It's a rent a car and they really try to help you get I to the car you want with ease

Very nice staff but they have no cars. Rented 3X over the last month and a half. Twice they did not have the size car I rented and had to make do with something else. Once the agent even had to give me the car he was driving because they had nothing else! The last time I booked a full size car and they gave me a compact car for a 4+ hr highway drive. Car wasn't cleaned and didn't even have a half tank of gas. Last time I use them. Totally undependable. read more

We often rent from Enterprise in New Milford and booked a car for an upcoming trip. We did it by phone this time (with the main office) instead of in person as the New Milford office was closed when we were in town. All numbers listed online are routed to the main office. Cars are no longer delivered to the house so we had some questions about parking. To date (2 days later) it has been impossble for us to have anyone at the office pick up the phone. We have gone through the central number and even complained to the Executive Office, who promised to intervene. We still have not received a call back. We live a half hour away so it is not convenient to make a special trip there. Service has really gone downhill! read more

Needed a pickup truck last minuted (like same/next day). I believe it was Matt (or possibly Mike,sorry) that I spoke with. Called up, said I needed a truck. Put me on hold for a few minutes and told me he had a truck coming back the day before I needed it and offered to reserve it for me. In addition to that, I couldn't get a ride to pick it up the following morning so he let me grab it the evening before when they closed. If you want to encounter rude staff that will engage with you in a condescending manner, this is the rental place for you. When upon attempting to rent a car, I failed miserably. Was being helped by staff who then was interrupted by the 'manager' who cut into the transaction and began asking questions in a rude manner as if he was my boss... An argument that was extremely unprofessional ensued. I attempted to contact the head-manager of the office and was informed that he would indeed be getting back to me. What happened next was the best part - I was then told by this gentleman that I had swore at the representatives! I was with several colleagues who certainly wouldn't have tolerated that type of language nor in a million years would I speak like that in public. An attempt to resolve this issue failed with Chris, the head-manager, when he lied and promised to get back to me several times. ---- AFTER CONTACTING ME I EMAILED THEM MY PHONE #. CONTINUED.. I'm really disappointed in this company. They reached out to me (you can see in my other review) and failed to continue the tone you see below of actually caring what happened. The person I spoke with, Jennifer Boyko, left a message at 3:45 pm to call her - on a Friday. When I called her back in 15 min she was out of the office. Her voicemail message says that she is in the office M-Thursday until 4pm. I tried to bring this up with Jennifer when I then waited the several days to speak with her and she immediately became rude and only relaxed when I told her the conversation was being recorded ("That's fiiiiine!!"). She had no idea what I was talking about. She had no information about my review. She becomes fake nice when I explain to her the issue, and immediately as she is learning the story for the first time becomes defensive. She is not even listening to the point but is trying to explain to me the rental protocol of insurance policies and defending the enterprise branch. When I tried to explain that this is becoming redundant she gets even more upset and begins to kill me with extreme kindness. She interrupts me several times and does not let me speak. When I ask for her manager she gives me a phone number. I leave a message and am never contacted. Beware of their fake internet compassion that dissolves in the real world. It is truly sad when a company only cares about money and is not at all compassionate. read more

Wow, was just about to rent a car from this location and was reading the Yelp reviews. All negative and a huge surprise for me. Over many years I've rented several times from this location and have had nothing but a phenomenal experience with a highly professional group. Granted I think the last time I rented was two years ago, and I may have encountered an earlier group, but I think it can't change that badly. I couldn't be happier with the service and cars I had to recently rent from Enterprise while my car was in the body shop. They dealt with my insurance company directly with no problem so all I had to do was pick up and return the car. They also picked me up and took me back to the body shop. Easy-peezy rentals. I rented here because it was nearest to the auto-body shop that was repairing my own car. An Enterprise employee both picked me up at the repair shop when I rented and took me back to it when my repaired car was ready three days later (both the repair shop and Enterprise told me this was SOP). Everyone I encountered at every stage of my rental was wonderfully friendly and efficient. The car itself was clean and smooth running, and I found the price remarkably low. What's more, when I returned my Enterprise car, though I was 20 minutes past the due-back time, I wasn't charged for that excess. In all, my experience with Enterprise couldn't have been better. read more

Do not rent a car from this company. They just did the "you have a dent in your car " fraud act to my son. They never did the once over in checking out the car when my son rented it. When he returned it they claimed that there is a new ding in the back trunk area and are making his insurance pay for it. We will be reporting them to the Better Business Bureau also. read more

I have previously had good luck with this location but recently was very dissatisfied with their service and responsiveness to locate items that were mistakenly left in the car. Several phone calls were never followed up and ultimately the items were never located when the car was rented to another customer and returned to a different location. I also feel that they mislead my wife in buying the Enterprise insurance coverage for a rental while her car was being repaired after a minor accident. The insurance coverage cost nearly as much as the rental itself and they knew darn well that our own insurance was going to cover the full cost of the rental so there was no need for us to purchase additional insurance. I am absolutely appalled at the practices done at this location. I rented a car through my insurance for 3 weeks. My insurance company was to pay for the entire cost. I was NEVER made aware of any cost to be paid by me. When I returned the car, I had no issues. When it came time for them to refund my $100 deposit, 3 days later, I was told that it was my part to pay approximately $3/day because I upgraded the vehicle. I was NEVER given any other option on a vehicle. So after hearing this news I called back, this was on a Monday 4/13. I was offered a refund of the full amount because it was not disclosed to me about the cost. By Thursday morning, nothing had hit my bank account. I called the facility and was told that the payment was processed Wednesday, 4/15, and that it should be hitting my bank account shortly. By Tuesday, 4/21, the FOLLOWING WEEK, the money was still not in my bank account. So I called New Milford Enterprise and was told that the fees and taxes were my responsibility and that I will not be getting a refund. I was LIED to about the refund being processed that previous WEDNESDAY. When I expressed my concern, I was told that I will be getting my refund. It is now FRIDAY, 4/24, and I still have not received my refund. It is absolutely UNACCEPTABLE to LIE to customers. They received a VERY HEFTY check from my insurance company, there is not need to slam customers with unexpected fees and charges and the LIE!!! I am disgusted with the facility and plan to never return OR use enterprise again. read more
