1 Star - Completely Misleading & Disorganized This was by far the worst experience I've had with a rental company. After my accident, I was already dealing with enough stress, and this location made everything worse. Frankie told me the coverage would be $70 total, no matter how long I needed the car. I then had a 20-minute conversation with James, who broke everything down and told me the total would be $101. Based on that, I agreed to move forward. Now I wake up to three completely different charges on my account. When I called, Juan told me the coverage is now $12.99 PER DAY, which has already pushed my total to over $200, plus a deposit fee that was never disclosed to me. At this point, it's clear there is zero communication between staff -- the left hand truly does not know what the right hand is doing. Every single person gave me a different answer, and none of it matched what I was actually charged. When I brought it up, Juan casually told me I could "just cancel if I want." That's not a solution -- that's avoiding responsibility. This location is misleading, disorganized, and completely lacks transparency. I've been coming to this Enterprise Rent-A-Car location for years, and unfortunately, one thing never changes: it is chronically understaffed. There is almost always a line, always people waiting, and always a sense that the location is stretched far thinner than it should be. That said, there is one major saving grace--and that is Seif, the branch manager. Seif is the reason this review isn't a one-star. Watching him work is honestly impressive. He manages a limited staff, maximizes efficiency however he can, treats every customer with respect, and stays calm and professional even when people are understandably frustrated. He listens, he communicates, and he genuinely tries to make things right. He is an absolute asset to this location and, quite frankly, the only reason I continue to rent here. Now for the downside: the cars. I was initially given a Nissan Rogue that seemed fine at first, but issues quickly became apparent. Once I hit speeds over 50 mph, the car started making concerning noises. The AC barely cooled unless it was set to 65 degrees. The passenger side was dirty, and worse, there was a prescription pill left behind--which is incredibly alarming, especially if a child or pet had been in the vehicle. To top it off, there was a very strong weed smell, so strong that I had to roll the windows down to tolerate it. I called Seif, and to his credit, he immediately worked to get me into a more modern Nissan Rogue. While this vehicle was an improvement mechanically, it still had a dirty passenger side (which Seif noted and addressed right away), and there was no windshield wiper fluid in the car. So why is this review a "would maybe recommend" instead of a flat-out no? One word: Seif. I watched him do the absolute best he could with what he was given, and it was clear he genuinely cares about customer experience despite the obstacles. Enterprise is incredibly lucky to have him. If he ever leaves this branch, they should brace themselves for a flood of one-star reviews--because without him, this location simply wouldn't function. Enterprise corporate really needs to step up staffing and vehicle quality here. I only needed a rental for a couple of days while my vehicle was at the body shop. Upon arrival, I waited patiently as the male employee was assisting other customers. When the employee became available to assist me, I showed him my member number then proceeded to give him the information he asked for. Once I made my payment, which included a deposit that will be refunded once the rental is returned, the employee took me to the vehicle I would be renting and did a thorough inspection on the condition of the vehicle's interior & exterior. I continue to be satisfied with the customer service received from the staff at Enterprise located on the corner of Powerline Rd. and Copans Rd. The staff was kind,, courteous and accommodating and the car was perfect clean no smoking smell I highly recommend them 5 stars***** this was not an insurance claim so the price was the same as if I was using car insurance Great people and location read more

I hate enterprise, they don't give a shit about you. Not even 24 hours of having the rental , the bottom of the car came off.... I hadn't drove anywhere that day and so proceeded to go change the rental , the manager of the place had said that i "ran it over a parking spot " but there was no scratches so how .... he also told me that they always check there car before giving it to others but that's bs because if so this would have never happened to me , there's no way they look at the bottom Of the car ..,,.. They just wait for someone to say something to pin it on you , he then proceeded to tell me it was my fault and it was going on a claim .... Had a problem a month ago. the car my husband rented broke down and he was on the side of the road for 6 hours and we were told to call police to have them drive him to a hotel. Was informed by customer service to call the branch and they would pay for hotel and car rental. They did not. my family and i rent cars every month for a week at a time due to the traveling we do. Because of the bad customer service we will use hertz. Enterprise has now lost over $2500 a year from us. read more

It would be easy to write a negative review of a car rental company. But by the time I was done with my rental from Enterprise Pompano I was feeling very positive. I had a problem with my truck the other day and my mechanic wanted to set me up with Enterprise. The office sent a gal to come pick me up. The car had that "smoked cigarette in" smell, but other than that it was a nice ride to the office. From there it was great service. They got me in and out in record time. I got a great car at a really good same day rate. The gal who helped me out was exceptionally helpful. She knew I had to get back to work and she made things extra smooth. I kept the car for a couple days and I had no problems with the car. When I came back with the car I was met by the same gal who was all smiles. Everyone who worked there was cheerful in fact. A great strength for a place where most customers are coming in a little irate already. I don't plan to be in a pinch for a car soon. But if I am, I won't hesitate to use this Enterprise. read more

