt it. If I could give zero stars, I would. Do not use this location. These guys are unprofessional, poorly trained, and just plain unethical. They will give you a piss poor walkthrough, and then charge you for damage the vehicle already had when you picked it up. It all comes from the top though. The expeerience started out a little rough because when I called for roadside assistance, I was disconnected. However, I was able to call directly to the local dealer and they were actually expecting me, so that was a nice surprise. They immediately dispatched the shuttle to me, picked me up at my disabled car and returned me to the dealership for my rental. Customer service was perfect. The paperwork was easy. I am a young driver and this was my first time renting a car. When I was dropped off at Enterprise by my mechanic, I had to wait 2 hours for a car. The car they gave me had a massive dent in the side and had mechanical issues. They charged me for taking a "luxury car" even though I didn't really have a choice. I called in to get a different car a couple days later because of serious mechanical issues and they said they would have a car ready when I showed up, they did NOT have one ready. I had to wait an hour. When I returned the car early because of mechanical issues and they tried to blame the dent in the side (noted earlier) on me?!? (what in the world!) They were charging me their insurance, even though mine covered rental cars, so I had a bill I was not prepared for! I just really, really hated my experience here. read more

Failed to tell me I would be charged another day of rental for being one hour late. I felt set-up. I would have used the car the additional 23 hours had I known. Rented a vehicle on April 26, 2018 to pick up at the location at 4831 S Interstate 35, New Braunfels, TX 78132 on Sunday, July 29 at 3pm. I called this location and confirmed by phone directly on April 26 AND again on July 9, 2018. They verified with me my vehicle size, pick up date and time and location. We discussed upgrading and whether the vehicle size would be suitable for 5 adults PLUS luggage. On Sunday, July 29 at 2:30pm we arrived at the rental location to see signs hanging up all across the front of the building announcing they had "changed our hours." They were no longer open on Sundays as of June 2018. I was NEVER informed of this when I called and confirmed my reservation in July, nor did I receive any kind of contact from this location either via telephone or email that I would no longer be able to pick up my rental. I ended up contacting customer service who found me a vehicle at the airport in San Antonio. When I arrived there, I was informed that they would not be honoring the dollar amount from the New Braunfels location, the vehicle ended up having to be upgraded and I was charged $300 more. After I returned the vehicle to the airport on the designated day, a few hours earlier, my credit card was charged about a week and a half later for almost double the original amount AND I received yet another bill in the mail from the Enterprise business office that I owed $172 in local city/airport taxes, which put my total rental costs over $500 more than I was originally supposed to pay. I was to remit a check for the amount. I called the business office, was told they would "look into it" and call me back. After a week, I checked and found my credit card had been charged by Enterprise for an additional $184 on top of the $599 I had already paid. When I called and questioned why the amount was higher than the billing statement, I was told to contact the Airport location directly and they would remove the extra almost $12 charge. I contacted the airport, was told the manager was "busy" and would get back with me in a few hours. Well its been almost 24 hours and I still haven't heard from the manager. I will NEVER rent another vehicle from Enterprise Rent-A-Car again. read more

Sales reps are accommodating and usually pretty fast at this location. I think their computer system is what slows them down. They have a lot of traffic at this location. Often there is no room to leave your personal car and you have to leave it out on the neighboring street. Also due to the high volume at this location, you will often get a car that just came back in, so don't be surprised if it is not very clean on the inside, especially the windows. Let me begin by saying that the customer service was wonderful in New Braunfels, HOWEVER, there were issues with the SUV... Which speaks to other deficiencies in the New Braunfels location: It ran out of wiper washer fluid day 2 (out of 9), so you can imagine how dirty the windshield got with all the dead bugs we hit on the highway. Then it needed an oil change by day 3 and we were in the middle of nowhere in west Texas. Me and the 7 other members in our group lost almost an entire day from our road trip looking for a place to change the oil and then waiting for it to get done. That was an extremely disconcerting and frustrating experience for all of us. The road trip was a bucket list item for my mother and our agenda, which was planned months ahead of time, was completely derailed by this event. I thought Enterprise is supposed to top off all fluids and regularly service their vehicles. I guess not always. read more

I had made reservations online so the pick-up process was very fast. I got a much nicer car than I expected for an Economy rental. When I returned the car it was also a very quick process. I agree with some of the other comments that the car was not up to my cleanliness standards on the inside. In fact, it smelled as if a smoker had rented it previously. However, this was not a huge issue for me. I simply cleaned the inside of the front window, threw in an air freshener and was on my way. read more

Fast, efficient and customer service oriented....that is what describes this Enterprise. When they have not had a reserved rental in stock at check-out, they have always happily upgraded....no fuss and for the same price as reserved vehicle. On a long trip out to Canyon Lake to come get me, there was a communication breakdown (mostly my fault), the guy returned to New Braunfels without me. When I explained the importance of having a vehicle that evening (it was close to closing time for them), they sent another driver to come and get me---at no extra charge! I gave them $10 for gas---the least I could do. They allowed me to drop the vehicle in Austin at no extra charge.......the manager is sooo nice and accommodating to his customers and his employees are friendly and professional.
