Never rent from enterprise. booked months in advance full size suv. not available when I arrived ahead of family vacation. no one contacts you to let you know your car isn't available. just show up and pray. at least the call center rep wasn't helpful as well. I was a long time customer up until now. I will never rent with them again. Their solution below- go to a website and fill out a form stay on hold for 10 mins to talk to a customer service person out of the country you can barely understand and cant help anyway. No stars!!! reserve a luxury car middle of March for June 11. The night before at 8:00 pm they left me a message that no luxury car available which I didn't see because I was packing for the next day. Went to the North Haven Enterprise the next morning at 8:00 am that's when I was told no cars available. why didn't they get in touch with me Tuesday or Wednesday so I could have looked somewhere else. Easy, good experience with staff. They were helpful, nice, and accommodating. Car was fine. The price for them to fill up gas was a shockingly good deal! The only thing bad thing that is somewhat significant is that they do not allow you to park your vehicle there while you are gone. Wouldn't have been that big of a deal if I would have known ahead of time but I had no heads up about this. It just ended up adding nearly an hour of extra time to my trip that I wasn't prepared for in order to take my vehicle back to my place. That was disappointing, but other than that pretty good. read more

My daughter's Enterprise rental car was deliver to her right on time.The first thing they did was ask her to walk around the car, and inspect it. Once she got in the car to drive it she noticed a message light on the dash board indicating routine maintenance required. She stop by to ask me about it. I notice in the left hand upper corner of the windshield there was a next service sticker. Doing the math the car has not not been service in eight months and 11,604 miles. The tire rotation was over due by 5,604 miles, and the oil change was over due by 6,604 miles. I would think the person delivering the car would notice a routine maintenance required light being on before delivering the vehicle, and Enterprise would look at service records, and inspect vehicles before renting them out. They obviously do not maintain their vehicles. read more

The staff was friendly and helpful, yet professional. They were also accommodating to meet my rental needs. I needed a car within hours of making the reservation online and offered me a pickup truck, which was the last vehicle they had available. They also walked me to the truck, did a brief walk around to note any scratches or dents that were present. The location was easy to get to and the office was clean and organized. As a side note... On the way to NH for a getaway weekend we got a flat and the BMW dealership didn't have the car tire in stock. In order to keep our cabin reservation we needed to rent a new car while we waited for the tire to come in. To be fair, the two men working were very nice and funny, but that didn't make up for the communication issues and the subpar car we received. We reserved the car online and after getting a confirmation code, had the BMW representative call in a pickup for us. As soon as the pickup was confirmed, they called us to cancel our initial reservation with no explanation, only to realize at the pickup that they canceled our reservation, for us! The problems didn't end there. Our car smelled of cigarettes and the USB input was dead, forcing us to buy a new adapter to charge our phones and hope apple car play would work for the rest of our drive up to NH. Long story short, there were electrical problems with the car that would cause the car to continuously short circuit. We made it to NH and back safely, which we are grateful for! Just very surprised about such a bad experience with enterprise when we've always had such great experiences before. read more

I spoke to someone from this branch on the phone hours before dropping off who assured my drop off time was okay. When I arrived to drop off my rental the branch manager charged me for a 2 day rental, when I asked her why or for a breakdown she refused to offer me a print out. I told the manager that I didn't have time to discuss and asked for a print out so I could have it fixed later on. She refused to give me a print out or receipt. After insisting on receiving a print out before walking out of the door, the manager turned bright red and screamed in my face. Yes, you are reading this correctly SCREAMED in my face. I will never ever rent from this company again. They have 0 customer service skills. read more

The males who work there swarm around Lauren during work hours while ignoring customers. They act as if they are horney frat rejects about to room in the hay & think nobody notices, also they act like they are too good to work at enterprise and be genuinly nice to anyone- or maybe they're just selective in who they ACT professional for. Needed an emergency car-rental one late Sat morning due to serious mechanical problems with my personal car which would take several days to fix Also had a few challenges payment-wise due to only having a debit card available in my name for reasons I won't go into. Dwight @ North Haven Enterprise really went out of his way to help figure out a way to make it it work. Not only that but since the econo-box I had reserved was not in stock I ended up with an unexpected vehicle upgrade! Overall excellent customer service ... They had to vacuum it really fast as the car was not ready since I got a slightly larger car than reserved. Patrick took initial reservation and also processed me when I arrived. Everything went smoothly when we picked the vehicle up. Had to wait a few because the vehicle was getting washed and had just returned from the previous trip. With that being said, we get the vehicle, my wife is driving and it stinks like smoke. This upsets my wife because we have a newborn baby riding in the back seat. Also the interior was filthy as if it hadn't been vacuumed at all, and for whatever reason not sure as to what the previous renter did but it had a stench of farm animal or hay. Either way, i use rental cars often due to traveling for work and have never encountered a filthy stinky vehicle like this one. After we get our car back form body shop and drop this stinker off we will never rent from this location again...... read more

