Unfortunately there isn't an option to leave a 0. This facility doesn't deserve any stars. They continually take a booking and then cancel last minute because they don't have a car. This has happened to us multiple times. When you do get a car it's likely to have 50 thousand miles on it and have been smoked in. The only reason they're still in business is this is the only rental company in Old Saybrook. Do yourself a favor and go to the TURO app or use Hertz at New London Groton jet port. read more

I put in a rental 3 weeks ago- needed a 7 passenger vehicle. Was told one would be available for 8 am today! Well here it is after 11 and still no vehicle. Try explaining to kids who are all excited to go to an amusement park that is only open from 230 - 530 on Wednesdays and offers if you purchase for Taft day you can go free the next that they are t going because you have no way of getting them there! Not only did I not get a vehicle on time but it cost me extra $800.00 because I'll have to purchase admissions twice- that is of course if I ever get a vehicle - not to mention the cost of a now non-refundable payment to an Airbnb that I can't get to! This place sucks. If you ever rent from Enterprise you better make sure your rental is booked for two days before you actually need it. I got your reply - however enterprise knew they'd was an issue as if Tuesday early afternoon/ so why no contingency plan was put in place is unacceptable! I now have to drive to Bradley 1 hour away to go back an hour to pick up family - and luggage to start our vacation 6 hours later and $400.00 lost ! read more

My rental insurance covers up to $30 a day or $900 and I had the vehicle from the 28th of November until the 19th of December so that's 22 days. There is no reason they should've kept my deposit of $150 and still charged me another $37 to boot . So $187 total. I returned that vehicle in good condition and I was counting on my deposit back . I want a refund and I will make sure that I get one . I just had to pay the deductible for my car that was in shop and now I'm out another $200 on Christmas . Thank guys . I picked up the rental car on the 28th in the am . And returned it Saturday morning the 19th . My insurance extended the rental until the 19th . I returned the vehichle in good condition. No reason I should've been charged $38 today and then not gotten any of my $150 deposit back . I am absolutely disgusted and will make sure that this gets around. Awful business practice and then to charge someone's card without contacting them first is disgusting especially in times like these. Merry Christmas to me . read more

I recently rented it car for two weeks and I'd like to say that the young lady Isabella and the young man who cleaned and maintains the cars were excellent. There were some customers ahead of me that were very hard to please and Isabella handled it very professionally with patience and kindness. Hands down the best customer service I've ever witnessed at a car rental. Ron in particular was an excellent agent.

It used to be a nice place to rent a car or a van. People used to be well trained, saw you as a person, cared about your needs and did good business for the corp. Now it is just another corporate office where they dont care, they dont give a damn and you are just a tool. Congrats: Enterprise has become like Uhaul! We will never rent from them again after renting hundreds of times in the last 5 years. read more

The customer service at this location was great. I picked up on Friday before the holiday and had no issues getting on the road quickly. My only complaint was the vehicle was not great. Terrible experience. 1 Star is too much needs to be NEGATIVE 10 STARS! Seat belt didn't lock was broken was ticketed by officer for no seat belt. Lift gate was rusted so bad pieces kept falling off every time we used it. The truck was rented with less than 1/4 tank and we returned it with more than 1/2 tank with no credit given. I came in to Old Saybrook Enterprise after an extremely stressful morning after dealing with a nearby Ford dealership not issuing me a rental car while my car was in the shop. I was quickly greeted by an associate named Jon. He handled my request quickly and he took control of my situation by contacting the Ford Dealer and dealt with them directly to make sure that everything was taken care of. He made sure I fully understood everything he was explaining and took the time to explain how everything works. He walked me around the rental car and told me if I had any questions to call him and he would be happy to help. Coming from a seasoned customer service manager he provided exceptional customer service and he was extremely accommodating. I hope I never need another rental car but if I ever do I will absolutely do business with Old Saybrook Enterprise. read more

We were given a replacement car as the first had a flat tire. The car we were given was filthy in and out, had a terrible smell and more importantly had a knocking noise and felt unsafe. We went to the local office as soon as they opened on a Saturday to request a replacement and both employees were indifferent and said they had no cars there. We asked repeatedly for them to get one from another Enterprise..."we will try" was there answer but it was apparent they had no intention of calling or making any attempt to fix the situation. We travel extensively and rent cars every month, I will never use Enterprise again or authorize any of my employees to do so either. Needed a large SUV to get 6 adults to Boston for the weekend. Made the reservations at the office. All staff very friendly, and very helpful. I was suppose to pick up the vehicle at 9am Saturday morning. I got a call at 1pm Friday afternoon from the young woman who manages this location. She said she just got a 2015 Suburban back from a customer and I can pick it up now. No extra charge.What a great place to rent a vehicle from. read more

The gentlemen at the front desk are awesome and quite personable. The car was nice and they are thorough with checking for damages. Only reason I give 4 stars is that the car was given to me with 1/8 of a tank when 1/4 was marked and the oil change light lit up as soon as I left the lot.My bad for not checking, although it did help me on the return since I filled up in Jersey and I did not have to pay CT gas prices and I returned it with slightly more gas than I was given. However, I did receive a few wellness calls during the 2 days I had the car so they are very attentive that way. I would rent here again. read more

I have been dealing with the Old Saybrook Enterprise branch for the past year. I find the staff quite helpful and accommodating. I had rented the new Fiat for one of my rentals and it was very clean and fun to drive. Since they knew I liked the car they tried to give it to me each time I rented. During that time a weekend promotion was happening. I was able to rent the Fiat (or a very comparable car) from Sat. noon to Mon. noon for a little over $24.00 - total! What a deal. With that rate I got 200 free miles per day. Since I drive an SUV and the same trip would have cost me approx. $70-80 in gas alone, this price was ideal. I also found the gals in the office quite friendly and "on the ball". Thank you Enterprise of Old Saybrook for taking some stress out of my life! read more