This is a horribly run location. Specifically the manager Eddie, and another employee, Taylor, do not care one iota about customers. They did not have the car I rented as we found out the night before... not great, but it can happen, BUT they had another different vehicle that would work. I get there and it's packed with only one agent at the counter. I tell the agent about no one ever picking up the phone and all I get is a blank stare with no explanation. Not at all happy with them. Forced to rent my car thought them by Geico since my car is on the shop. They weren't there when I met them to drop off my car at A1 Body Shop up Powerline Road. They showed up with the wrong class of vehicle (I wanted economy) and while I was signing the agreement (in a hurry- since they weren't there on time) I was tricked into getting the insurance and was not told it was a daily charge. It was explained that there was an option to "pay $12.99 and if the car is in an accident, you can walk away." Never was a daily charge mentioned. I also requested to swap the car for a comparable one and these people had me drive over to the location & waste my lunch break to find out that they didn't have the vehicle I requested. Wth. I got a surprise phone call 10 days into the rental telling me that I owe them $140 for something that was inferred that was a one time charge. Why would they wait 10 days to contact me? Probably to turn a profit on an unsuspecting customer. I left work immediately and I went to the location to dispute it and since I signed the contract, like a fool, they would only take off half the charge and forced me to pay $64. The guy that original rented me the car was there & tried to intercept me before speaking me to management. He had the nerve to look me in the face and tell me "it's a daily charge, it's always daily. " Very professional customer service since this wasn't explained at the time of rental. Management, if you're reading this, please retrain Jesse. He should have explained this thoroughly. I'm not sure what kind of scam they're running here- it seems as if they do this to customers all the time. Be warned before renting a car here - they will suggest add ons and fail to explain- leaving your wallet at their mercy. I will never chose Enterprise for car rental because of this one experience. I am a senior citizen, What I Reserved is not what I Received. I was promised by the Branch Manager Mike that he would issue me a refund when I returned the vehicle not so. Back in October 21, 2019, I made a reservation for a 15 passenger Van Ford Transit with Enterprise Rent-A-Car located at 2400 N Powerline Road, Pompano Beach, FL 33069 given Reservation#1948932194 for a total of $504.28. This vehicle was being used for me and my family members to drive up to Atlanta, GA for Thanksgiving. I went to pickup the van on 11/25/19, however when I arrived they said they did not have the 15 passenger Van I reserved. They wanted to offer me 2-7 passenger CaraVan but I did not have another driver to drive that vehichle nor the money to pay for extra gas. So instead they gave me 1-7 passenger CaraVan 2019 DODG GCAR SXT GRAY MED License: FL LDCN14 VIN: 2C4RDGCG3KR620248 Vehicle: 7RYYFG for the total cost of $521.76 which was more than the 15 passenger van which is what I reserved. T he van was dirty, I had to wait 45 minutes for them to clean it and they gave it to me with no gas and no spare tire. Which I had to fill up for gas and they insisted on me getting roadside assistance because the Van didnt have a spare tire and because of my concern of traveling so far without a spare. So our Thanksgiving plans was ruined because I had to leave behind 8 family members due to the space and not having what I reserved. I expressed my dissatisfaction as this was not what I reserved nor did I feel like I should have been paying more for a 7 passenger van when I was quoted way less for a 15 passenger van. On the way to Atlanta, GA I expressed my dissatisfaction to Corporate, which they had the Branch Manger from the Pompano Beach location to call me with a resolved. He did in fact call and explained to ask to see him when I returned the Van and that he would reimburse me for the roadside assistance they had me purchase and he promised that he would make things right with adjusting the charges for the caravan. When I went to return the van on 12/2/2019, I asked for the Branch Manager like I was told to however they claimed he was not there and that I would have to take my complaint to Corporate. So again I was being given the runaround. This was never resolved I was still charged on my card. I have yet to speak to anyone regarding the matter they waited til January 2020 to charge my card. read more