This arrangement did me no justice. My trip had took a different turn. I had spoke with the "Owner/manager"-John- over the phone in regards to my set up date. Everything seemed fine. No additional extras were mentioned except the regular papers/license needed to leave with their vehicle. I go inn and was hoping to be greeted correctly -also, I had a question or two I saved for -John- in person. He happened to have 1 customer in front of me and I over heard a sales rep on the phone in their office in the back. I would of waited patiently if I would of known what happened next... This Bimbo rep rushes off the phone to greet me in a LOUD unpleasant way...I don't know if she was having a bad morning? So she then told me the requirements I needed to leave with the rental. I already was told by John the night of-so I pulled out my license and papers, she then started a disagreement in a obscure manner telling me that my (utility bill) was not up to date. I mean, I get it...BUT WHY NOT TELL ME THIS CRAP BEFORE I GET THERE? WHEN I SPOKE TO JOHN I MADE SURE I WAS TOLD ANY LOOPS THAT I NEEDED TO BE AWARE OFF! APPARENTLY, JUST THE REGULAR. I ended up looking up their policy when I left, it was true-- but was it really necessary to react in that rude manner? He SHOULD OF WARNED ME. I WASTED ALL MORNING TRYING TO GET THERE! I told her that the balance was paid just not updated on paper...she wasn't hearing it! Just wanted to disagree with whatever I said. - I tried explaining for 10 minutes-but she then over and over talked over me in a LOUD manner. I then moved aside and looked over to John- who was still busy with customers. I decided to walk out. It was too early to argue with that mess of a representative. For future bookings HERE, make sure your utility bill is updated at zero- WITH BILL PRESENT- SO if you choose to go to this location though. Plus, watch out for Miss skinny legs/fake boobs/big horse mouth over there...she was very disrespectful and had no customer satisfaction guarantee whatsoever. She just wanted me to leave! I made a reservation for an 11:00am pickup. I arrived at 10:45am in case the car might be ready, but was prepared to wait the extra 15 minutes. Instead, I was shuttled across town, where the car was still receiving an oil change, and was forced to wait until 11:40am. Not the worst part, however. At the Enterprise office, I was told the car would need a cleaning, and was asked if I wanted to wait or take it to a car wash myself and be reimbursed. Thinking the car was just dirty and needed a pass through the wash, I was unconcerned. I just needed the car to get me from point A to point B and back. I was not prepared for the utterly disgusting vehicle I eventually received. The exterior wasn't the issue. The interior had trash all over the floors, the seats were filthy, the steering wheel had dirt literally caked onto it, and the smell of BO was overpowering. If I wasn't already late by the time I got the car and needed to get going, I would've refused the take it. I had my head out the window for almost the whole drive to where I needed to be. The location in North Haven is awful. From having a bucket for days below the AC unit for the water, to a very bad smell all across the office. The guys are "OK" could use some more Customer Service Skills. First I scheduled a pick up for 5:30pm. I got there at 6:10p vehicle wasn't there because "they only hold it for 30 mins" which i understand; just would've appreciate it if they told me that or a phone call before renting it out to someone else. THE CAR: smelled like smoke all over. They "reconditioned" it after I mentioned that because I don't smoke. However after the vehicle was shut off and I started it again the smell came back on... EVERY SINGLE time I was in the vehicle... And needed and Alignment almost got into an accident because of it... Then the shuttle driver (Marcus) mentioned how he doesn't understand how some customer don't just walk if they are near by instead of just waiting for him. Which it wasn't my case but don't think he is a position to make that type of comments. read more

Terrible experience! Every car smelled like smoke! Limited inventory! Assistant manager rude and inexperienced! Kept me waiting 30 minutes while they retrieved cars from Hamden! While I was waiting overheard manager look the other way when a customer returned a damaged vehicle! She owned insurance company down the street so he let it slide! I have nothing but good things to say about the service at enterprise. After being in a car crash, I had a car right away. I had one car for a month and then gave it up for another car. Honestly, I liked the car so much I went and bought one! And enterprise was so accommodating about returning the car to another location. Lauren Palumbo specifically was a referral from a colleague who rented an SUV @ Enterprise in North Haven Connecticut recently. I have never had a good rental car experience !! Never !! Surprisingly needing a rental I contacted Lauren and I immediately felt @ ease, Lauren explained what I needed to reserve my vehicle as well as what to bring upon arrival. I literally was in and out in 15 minutes. The "BEST" rental car experience EVER !! As I mentioned I've rented many vehicles in a variety of states as well as with different rental company's. Most of them @ an airport where I traveled too and it was Always a Horrible experience !! My car was totaled in an accident and Enterprise helped me out with great professional service, as opposed to who my AAA advised me to use. David had my car and paperwork ready when I walked in the door, even took care of the red tape with the insurance company for me! I was out of there within 15 minutes tops, even when I returned the car. Their follow up during the time I had the car was great, they didn't laugh at stupid questions like "how do you open the gas tank?"