I'll start by saying I went on a Monday, which made things worse. My saga started when they couldn't pick me up until 1-11/2 hours after I called. I ended up walking to the place and after I got there I had to wait two hours to get my car. However, the girl behind the front counter, which I'm ashamed I can't remember her name, had such a great attitude that by the time I left I almost forgot about all the waiting and trouble I went thru. I did my reservation, I arrived and they did not have enough cars, there were two people in front of me waiting for cars.. a nice lady which name I do not recalled now told me to call two other locations (yes she told me to call two other locations, I was expecting her to help me better due to the aggravation of no having a rental car as promise) and see if they were willing to rent me a car under the same reservation... they did not. Then I spoke to the Assistant Manager Maxime Joseph and he "PROMISE" me that he would call me as soon as one car arrived so that I could take my rental, I went back to my work ... I call twice and a woman told me there were no cars. I called a 3-4-5-6 times and no answer from anyone... Thank you Enterprise... Here is my story: During hurricane Irma, they offered me a car with literally no gas. The fuel light was on. We were in state of emergency with gas near impossible to come by for the average joe. They did not advise me this when I reserved on the phone. Yes, I spoke to a living person to reserve on the phone, as I knew the delicate situation of a hurricane approaching. I asked for another car, with the same results. At no point did the agent seek to find ANY car with gasoline to offer me considering these circumstances. Just a shrug of the shoulders. (Maybe I should have done the same shrug when they asked for payment). I asked her the logical question; what am I going to do right now with a car with no gasoline?... she had no thoughts on the topic. So I continued to ask her who do I call WHEN this car runs out of gas?... she advised someone comes to give you a gallon to get to next station. I asked why her office didn't call for gas BEFORE I (or anyone) arrived to rent their cars!...she couldn't care less. I had no choice but to take a chance to get to any station that still had gas. Wait in line hoping not to stall. Very fortunately, I was able to get gas, after losing 2 hours of travel time. Chapter 2: Bad to worse: When returning the vehicle, I was hit with an additional $300+ fee for the insurance which I NEVER accept. I rent cars often. I told this to the agent who insisted I did. Clearly the enlightened woman I dealt with above misunderstood my words of NO. I insisted over and over, however the employee would do nothing. NOTHING. After such an already difficult week with a hurricane I just didn't have the energy to battle any longer. I advised them that I was a frequent customer and will no longer be. (They didn't care - not a surprise). I'll surely be writing the company about this. In conclusion, do yourself a favor and pick another location, another company. We have been loyal customers for years both my husband and myself. We rented alot from this location and the one in Pembroke Pines Fl. On July 2 2017, Kat called from the location 2400 N Powerline Rd Pompano Beach Fl and offered my husband a free day of rental and a free upgrade, My husband accepted the offer and picked up the car on July 2 2017. When we made our reservation we asked for a nissan or similar and was quoted 279.00 for 6 days. We were charged 561.11 which leads us to believe that we were charged full price for the rental. This is the vehicle I'm driving 300 miles that same day. Then almost bumps into me when he drops the keys off because he is having a bad day. Call regional manager to complain and he is rude to me right off the get. Rude and completely unsympathetic towards what had happened. And read the paper work before you sign, don't listen to the associates at the front desk. They say things and tell you things that are inaccurate. One star is overly generous. One of the worst companies I had to deal with. The manager was very rude, used the card that was on hold for any damages towards the rental, without my permission. Had no damages on the rental. He would not release the hold on my card when I wanted to pay cash. I was charged for four days when I only used it for three. Then I was told that no one would take me to get my car. Was left outside to fend for myself. This happened When I complained about the forth day charge. The so called pretend manager told me he was calling the police. Very unprofessional. I had Uber pick me up. Enterprise is a rip off. My wife used to rent from this Enterprise location once a week for a work commute (1 day rentals) until she was presented with a $400 claim for cosmetic damage to a vehicle that was returned in exactly the same condition as when it was rented. My wife had always advised that on numerous occasions she had rented vehicles from that location with scratches and nicks, and that typically when she pointed out those scratches and nicks during the initial walk-around inspection she was told that they do not need to be documented and not to worry about them. To that point, it was raining on the day the vehicle involved in the claim was rented, and the rental agent basically decided to forego an actual walk-around altogether in order to get back inside. Then, wouldn't you know it...they try to pin a superficial cosmetic scratch on my wife. So much for her repeated business for nearly a year, and she was told that this is why she should have been purchasing their insurance rather than relying on our own personal coverage. It came off as almost a shake down since we were exposed due to not purchasing their insurance (which, of course, doubles the daily cost of the rental). Well, amateur attorney Jason got involved and contested the claim. I know that had I presented the issue to my credit card company they would have covered the expense up to my deductible so that ultimately we would never pay anything out of pocket for it, but strictly on GP I wasn't having this. And, after a couple carefully crafted written messages were fired off to the claims agent citing the practices of the agents at this location and the apparent systemic issue of willful negligence, the case was dismissed. Since that time my wife has successfully continued to rent on a weekly basis without incident at another Enterprise location. If considering renting from here, I suggest you follow our lead and look elsewhere. read more

I have rented from this location multiple times over the last 5 years as it is close to my office. The staff is usually very accommodating and the selection of cars, while limited, usually suits my needs. Biggest problem I have is with the Enterprise "process" and paperwork. I usually rent from Hertz when traveling. I check my name on their "board" - proceed to my designated car - head for the exit kiosk - hand the agent my driver's license - he checks to make sure I have a full tank of gas - I collect my receipt - and leave the facility. Whole process takes about 5 minutes. No paperwork is generated by hand. Enterprise uses some sort of antiquated system of "manual print forms". Carbon copies are generated. Five or six signatures and initials. Then we walk to the car and try to identify existing scratches and dents. Process is repeated in reverse order when I return the vehicle. Car is never full of gas. Have to return it with the same amount I left with (or more) or a penalty is collected at the time of return. Depending upon facility staffing, the rental process can take 20-30 minutes. The return process about 10-15 minutes. Last time I had to answer questions about the level of customer service I had received. Bottom line is that compared to competitive rental companies, the rental/return process at Enterprise is excruciating for me as the customer and the whole thing serves to make the Enterprise facility staff look less than efficient. read more
